Crazy how good that looks. I have a old set of tires I am going to practice on. This channel is HIGHLY underrated. I predict a steady growth that could go on forever. When it’s good, it’s good!!
I am a graphic designer moto head and screen printer and have 90% of these items already and just needed to see someone put it all together. Air brushing is new to me and I feel like you made this pro tutorial just for me, thanks a ton for sharing your craft! Really great information that did not leave me with any major questions. Well done, now I will go try to paint my IRC M5B tire! 🛞🛞
I do mine with bog standard artists acrylic paint. Inflate fully, and dab it on like a potato print, don't brush it. (You want to impregnate the gaps in the rubber) let some air out and clean it up, inflate and repeat for a strong visual. First discovered while blacking out giant yellow maxxis logos 🤣 lasts well as it's fairly flexible and the colours are vivid. Dab though and keep it a really light coat, you want it 'in' the rubber not 'on' it. And yes it's wash resistant unless you max out your tyre pressure and scrub it out of the grain. (Btw maxxis has sister company CST. half the price, same rubber, same factory, better tread designs. Smaller white logos (police use em)👍)
Great video as usual. Your videos have inspired me to repaint my '94 Cannondale. If that goes well, then I will repaint another old Cannondale I have. I have four!
My son wants me to add the yellow Dunlop logo to his dirtbike and Surron tires but I cant seem to find all the items needed. Could you help me get the correct materials for the painting process? The links you provided are no longer available and wanted to see if you can help me get the the correct solvent, the screenprint ink and the correct tip for the airbrush. I was not sure if you would use the same materials or make any changes since the vide was made? Thanks again
I am repainting my road bike and I want to use vinyl decals (not painted or clear coated on) so that I can easily change them. Will they survive a bike wash with a hose?
@ETOE Nice video as always, can you recommend a specific brand to create decals? what thickness should the film have so that the edges do not stand out. in your video description you mention the slide from Oracal , have you had problems with certain paint brands and the film from OracleYou have often mentioned that you have to be careful that the paint also matches the decals and that no bubbles form later, etc., how can I find out whether the film fits my paint
Great vid mate but i have a question regarding the Nitro Thinner- can i use anything else like acetone for example? Is the idea to just clean the rubber surface or is the thinner having another affect like softening the rubber/making it tacky/etc so the plastisol will stick?
Thanks Martin as always neat job ......i have only 1 question. can we use a aerosol spray can?? if we don't have a proper paint booth setup. I have used oil based liquid paint in the past & waited for a week to cure but it didnt last long 😭 So will 4 layers of aerosol spray can last long?
Do I still need a hardener and a thinner with the paint you have in the link? (Its not the same as what you used in the video...so I don't know what to thin it with)...Great video by the way...a lot of good info and humor !
@@ETOE I tried to find the hardener for it (unsuccessfully)...are you able to tell me the name of the hardener and the thinner (Im from the U.S. and am not very familiar with the products I may need)...Your help will be greatly appreciated
Dude you crack me up. Keep the jokes coming and the video's you make are great!! THX Bro. I have a question for you. If there are no good open spaces for a new logo on I.E a motorcycle tire. Can you flatten the current or old imprinted names that is normally ribbed or raised from the manufacturer and then paint over that surface again?.............not sure if you tried this. THX
I had tire stickers. They got all screwed up. This is because the curbs in Jerome Arizona are high and the roads are very narrow. Parking is so limited that if you see a space you better grab it quick. So I did. I ended up scraping against the curb. Anyway, it looked so ugly I removed the stickers from my tires completely because I didn't want it on one tire and not on the other. I wish they made something you can put over the lettering to protect it. I know that's nearly impossible with tires, but I really wish that it was possible. Now that I had to remove the stickers the glue etched the tires and they look like they have cancer. It's awful. Brand new tires too. I would have just turned them to the inside, but they're one directional so I couldn't could not could not.
Yep - Enjoyed as always. But something has been bugging me for a while. When you translate “Pudding an der wand nageln” into English, ‘pudding’ needs to be translated to ‘Custard’. In English ‘Pudding’ is a generic Northern term for any desert, and there are many examples of Puddings we had at school dinner (In the North, you had dinner at lunchtime, tea in the evening) which you could’ve easily nailed to a wall. When we did have puddings which you couldn’t nail to the wall, the problem would’ve been finding a strong enough nail and heavy enough hammer.
Crazy how good that looks. I have a old set of tires I am going to practice on.

Great stuff! The comment about "the off line world" is priceless! Thanks for another useful video!
Simply the best advice on all things paint related on TH-cam 😊
Thank you!!! I've been trying to pull this off for months!!
From DIY'ers Thanks! Your best on making decals/stencils... Whole process from getting images to software to printers! Best 1 Thx!

This guy is the best funny, but he knows his stuff!
That's so awesome. My supermax project is now getting Supermax decal on the tyres.
Thank you!

Awesome. I love the energy put into this :D
very nice! its always scary peeling off maskings on rubbery paint but that turned out very clean.👍

What kind of thinning paint
Could you skip thinning the paint if you wanted to use the brush and masking to keep it from bleeding under?
Yes you can.
Hello etoe, thank you for this video. Which shop in Germany did you get the screen printing products?
At a fucking expensive shop. No advertisements for such an expensive shop!
“I tried the sh*t it didn’t work” 😂😂😂 I know the feeling.
What hardener did you use?
What can i use

How to set the circumference size of a tyre if it's 27.5 itches?
Two times radius times pi or diameter times pi
