I've owned 3 in my life. A 1911 from World War One. Sold to a collector, it now is on display in his collection in a specially designed , display case at 5% humidity. A Mark 4 series 70, sold when money was tight. And now a Rock Island Armory. I love my RIA. It's a clone of a WWII model. It will work even covered in mud or sand. I'll never sell it, it will be passed along to my son when I die.
I have 3 different makes and models of 1911s. 1st I have a Sig Sauer Compact 1911, a Ruger SR 1911 Comander and a COLT MK IV 80 series. Love the 45 ACP, have loved them since I qualified with a 1911 while in the service
I noticed you said the Nighthawk Envoy had a 10 round 45 acp magazine. I just went to the Nighthawk Customs website and they only show the standard 7&8 round 45 acp magazines. You sure you didn't have that confused with the 9mm version?
Can a 1911 .45acp be V ported to reduce recoil? Placing of the ports may require precision for barrel slide coordination, where it’d seem possible. Anyone know?
0:13 sec. Wer sich Dort eine geladene Waffe hinsteckt der hängt nicht sehr an seinen Eiern . 0:13 sec. Anyone who puts a loaded weapon there isn't very attached to their balls. 🤣🤣🤣

The pistol’s name is 1911 because that’s the year it was put into active service when John Browning designed it when he worked at Colt firearms.
And WW 1
