I remember discovering Ivo thanks to this audition, i find him so amazing and skilled, the mainstream talent shows are not for him 'cause he's simply over them! I started listening to his music and i'm now a big fan of him, we need more artists like him in this world, he truly is one

Yes! The booing caught me of guard, had to rewind to listen to when they started. I don't get it, he's quite unique, and compared to some contestants this year, he's even better in staying on pitch. It's also very creative. I genuinely loved it, although I don't know why exactly.
this is not weird...this is art he share his heart and thoughts...it was really nice...the audience was accustomed to hearing modern and rap song...its like a stage play....I really like it...

Better staying on pitch compared to some other singers I said . Don't twist my words. ;) + check his youtubechannel out. It's all an act, he earns a living by performing. His live recordings of his shows are way better. Probabaly was getting payed to come on the show even, to bring some flavor.
If someone like Sia would have sung the same song, people would like it. I personally feel that this song could definitely be in a movie, either the credit scene or somewhere in :D
id agree that his lows are very good, he has a competent training, sounds like theater. however you can overdo artistic and weirdness. that was a bit to much. having a yougn boy in a schooluniform like dress passed out in your lap dont help much. and his wierd high pitched noises where anything but singing. if he straighten it out a bit, less is sometimes more in this case a lot more

Léa Solex look, everyone has different types of art. Do I agree that they should’ve been booing? Nah. It’s just not wha they like. And I don’t want anyone to respond to me saying anything about Louis. Louis’ voice is different. His music is different. He is different. He isn’t the typical “oh I’m so quirky” celebrity but somehow quirky. Don’t ask how. I don’t know. He can appreciate stuff that’s different. It’s just not his style. Now Simon? Thé X factor is a simple, boring show which only cares for boring people with sad stories to come and hit some high notes. They haven’t seen talent like this and the stale audience hated it because they hate that they can’t understand this. I’m sorry but this was beautiful, mesmerising and amazing. Anyone who disagrees is stale. The choreography I agree was bizarre but the whole oddity of it became a stunning contemporary and conceptual masterpiece.
I mean I agree everyone has their own opinions. But Louis definitely didn’t turn it down just because he was different for sure. Louis barely ever got to sing anything in 1d because of the reason that his voice was different, after 1d he was able to embrace his voice for what it is. I think it’s cool! I’m just saying Louis definitely didn’t turn it down for the single reason that it was different, he jus tries to have it in him to be rude considering he was in the exact same position. Again, I think it’s cool. But everyone has different likes and interpretations of art
This is probably the best thing this show has ever seen. Maybe people don't like him because the majority of the public is simple minded and this is the purpose of the show too, to create entertainment, not real art. But he is awesome, with an enormous talent, I've seen his shows and I'm sure that one of the reasons that he is there is to experiment and see if someone from a very commercial show can understand something at all
If this were AGT--I'd say ok--and act is good there, but this is geared for a singing star search. Not a good fit here at all. But It was interesting and very good.
He definitely has the singing talent. Check out his channel, spotify, etc. Very beautiful voice and music. I hope he does some songs that he has featured on there.

I agree and if you listen to his other songs on u tube, some are really masterpieces. I also love how this little girl in the audience is completely getting it, unlike most audience members. Looking at his other videos on u tube, I only think he turns out better without the choreography though.
His voice can do so much! His theatrics were also entertaining, this was a good performance. Its something freddie mercury would have really appreciated

The audience didn't understand your musical genius but should a pristine waterfall care about what the trees in the forest below think? Your voice is so hauntingly beautiful, one in a billion. I love your melodies and unorthodox chord changes. Those who yearn for genuine talent and sincerity in art will love you forever. You are so humble and sweet. Always be true to yourself as a musician and continue to share your gifts with the world
I don't know why, but i'm obsessed with this audition. Can't stop watching it, it's crazy, in a good way. Love the little girl at 3:26, how she cheer for Ivo, even at that age, she understands art.
Me! I looked him up, because it looked like he wanted to get a message across through his act. He performed in my country (and in many others as well) as a physical 'theatre' artist with his choreography. He's into other forms of art as well. I don't think he got far in the competition, seeing how he performs all over the world the next couple of months. Although, don't know when bootcamp took place.
It was performance art. He's quirky and offbeat. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but that's what makes him interesting and real. It'd be interesting to see what else he could do.
I'll be honest,his singing was less to be desired.I did like his lower register,though.Also,I liked the fact that he was from another country which might've played a part in Simon's decision to allow him to go through.Simon welcomes singers from other places to audition,however not many make it to the live shows.
Came here from a "worst and funniest auditions" video because I'm mesmerized by this guy. This was artistic and hypnotizing to no end, it's a pity people are too close-minded to appreciate what they don't really understand

He actually can sing, specially the deep notes were very nice. I hope he shows us other side next time. It was very interesting though! Edit: Just watched many videos of him on youtube. This man is amazing! He is very talented and artistic. I hope he goes far in the competition, but maybe many ppl won't understand his art.
X factor is a very mainstream show. Most of the people in the audience are fairly shallow in how they understand and see art and entertainment. They want a blonde girl or a generic boy band to sing generic pop songs in a generic fashion. A hypie with a guitar hitting average notes with an average sound and an average voice. Ivo is incredibly creative and his flow, energy, choice of chords, register and harmony are criminally underrated and extremely endearing. He's got style, vision, and something a bit different to offer the world. I like it.
I love it!!! Very sweet. Artistic, daring, balls on!! Well done Ivo and the dancers for doing this and getting to the end through the undeserved heckling of the audience. Thanks for giving us something different and out of the usual boring box. Well done to the 3 judges for putting Ivo through... we need more of Ivo!!! :))
I really like the Simon and Robbie judge combination, they really know what it's about.. That young judge dude with the lame haircut is just doing what any normal person could do... This audition was really worthy of the most prestigious crowds

None of the judges liked it....the gal almost choked to death on her yes...but they put him through for “entertainment.” There is no way Simon intends to ever sign this guy. It’s pretty sad. Louis was the only honest one. Some of you ppl are so lead by the nose.
Nature's Wild even so, good can mean a lot of things to other people. Some might find it bad and some might find it good. Its wasnt the greatest performance but for whats it worth, it wasnt bad either/
I loved watching this and have looked up some of his other performances. Truly amazing. Such a beautiful voice....reminds me of Anthony and the Johnson's.

Edit: Just watched many videos of him on youtube. This man is amazing! He is very talented and artistic. I hope he goes far in the competition, but maybe many ppl won't understand his art.

X factor is a very mainstream show. Most of the people in the audience are fairly shallow in how they understand and see art and entertainment. They want a blonde girl or a generic boy band to sing generic pop songs in a generic fashion. A hypie with a guitar hitting average notes with an average sound and an average voice. Ivo is incredibly creative and his flow, energy, choice of chords, register and harmony are criminally underrated and extremely endearing. He's got style, vision, and something a bit different to offer the world. I like it.

None of the judges liked it....the gal almost choked to death on her yes...but they put him through for “entertainment.” There is no way Simon intends to ever sign this guy. It’s pretty sad. Louis was the only honest one. Some of you ppl are so lead by the nose.
Nature's Wild even so, good can mean a lot of things to other people. Some might find it bad and some might find it good. Its wasnt the greatest performance but for whats it worth, it wasnt bad either/
