The smell alone is enough to gnaw away at one's sanity. That's not even mentioning the innumerable horrifying creatures that can kill you in some of the most awful ways imaginable. Short answer: no...definitely not.

You could be there for 10 seconds. Get magically teleported back to your home town by the neighborhood wizard. Within a week you along with the rest of the town would be ground zero for the next plague. Hence "Stay away or we infect"

For whatever reason, nurgle’s lore is so bloody interesting 😂
Khorne's lore is bloody interesting, Nurgle's is miserably great

It’s grotesquely fascinating
I like all of chaos lore but I LOVE grandfather nurgle for the body horror factor alone.
He hits so many fantastic horror notes. The body horror. The undeath and putrescence. Dominion over and manifesting from disease.
But it's the nature of familial love and kindness that makes it such a great faction for me. That uncharacteristically heart warming lie that Nurgle loves his happily rotting denizens as they're trapped for eternity as slaves to his will. That's just a stroke of grotesque genius!

You only got to worry about, man eaten kangaroos, giant ants, carnivores koalas, baby snatching giant flies, local deathclaws, poisonous snakes, pack hunting emu and Mel Gibson.
Apart from that you are ok to go.

Consuming too much Warhammer lore in any form, I developed a bad habit of saying 'Nurgle's blessings' whenever someone sneezes in the real world. Some get the clue, most don't.
A normal mortal would end up with several hundred diseases the moment they set foot in the realms of the Grandfather ... only those who have accepted the 'gifts' of Nurgle, would still be 'alive' after the first couple breaths of putrid air.
For all that Nurgle and his servants like to claim that everything that exist is decaying at all times it is important to remember that while powerful nations, kingdoms and empires fell eventually they didn't start as great but as tiny nations, sometimes as just a small village no more than a few hovels near one another.
Things grow and develop, they rise high before they fall and Nurgle wants you yo forget that while Death is inevitable you can still rise so far before she claims you.
Because Nurgle is not Death. If Nurgle really was inevitable then he would not spend all his time brewing new "gifts" to spread.
Nurgle is right if there is no supernatural existence to truly attain. Material life is meaningless growth and decay and there is no progress only mutation destruction and rebirth. Fortunately, God exists and is calling you to overcome this fallenness and Nurgle is wrong.
Buboes, phlegm, blood, & guts! Boils, bogeys, rot & pus! Blisters, fevers, weeping sores! From your wounds the fester pours.

I like each of the chaos gods for all of the things they do in their own right but the grandfather holds a special place in my heart as one of the original of thw four brothers i learned of alongside khorne. He seems unique amongst the gods in that he has an infectious desire to share his gifts. Pun intended.

One thing that makes me think of the Scythes of the Emperor as the new XIV Legion are the Nurgle Tyranids, Genestealers and Hexwraiths (because of their symbol).

I find myself to be a scholar of Nurgle and even I learned something today, if I were to manifested in the garden of Nurgle, I would wish to be a deamon for I would hate to imagine what would happen to my human body if I was exposed to the virulence of the garden without prior exposure.
If you trust and put your faith in Nurgle your body will decay, and rot but you won't feel any pain and will still be physically able to shamble around spreading Papa's gifts.
My favorite thing about nurgle is that when someone says garden you think of a nice place with all kinds of like flowers or vegetables or even fruit but nurgles garden is full of toxic fungi an mushrooms, mosses and poisonous flowers, deadly vines and microbial life of all kinds, mostly infectious, i love it
I'm a huge fan of high elves, but if I ever had to be a chaos aligned entity I would go undivided... each god has his own pros and cons. Nurgle being the most horrifying of the 4

normal human, even in a hardened and sealed suit rated to handle even the worst hazardous environments, i would guess that within an hour, at best. the hardiest of space marines might actually stand a chance to last a day in the garden, without his armour

During my military service, I had plenty of experience of throwing away food waste. There was also one time an animal died near my outpost during summer.

honestly when the smell of a decaying animal hit me it wasnt even that bad of a smell, like i smelled worse but my body instantly reacted to it and i had to almost throw up
My guess is Nurgle's realm is so bad, stepping into the land will instantly have you puking your literal guts out. The air may be so foul, you may get 1 breathe and your lungs will grow blacker than a decades long cig smoker

If you ever lose your way in the garden of Nurgle, just look for the vomiting tree and take a hard left towards the bile pool which should be close to a cluster of diarrhea splodges that encircle some defocating maggot seeping gangrene rotting sickness flies, all bubbling with bursting warts of puss and putrid insects salivating on corpses of fat inside sewers of stagnant urine blobs of congealed intestines

Can we admit the only good God is nurgle. Sigmar, like the rest of the gods never hear out their followers, and when they do it's often disaster. Nurgle is literally the embodiment of forgiveness, family, and glee even in the eyes of death. He's literally the only god with compassion and forgiveness.
In the name of Khorn you may only die once, it will be glorious and final. However, in the name of Nurgle you can die as many times as you wish, returning again and again no matter how many times you are laid low.
