I got told on one call that they had to assign me a new Social Security number because they noticed fraudulent activity under my current number, however it cost $5,000 to get the new SSN and if I don’t get the new number then I will be found guilty of the fraudulent activity... they thought they had the money in the bag because I went along with it for a good hour and a half and then let them know I knew they were full of shit, they got sooo mad!!! This irs will send you sometime in the mail you almost never get calls unless it’s an issue you know about and have been in communication with them about. Also if you owe they are starting to call about balance dues but you will know about it first .. I have worked there so I know.... definitely check on the Elderly and also call the irs number 1800-829-1040 to make sure

I got one of these for the first time in 2009. Was a voicemail saying there was a Warrent. I actually called the police to ask what was going on, lol. They made me drive down there to speak with an officer and it was really ridiculous

When he says that he is sending officers to my home to arrest me I tell them that would be great because I just made a batch of cookies and will put the coffee on when they get here because I've been so lonely lately. I also do a senior hard of hearing thing to get them to keep repeating things in my frail little old lady voice and when I get tired of messing with them, I switch to my *itch from Hell voice and tell them to stop scamming people!

I got one of these calls and drove the scammer insane pretending I didn't speak english very well .They got real upset and reverted to their foreign language and then hung up on me .I laughed so hard I spit the beer thru my nose .
One Indian scammer called me about my computer, I feigned being unable to understand them - he did have a thick accent - and apologised that I didn't understand Urdu. That got them VERY upset (they speak Urdu in Pakistan, not India)! :)

I'm 70 and do a similar thing. When he says that he is sending officers to my home to arrest me I tell them that would be great because I just made a batch of cookies and will put the coffee on when they get here because I've been so lonely lately. I also do a senior hard of hearing thing to get them to keep repeating things in my frail little old lady voice and when I get tired of messing with them, I switch to my *itch from Hell voice and tell them to stop scamming people!

I got one of these calls and drove the scammer insane pretending I didn't speak english very well .They got real upset and reverted to their foreign language and then hung up on me .I laughed so hard I spit the beer thru my nose .
One Indian scammer called me about my computer, I feigned being unable to understand them - he did have a thick accent - and apologised that I didn't understand Urdu. That got them VERY upset (they speak Urdu in Pakistan, not India)! :)
