    Its best to remove the transfer sheild when its hot. thats the reason why its called heat transfer. If u let it cool down with the sheild, u have to do it over again.

    Does it matter if the sticker is put over little letters or groves or designs that the og tire has my tires have no free flat clean areas can I just put it right over anything and heat it up???

      ritchie gutierrez Yes, these decals are intended to apply over existing raised rubber surfaces as well as ribbed areas. While a smooth section of sidewall is ideal for application, it is not ultimately necessary.

    can i use a heat gun in substitution for an iron?

    • @Tirestickers
      @Tirestickers  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      AfUgGiNhYpEdNiKkO For absolute best results you'll want to use an iron, which will also allow you to apply a small amount of pressure when heating.

    is that a ordinary sticker like 3m?

    • @Tirestickers
      @Tirestickers  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it's not, there is no standard vinyl or conventional material that will work. Our Heat Applied product was discontinued and replaced with our permanent raised rubber solution!

    Um. Do the instructions specifically say to use acetone? I myself would NEVER put a chemical designed to eat rubber, plastic, glue, etc. etc. on the thinnest part of the tire. Acetone will continue to eat the rubber, even after it's wiped off, unless it is thoroughly, THOROUGHLY flushed with soap and water.

    • @Tirestickers
      @Tirestickers  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Inferno LT acetone is completely safe to use as the limited amount transferred on a rag will evaporate after several minutes when exposed to ambient air. It will soften the rubber and create pores to increase the effectiveness of the adhesive similar to utilizing a fine grit sand paper. This chemical, along with brake cleaner are utilized and supported by professional race teams and tire companies. For a less harsh chemical, rubbing alcohol, brake cleaner or denatured alcohol are substitutes (included on the instructions).

      Yes, but... it looks like that tire is getting pretty heavy coats of it. hope those tires were just for demonstration or you maybe wanting to look at new tires soon and new stickers i guess

      YikesJobSi
      I've worked with acetone for the last 30 yrs, when it evaporates the chemical reaction is over. Acetone is 7 x's lighter than air.
