I just recently passed my test this past Thursday and I’m currently looking for a local job but just by watching this video I’m gonna take you’re advice 💪🏾💪🏾
As a big side note for anyone watching these videos looking for careers advice whether or not a company will hire recent graduates depends entirely on what state you’re applying in. Not all franchises will hire recent graduates, so if a company you have your eye on wasn’t on this list they still may hire you. Also some companies on this list won’t hire you. It depends on where you live. Also beware, some of these companies will have you driving in very high risk, tight places and as a new driver you DO NOT want to start racking up accidents. TAKE YOUR TIME & KNOW YOUR LIMITS. Some of these companies won’t hesitate for a second to have you backing in off a busy street on your first day on your own.
As someone studying permit and doing hours of research on good to knows and risks of being screwed this comment was worth more then days of videos I watched this week💯
I I started out with pfg it was not for me not a bad company it was just the area I was in that was disorganized . Now I deliver milk to grocery stores and have a four day work week and a lot less physical then food service.
Yes, I consider myself to be an introvert as well. However, there are moments where you may have to interact with customers. Usually it’s just a simple greeting. You’re not really having long conversations. After your training, it’s just you & the truck unless you’re with a company who does team driving.
I just got my CDL about 2 weeks ago. Been debating if I should go otr but idk if it’s worth it right now with the way the fright is. Kind of leaning towards local at the moment🤷🏾♂️
I got lucky. Got my CDL 6 months ago and been with a beer distributor on my own route. Work 8 hours and make decent money. I could make more but the schedule I have is great. I’ll move up to sales eventually.
It’s looking like I might have to go OTR to start out if I want drive combinations. I can get hire all day for a straight truck. I have a friend at Sysco trying to get me pushed threw, talking to the higher up. Hoping to here something soon.🤞🏽
Salute to your channel..I haven’t been using my CDL in last 8 months and just to stay local I have interview tomorrow with PFG here in South Carolina.. #salute because of your channel
I spoke with a Prime representative a few days ago and the person said drivers need at least 6 months tractor-trailer experience. That's weird if they have a training program.
That’s very weird considering their website specifically states and I quote “Whether you’re a new driver who’s just beginning their journey into trucking or you’re far beyond your millionth mile, you may still have questions about your experience at Prime. Find out why we’re considered one of the best trucking and logistics companies to work for in North America.” Their website also states this and I quote “When we hire a new driver they receive a competitive compensation package that stands out from the rest of the truck driving jobs in the industry.” This is directly from their website. 🤷🏾♂️
A lot of companies are now getting very selective of their drivers because of the market. They would rather train folks to get the CDL from them so you learn their way. Downside is lower pay and normally a contract or repayment. If you already have a CDL they want experience so they don’t have to spend to much time on you. That’s what I’ve found out myself. I still don’t regret getting my CDL on my own vs a carrier school.
Appreciate this bro! I haven't given up on my CDL. I'm now learning how to offset park. Kinda difficult but I probably got about 2-3 weeks at the most before I get my CDL. Appreciate you Ant! 🙏

If you’re interested in getting into trucking, I suggest looking into this program. Good luck 👍🏾
hey thanks for the content it's been helpful in me making my decision when I graduate, would you be able to make a video on how long you have to be in the phase or miles of over the road training with the trainer for some companies.
New subscriber. I really appreciate your content - it’s extremely helpful. Have an interview with Mclane St. Peters Mo Monday - Im concerned about working through the night - seems most food service expect overnight work. I really want the opportunity but this makes me a little cautious. Titus transportation is another- They deliver to Aldis and according to the recruiter ( 🤨 recruiters ) she said they don’t brake down the pallets and you run several runs 10-12 hours per shift. BUT I see it doesn’t appear they put out the money and benefits like Mclane and what you said about GFS. I see GFS is also in that area but I don’t see any job listings on indeed or glass door. Thank you Anthony 👍✌️
Titus NO LONGER haul to Aldi. They're hauling for other companies now. Maybe still hauling to Aldi in other states, but in Georgia, they stop coming to the Jefferson terminal back in late 2022.
I got my CDL thru my local anhusier bush beer company and i hate my job. The work is hard and they refuse to pay us relief drivers, driver salary. I make 45k and do routes in which drivers make 60 to 70k get paid to do. Im looking into food service
Yep, sounds similar to my situation when I did beer delivery prior to food service. Extremely underpaid & overworked. I hope you find something better bro.
I recently got my cdl class b license and now I’m trying to find a trucking job. I currently work at a public bus company but trucking is what I want for me.
Worked for GFS in Houston as my first cdl job, I got burnt out pretty quick and only lasted 4 months pay was extremely well and atmosphere was cool. Mclane is my current job, pay isnt the best but the workload is manageable and atmosphere is cool as well. Been here for a year
PFG is a terrible company with a terrible training program and even worse management! They will micromanage you and over work you by giving you impossible routes that CAN NOT be ran legally! Former employee.. steer clear!
Having a lot of trouble finding a local job I’m in CT Pfg wants 12 months mclane not jobs even pop up Gordon is the same I have all the endorsements just graduated this past Sunday
Jobs could be fake too. It's for their internal statistics so they look good. Kinda like Wells Fargo making multiple fake accounts without the customer's consent or knowledge.
Sorry, but its not possible for someone fresh out of CDL school with ZERO driving experience to make $100k first year. That’s a lie. The BEST carriers require 2 years experience before they’ll even consider you.
I’m never disclosing my salary. I don’t have anything to prove to you. You can believe whatever you want. However, like I stated above making $70-100k in food service is EASY! The proof is in the comments lol. Everybody can’t be lying. Let’s also clarify what you stated, which is “it’s not possible for someone with ZERO driving experience to make $70-100K first year” I still stand on what I said.
I shared your comment on my community tab so others could voice their opinions. I suggest you read those comments. You’ll see several people who made well over 70K their first year.
@@imanthonytv making $70k is not $100k bro. And, yes, $70k is common…but you said you’re making $100k at Gordon. So, I’m asking you!…not your community. If you’re making $100k, put it on the glass. Otherwise, its all BS

And im wondering if it’s because they think i plan on living in NY and work in NC 😂. I don’t have a NC address. I just want to land a job or have it lined up before going. I applied to Gordon Foods Chain Account as well. Waiting on their Response
@@splvsh5867 i just moved here. 2 weeks ago. I didn’t apply yet to food service. I applied for Dollar General. No word back yet. Im scheduled to go otr with prime in sept. But if i get something local before then ill do that instead.
Beer delivery was tough. Did 7 months of it. It will break your body. If you’re thinking of beverage do soda. Ask yourself, can you deal with moving 150lbs 1/2 sized kegs down/up stairs? Can you deal with down stacking and merchandising 500-800 cases of beer that weigh 10-30lbs each? I’m talking everyday. Mon-Friday. If you can, then good luck.
Beer delivery was the toughest job I’ve ever done. I only lasted 4 months lol. Not to mention the pay was terrible. I was working 60+hrs a week. Definitely don’t miss it.
I personally drive for a Miller/Coors distributor. I can confirm it is a very hard and exhausting job. Miller is one of the most sold beers and the amount of cases/kegs we delivery can be overwhelming. On an average day we deliver well over 1k cases of beer which is mostly by hand. I’ve been here for about 10 months now and am definitely looking to get away from it. Hoping to land another driving job soon.
Yeah, any delivery job, especially food, where you're handling hundreds of items per 1 stop, times 15-20 stops, is gonna be hard on you. I worked for Reddy Ice for several months as a temp, with a helper, it tooked a toll on my fingertips, even though I wore gloves.
On the GFS Facebook careers page they posted the hiring of their first 18 year old driver last year so YES. I haven’t watched this video in a while so I’m not sure of what companies are in there but Coke also hires 18 year old drivers. There are more companies out there, you just have to do the research.
Is there a paid training company I'm Florida so I can earn some money while training for my CDL class A license. I can't afford to not earn in the process I have no back up to take that kind of time to achieve my CDL. I am highly determined and losing time. I'm 52 and in desperate need of a career change. I've been an air-conditioning tech since 1991 and I just can't. Do attic work any longer yet I'm unable to take 2 months off from earning money to pay my bills. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Bless you and your family and keep up the great work you do.
This is gonna be hard. You'll be starting at the very bottom in the trucking industry. Your beginning pay in the first 2 yrs will NOT be equal to your pay as a HVAC. Pretty much every company wants 2 yrs exp as a minimum, with some exception here n there. If you're single, then OTR is no problem for you. If you have kids, wife, etc., then you want to be local. Maybe trash hauling or cement driver. LTL have local routes as well, like Estes, R+L, autozone, chik fil a, old dominion. But these jobs require making multiple stops, like 15-20 stops a day, unload to liftgate, then deliver to customer. If you can't handle that, then stick to any jobs where you DO NOT touch the freight at all, like OTR, containers, postal mail (light handling).
Whats up my man i been watching you for a minute now. I would like to know your input on a company based out of long Island new york name of the company dicarlo food service its component pay they pay to start 265 a day for training after that fall into the component pay which they pay 38 cents per case and 40 cents a mile they also 9 dollars. Per stop i believe and also if you deliver throughout the tri-state area which is the five boroughs so I just want to know your input on it if it's worth me going there or not supposed to be starting on Monday the 21st
If you live in a big city in Florida, you have a much better chance of finding a good paying trucking job. In regards to your second question, of course! Florida is a beautiful state to live in with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. However, there are cities with higher crime rates than others in the state so it’s definitely important to do your research prior to potentially moving to the state.
Those are for Graduates. What about people that have their license for a while and still can’t get a job within any of those companies. Even if they got the refresher? What companies should I look at then?
Man, if you’re going to go touch freight I would suggest going the food service route. You will make more money. However, if you’re trying to stay local & this is your first trucking job..go for it. There are some no touch freight job opportunities out there as well so it just depends on what you’re looking for. Good luck bro.
It varies depends on the product & how many products are stack on top of each other. As a food delivery or LTL delivery, you should be able to push/pull at least 150-200 lbs. If you can't, do mail delivery, OTR, intermodal, or anything where you DON'T touch the freight at all.
Thanks for making this request for me and the shout-out, Anthony! I have applied with over 10+ companies and I'll add the ones you mentioned if they are available in my area! I appreciate you very much!

Maybe still hauling to Aldi in other states, but in Georgia, they stop coming to the Jefferson terminal back in late 2022.
thank you for your vids !!!!
Does Performance FS really take new graduates? Their indeed ads have 1 year on them. They are having hiring event near me soon.
It depends on location with PFG regarding experience. I’ve seen no experience required in some locations. I’ve also seen 6 months to 1yr.
Orlando FL ?
I know Gordon's has some good hotdogs😊
Freymiller hire recent grad they have 6-8 week training program
I recently got my cdl class b license and now I’m trying to find a trucking job. I currently work at a public bus company but trucking is what I want for me.
Get uh A duh lol
Worked for GFS in Houston as my first cdl job, I got burnt out pretty quick and only lasted 4 months pay was extremely well and atmosphere was cool. Mclane is my current job, pay isnt the best but the workload is manageable and atmosphere is cool as well. Been here for a year
I'm in Houston as well. I'm currently working on my cdl. Who did you go thru to get yours? I'm thinking of 160 academy.
@@l.t.1energy522yooo what’s up I’m go to Steven’s next month
Thanks for the info man
Schneider sucks they will micromanage you 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year i would have went with Warner enterprises as number 10
PFG is a terrible company with a terrible training program and even worse management! They will micromanage you and over work you by giving you impossible routes that CAN NOT be ran legally! Former employee.. steer clear!
In my particular market, I’m with miller Coors and we work way less hours than the other beer distributors in my area.
Man I’m having a hard time getting in any of those companies just recently got my class A but I’m getting passed right up 😂
Having a lot of trouble finding a local job I’m in CT Pfg wants 12 months mclane not jobs even pop up Gordon is the same I have all the endorsements just graduated this past Sunday
These people aren’t hiring Florida drivers and it’s crazy
Nope! I’m in Daytona and no one will take me yet so I’m going to try a few local places.
Jobs could be fake too. It's for their internal statistics so they look good. Kinda like Wells Fargo making multiple fake accounts without the customer's consent or knowledge.
@@theartistcherrypi6454did u find anything?
@@horrorsnipes5680 No, Florida sucks! Most companies I’ve talked to don’t hire out of my zip code.
Any companies to hire grads in SOCAL for local/regional? LA OR SAN DIEGO
Sorry, but its not possible for someone fresh out of CDL school with ZERO driving experience to make $100k first year. That’s a lie. The BEST carriers require 2 years experience before they’ll even consider you.
A new driver out of school can easily make between 70-100k in food service. That’s EASY! You need to ask around and do more research buddy.
Ok bro, if you’re making $100k at Gordon, then show us. Put 3 consecutive pay statements on the glass. Block out anything personal, but prove it.
What Sysco wasn’t #2 cmon now 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂 good video bro
I appreciate it bro 😂🤷🏾♂️
Im looking to get my CDL in June and ive heard good things about Heartland Express and they have a terminal close to home, can anyone give me any info working for them or if they're a good choice. Im looking to do regional but im open to OTR.
Bro you in my state love the videos I just got my license had it bout a month tried OTR it ain’t for me I got my kids and they are very active with sports
Yeah, I feel you my guy. That OTR life is definitely not ideal for someone in your situation. Stay safe out there bro
What's about CDL graduate with background, what are the company that will hire
Those jobs pays but work ethic is horrible, then probably pay every 2 weeks, drove for mitchell distribution! Do research first, what! Schneider is good and jb hunt
Is there anything in South Carolina? Have CDL doing OTR now trying to find something with more home time and better pay I got 1 year and 5 months
Anything in the Bay Area California?
UNFI or PFG Gilroy or coremark Hayward or PFG or Us foods Plesenton , ca
New cdl graduate in California looking for employment.
Great video as always bro 👍
I appreciate it my guy 💯
I got my CDL class A no experience though . I live in NY I plan on moving to NC. So I’ve been applying to Sysco’s in the area prior to me coming down. And so far 3 of them turned me down. And im wondering if it’s because they think i plan on living in NY and work in NC 😂. I don’t have a NC address. I just want to land a job or have it lined up before going. I applied to Gordon Foods Chain Account as well. Waiting on their Response
How did it go?
Here in NY looking to move to NC as well
@@splvsh5867 i just moved here. 2 weeks ago. I didn’t apply yet to food service. I applied for Dollar General. No word back yet. Im scheduled to go otr with prime in sept. But if i get something local before then ill do that instead.
I agree with this list except for one. Schneider is a horrible company!
Lol that’s fair. Which mega carrier would you replace the orange company with bro?
I don’t know, I worked for Schneider and it was a bad experience so I’m biased against it.
I gotcha 👍🏾
Sounds like a lot of touch freight companies but it will keep you in shape
Just trying to make the most money . Which company would you prefer. Just got my CDL Permit . & need training ?
Can you do a video on Dollar Tree and/or Dollar general accounts ?
I’ve already did a video on DG.
What trucking company to people from New York
all those companies now Requires minimum 1 year experience
do these companies hire 18 year old graduates?
Great video
Appreciate it bro
Is Florida a good state for a trucking job and is it a nice place to live?
If you live in a big city in Florida, you have a much better chance of finding a good paying trucking job. In regards to your second question, of course! Florida is a beautiful state to live in with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. However, there are cities with higher crime rates than others in the state so it’s definitely important to do your research prior to potentially moving to the state.
No FL not good for trucking
Food service all together is trash
thanks for the tips
Surprised you didn’t mention cherney bros
it would be a nice idea to say how much they pay though.
Prime told me you need 6 months experience
Those are for Graduates. What about people that have their license for a while and still can’t get a job within any of those companies. Even if they got the refresher? What companies should I look at then?
Yoo Ant how do you feel about Dr. Pepper?
Man, if you’re going to go touch freight I would suggest going the food service route. You will make more money. However, if you’re trying to stay local & this is your first trucking job..go for it. There are some no touch freight job opportunities out there as well so it just depends on what you’re looking for. Good luck bro.
@@imanthonytv thank you I appreciate the advice but I did work for sysco in Baraboo wi it was good money but working 18 hour days is the reason I left
Oh I don’t blame you. I would’ve left too. 🤦🏾♂️
Is there something wrong with doing company sponsored training? Why is it frowned down upon? Other than the locked in contract.
What is the starting pay for Coca-Cola?
Is there anything in California Bay Area?
This guy is the king of food services 😂
Not to get in your business but what part of Florida are you in? I'm in Orlando.
Northwest FL on the Panhandle
thanks a lot for this information 🙏🏻

how many pounds do you have to lift the heaviest to push and pull to work for these companies as a driver
It varies depends on the product & how many products are stack on top of each other. As a food delivery or LTL delivery, you should be able to push/pull at least 150-200 lbs. If you can't, do mail delivery, OTR, intermodal, or anything where you DON'T touch the freight at all.
