I had an immovable object vs an unstoppable force moment, I was invaded by a sorcerer with fat damage and being a strength boi with nothing but war cry on a big hammer I ran through his spells taking a crap ton of damage and I did a jump attack on him, one shot him and his lingering spell killed me, we both died the peak of our respective builds and it was pretty funny to see the duality of man lol

So long as you play by yourself, or only summon other players to fight bosses, you can totally avoid this. But if you plan on exploring/clearing a dungeon with other players, then there is a possibility that you may get invaded.

Honestly the host was probably super pissed off because he fought so hard and used every flask charge he had to get there........ And then a fully prepared invader with full "everything" shows up. I'd jump off too and play something else for a while. We'll see a huge decline in player base with enough encounters like that.
I think for this game to be viable in PVP we need a higher soul level meta, a lot of things have too high damage and you need to pump vigor all the way up in order to not get 1 shot.
Honestly as much as I think this is insane spells and ashes of war are easily dodged most of the time so I think some really high damage spells are good. Kind of the other guys fault for staying back that much

What I am noticing is a huge amount of players not continuing the estus etiquette. Not that it's a huge problem but yea.. nice to keep the tradition going.
This game is probably going to end up like Bloodborne healing wise. Everything just does such crazy damage end game now. A complete build of basically anything can consistently dish out 1000+ AR. Without healing it is basically going to be a match of who gets hit first. Now, with that said I think honor duels at lower levels are totally viable. The problem, my friend, is that everything scales ridiculously well. All damage types have great gains all the way up to fucking 80.
This was an invasion, you can choose to duel your host, but you are not obligated to, you never know if they have a phantom hiding waiting to jump in when they get low, also Invaders are not always seeking a fair fight. It's anything goes in an invasion.
Yea this build is super fun, im running the bolt with high fth lighting dragon spells and its awesome for pvp, I still get destroyed by the moonveil katana tho lol

I see mage builds with low vigor a dime for a hundred and every time one of them invades I clean it up in less than a few seconds with dual falchions with bleed. me having 50 vigor means I can literally run through their spells and one shot them with my dash attack. It's great.
Use the item you got from being hugged from from the woman. If you dont get a health debuff which you are having. Its the item that temporarily increases poise.

if you use the crystal tear that boost lightning damage, the talisman that boosts lightning damage, and the talisman "Godwyn Icon," you can end up doing ~1500 to players with a fully charged bolt

Quality pvp for me is just palisade shield with bleed and that folks is how I accidently made 1 shot art of war build that works 80% removing the % of those people who uses dash arts. Also pvp in a nutshell is also having your friend disconnect after every kill leaving me with only 82 furling fingers after constant battling by myself.
You can put down a red summon sign for duels anywhere, and there's a specific duel location I think but I haven't got there yet. I just use the red finger item that invades other peoples games in whatever location you're in. Only problem is it only puts you against groups of players, unless you're lucky enough to get put into a world where someone has lured invaders (never happened to me so far).
by far the most toxic shit I've dealt with is the people with eclipse shotel and self damage pyromancy they just roll into you for 3 seconds and you get death status applied

The game itself encourages you to run 40 vigor minimum anyways. Health scaling *increases* witch each vigor level, up to 40.

Estus etiquette is for duels. Invasions have always been anything goes.

Does the damage of the lightning art scale with Faith or Dex? I'm 60 faith but the damage feels meh, so wondering if more dex would help
Mostly scales off the weapon stats but faith will buff it some.

Kinda wish we could use summons as an invader, even though that would be broken. Would just be fun trying to watch a bunch of cooperators struggle against a mimic of me just to have to still deal with the real thing.
Or the 5 people summon lmao, they're easy to kill but I imagine it would be a huge pain to have to deal with 1 human and 5 npcs at once lol
@@smells109 Hell yeah, I just unlocked the one that summons the humanoids from Nokron. Except there is 5, and all have Great shields.😂

@@smells109 Haven't actually tried it yet. If they are anything like their enemy counterparts they should have a guard non special attacks have a really hard time getting through.

Quality pvp for me is just palisade shield with bleed and that folks is how I accidently made 1 shot art of war build that works 80% removing the % of those people who uses dash arts. Also pvp in a nutshell is also having your friend disconnect after every kill leaving me with only 82 furling fingers after constant battling by myself.
That's what every invader gets after defeating all my summons. Disconnect!

To pvp do you have to be in a certain location or does it just matchmake
You can put down a red summon sign for duels anywhere, and there's a specific duel location I think but I haven't got there yet. I just use the red finger item that invades other peoples games in whatever location you're in. Only problem is it only puts you against groups of players, unless you're lucky enough to get put into a world where someone has lured invaders (never happened to me so far).

by far the most toxic shit I've dealt with is the people with eclipse shotel and self damage pyromancy they just roll into you for 3 seconds and you get death status applied

Same, id love to see how much dmg it would put out on a full dex build if i had an extra 20-30 points in dex instead of faith the dmg would be crazy
