One of my favorite handguns is a Springfield 6" Trophy Match I special ordered from their custom shop 25 years ago. They definitely know how to make some high-quality 1911s.
I’m a 1911 purist, but recognize that to remain competitive Springfield have introduced modern features like the rail and tri-top. That said, they then missed the boat by not offering an optics-ready version. They do it for the Prodigy, why not on the .45 equivalent ?
If a handgun doesn’t come with some sort of optics ready system standard, I’m not interested. I shoot way better with optics than I do without and I’m not sending my slide somewhere to get it milled. It’s too easy to include an optics cut. If you don’t want to use that feature, leave the cover on. But if you want to use the feature but don’t have it available because the manufacturer didn’t include it, it’s kind of a bummer.
@@noelnajera8859 not really, I’ve been using a holster for 1911’s with a rail from c&g holsters and it locks in perfect. I know of no dedicated holsters for this exact model, which sucks. That’s the risk when buying odd off guns like this.
@@joaopedrobaggio4475 Yeah but 1911s are far more time consuming and expensive to produce than polymer Framed striker fired pistols hence the premium for a nice one. A high quality 1911 is expensive, it's just how things are.
@@joaopedrobaggio4475 you would have had a decent point if you hadn't mentioned Glocks. Glocks are reliable, sure, but they are way overpriced for what you receive. The amount of glock clones that are superior for either the price or quality is staggering.
Yea unfortunately MSRP that I found online says almost $1400 😮 that’s sooo much for a gun man it sucks how some of the cooler new guns coming out are priced at a point where your average person isn’t going to be able to afford it.
I’ve always been an iron sight guy, but my old peepers are gravitating towards red dots now, so much easier for the eyes to pick up a target! I really think all new pistols should come optic ready/capable. But this is a very nice looking handgun and as usual a great review by Sootch00!
I will not be buying one of these. That's only because I live in Kanadistan, and our glorious leader has made handguns illegal here. 😢 Damn it, I wish I lived in a free country!

Beautiful new line, these sharp angles and the black is awesome. This 9 mm is also great. I got an old Spring from 90 s but these new are made in great style. Video perfect.
Didn't hear the word Glock once. I love WW I history, but I'd prefer a Mauser Broomhandle with a wood stock. Don't like skinny grips. Don't like grip safety or frame safeties. Love the Sootch channel 👍
I just bought the two tone last week, Its really nice! I haven't shot it yet so the will be good to see, they always work though! I will also be buying the all black with rail this month though!
Your outtakes at the end always make me chuckle. I like the Monolith look. It has a nice paint job. I've been watching the marketing on Springfield's 1911 line. I own a Garrison. The Emissary has a unique look, modernizing the classic 1911 platform. The whole package would be complete with an Optic cut similar to the Echelon. That would move me for a purchase. I have a couple of Bull Barrels and several with full length guide rods. I find in the reassembly to seat the spring plug as you did and leave it. Then reassemble the slide and slide stop. This places no tension on the slide stop insertion helping to prevent the "Ididot Scratch". Then simply lock the slide back and the paperclip falls out..Done. I may have missed it. Did you talk about any holsters? Some may definitely want to carry this.

Sootch, this new Emissary you just reviewed in 45 or P220 Legion in 45? What do you think? MSRP about the same. Anybody have a comment on this to help me out?? Thank you
Imagine a design 113 years old STILL going strong!! 1911 sexiest pistol ever made
It’s no Hi Power.

Lol yall tripping nothing looks better THAN A 1911 IN 45... AND 10MM SPRINGFIELDS
@@terryburton971 If you’re going to step it up to a .45 sized frame, might as well increase the power to 10mm. I love 1911’s, but fck Springfield.

Absolutely beautiful handgun and I haven't ever owned a 1911 and the Emissary is perfect looking one to have.
Love my Springfields! I own a few of their 1911s. All quality, and the customer support has been stellar.
Perfect platform for 10mm . Come on Springfield let's do it !
😂tudo de bom 👍

So you can purchase it twice

Springfield must have heard you. They came out with an AOS-equipped version that allows you to choose what optic you want now. I just ordered mine
There is an optic version 1911 Emissary 4.25″ AOS .45 ACP
I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and love it. 600 rounds and no failures yet
I just got mine yesterday. Know of any holsters for it?

I like that squar guard and full dust cover 😊
What a beautiful 1911!
But looks very expensive.
@joaopedrobaggio4475 $1300 ish msrp pretty normal for a high-quality 1911

Just found one on Gunbroker for $969 plus tax
You get what you pay for. This is a gorgeous firearm. I think if it was priced higher, it would still sell.
Great review! Beautiful 1911 !
Thanks Hettro!
Gosh, what’s not to like about that! I love the commander size and all black is really beautiful!
Great review of the SA Emissary. It is one slick looking 1911.

The Commander is a great-looking firearm!
Brilliant stuff. Love 1911s!!!
Best gun reviews on YT 👍👍

Sootch has the pace and intensity to near perfection. Other gun videos can kind of drag . Also great close up shots of the firearms.
Dang it I just payed off my credit card 😂

Awesome video nice Springfield armory 1911 45 acp thanks for sharing sootch00
Greetings Sir. Excellent for the class. From Brazil. Military Veteran. Special Forces. And Police. Lawyer with 9 Postgraduate degrees.
Coolest 1911 I've seen in a while.
Very nice I just wish the full-size model rail went all the way up like this one does.
Awesome looking fire arm, definitely going to try and grab one
that black out is awesome!
Damn! I’m trying to save up for that
MARLIN MODEL 1895 (DARK SERIES)
Now this Beauty!😂
The design is cool
I like the Garrison the most. Not available in California of course.
Thank you for your awesome review. I am looking for a new CCW, and you sold me on this.
Beautiful, still I prefer the the Bul Armory Commander better. For 2/3 of the price
1/2 as good for 2/3 the price
Take the rail of the frame and polish it with 3000 then 5000 grit sandpaper, wet sand. The slide will literally float.
Nobody does production 1911s like Springfield,
My first 45 was a Colt Series 70 in 1978. It kept jamming so many different ways, I got rid of it within a month. QC must've improved.
Might as well get the one with the AOS plate cut.
Welp now I have 21 guns in my top 5 most wanted
Beautiful gun !
Very Nice , Great looking Pistol ! 👍
I just bought the 9mm version great looking gun has a feeding issue though

Scotch!!! My credit card. Well back in the dog house. Remember Sweetheart for better and for worst, ok!
I thought the two-tone was sexy but all black looks even better
As usual great review 👍
Thanks Chris!
I just want another run of the Springfield Armory Custom Shop Professional models in 9mm. Rail or no rail, I don't care. I'll buy either, or both!
Man I love a full rail, but man we have to do something about those grips.
Like the bright version. No reason they couldn’t have extended the frame on that one.
Seems to me that it should've been introduced in 10mm like most of the hard-core 1911 owners are saying they'd love to see more of nowadays.
They need to make a 5in model full rail.
Great job I think I’ll go get one 👍👍
Nice
I really prefer this color for this pistol.
I do need a commander size to go with my 5 inch Dan Wesson Specialist
Good looking gun
I wanted the original, but now, I think I want the blacked out version.
Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
I'd like to compare it's accuracy to my Tanfoglia 1911 45 acp. I carry it more than my 1911 9 mm.
Went with the DC/AC intro.
Sootch, this new Emissary you just reviewed in 45 or P220 Legion in 45? What do you think? MSRP about the same.

Thought the grip panels were finally considered as the esthetic plunder they are, but people still use them.
Do they make a barrel a little shorter that would help with concealed carry?
Ilove bull barrel 1911 this my next to buy 1911..
I bet it would look great with a supressor
1911 in .45 ACP
Still The King 🇺🇸
Damn I just purchased the ronin 5 inch then a week later they come out with this 🤦🏻♂️
Its first 1911 that I like visualy. Hands down but I will hold to my High Power 😊
I like the Emissary except the plastic trigger for that price.
Do they take Wilson Combat 10rd mags?
Nice looking range toy.
Will the emissary fit in the 4.25" holsters even with that full rail?
Nice. It looks like a Korth .45
We're can I get one they hard to find
Good looking pistol
TRP vs Emissary? Which one is better
Trying to decide which gun feels more comfortable as a potential new gun owner. The 1911 45 seemed the easiest and most accurate for me.
Gee sootch thanks for getting me in trouble again buying another Springfield. Lol
You sold me scooch. If it only had an ambi safety.
Weeeeeee guns 🔫 💪 🇺🇲
Anyone know of any holsters for this?
I love Springfields all i own but i do have one kimber lol 1911s
nice video where is this made?
Thx for the info 👍 ☕🗽🎯 carry on 🔫🇺🇲
For that amount of money they need to make it optics ready.
that’s nice looking gun
Still polymer trigger? If so not a fan
it is, and normally I would say the same thing, but have an open mind!! Does the trigger REALLY need to be metal? Its not going to break!
Beautiful 1911 UNFORTUNATELY, (as usual) it still only offers 8 rounds at a time.😉
Is that considered grenade pattern or pineapple pattern 🤔
