I'd play along right up to the part where they wanted my bank details and then suddenly remember that, actually, I don't have any debts and that it was myself within a parallel universe they were talking to, prior to remembering that I didn't owe any money to anyone. Funny how that happens, especially when you're not expecting any calls from anyone. You should have told him you're paying off the cost of buying a yatch. Or, that you're paying off a loan on your own space shuttle. Really rack up the figure, just to see what kind of reaction you get.

With an IVA you do NOT pay your creditors direct - that's the whole point as they get a commission and charges! It also affects credit ratings AND mortgage. His script is illegal! I could "work under the guidelines" of anything.
Scammers like this are just so obvious. Their reputation of particular pieces of information, the stuttering, the scripted nature of the whole ordeal, the stupid names they call their programmes( IVA, more like WTF). They're amateurs at best

electric companies in the UK will not cut off the electric due to late payment because it's illegal to do this until after a court date is set and a prepayment metre is installed or a payment plan is agreed

this isn't a scammer. they do debt solution. so you pay a monthly fee for all instead of a higher debt. the only catch is you pay more but in smaller amounts
It is a scam. They pretend to be from government backed debt relief organisations and once they have taken your details you end up paying them rather than your creditors. By law, debt relief organisations in the UK are NOT allowed to cold call people.
yesterday i got a call by a similar company claiming to be IVA, i was told my debts will be wiped out by 80 percent, bla bla bla, i told them sory mate your too good to be true for me. i will take no future part in your company.

I somewhat enjoy it when they call me, claim to be Microsoft telling me I have a wirus. Maybe I'm a masochist, but I love all the angry swearing I get when I point out that I'm driving, the computer is off, I'm 250 miles from the modem and that I know they're a scammer. It saves me the swearing of answering my phone while I'm driving. (Mom is in her 80's, so I answer not looking at caller ID.)
Just had one whilst i was trying to watch this, an automated call saying my internet was going to be turned off if I did not press 1 which will put me through to someone who's meant to help, i just made the boop noise with my mouth pretending to press the 1, waited and they hung up, seconds later the phone rang again so i ignored it to watch this lol

Because it wasnt a scam call in order to qualify for iva your debt level has to be more than 5000 than only you qualify if he would have provided him a debt level of 5000 than he would have transferred the call to his uk advisor who are regulated by the fca and they can only do an iva

If you are a vulnerable person ie elderly, disabled or there are children in the home neither your gas nor electric can be cut off in the U.K.
