I like how Doyle didn’t kick up drama in his answers about ex band members and experiences. He gave simple answers and didn’t exaggerate or glorify anything.

The bassist from Bloodhound Gang IS HUGE! I was at a show in Detroit and if I remember correctly they opened for Goldfinger I THINK, then some asshole punched a girl in the pit and the bassists stopped the show climbed down off stage, grabbed this guy by his throat or shirt ONE HANDED, ripped him over the barricade and threw his ass to security. I remember thinkin, "Fuck, that dudes HUGE!" Plus he's gotta be 6'4" or possibly taller. I met him at another show and he was really nice, but he was psycho on that guy who hit the girl.

Doyle is such a down to earth dude. He's just an Italian-American dude from Jersey...who just happened to play in one of the most influential bands of all-time. DOYLE RULES!
I mean mcr have been heavily influenced by the misfits and both bands are from jersey and most have Italian American decent
However both bands are great imo, I love the hardcore horror from the misfits and the operatic aspect of mcr

Aww, he's soft spoken (not like shy, but quiet/not loud and obnoxious) and very humble. I freaking adore that. He's very honest and doesn't try or have to act like he's better than everyone else.

Saw Doyle live with my brother and his girlfriend at her first metal
show, at the Hawthorne Theatre in downtown Portland. All three of us
were just beaming like idiots up at him from the front row, it was
glorious, like seeing Santa Claus in person. Every now and the he'd make
eye contact with one of us, and it was clear that he was having a hard
time not cracking up at the looks on our faces. I can't wait to see him
again. A LEGEND! We wanted to try and go meet him out back after the
show, but we didn't see anyone and I didn't want to be that guy.

I met him and jerry back in 97 without all the makeup and clothes. It was before a show. They were out and about looking for a bite to eat and I recognized them. Funny.. because nobody else did. I walked behind them and said hey Jerry and he turned around. We shot the shit for a few and I recommend a burger place just down the block. They asked if we were going to the show. I told him we were and they said see ya later. We met up after the show and hung out in the 21 section of the venue. Great night. Very nice guys!

Fun fact: I saw Doyle live this year in Dublin! Me and my friend stayed after to help Doyle’s guitar tech bring his guitars and cases downstairs and when I get to the bottom of the stairs I see Doyle walk out of the shower in nothing but a towel! Will never forget that

I would say 20min to 30min doing the make up. And the hair you just put behind your ears duh, or with a clip..

His bro Jerry on the other hand has a super outgoing & colorful personality. Most people ain't like though. That includes musicians. Doyle is a man who still works a regular job during the year at his shop in Jersey(he's a machinist) & then takes time off to tour with his band. He's just a regular dude who has quite am irregular night job🙂

One time walking down the street to work, I literally bumped into Doyle, he was working out outside of the venue next to my work and almost knocked me down, but was so polite and made sure I was okay- I didn’t realize they were playing that night and it was really amusing (I’m a 5’2 petite female and he is a giant of a man). He made sure I got in to see the show when I got off work 😎

@Texan White Panther Its his own band named Doyle with their own songs, although they have covered misfits songs during live shows. The singer is Alex story, who is from the band Cancerslug they are pretty good too. They have two albums out. Technically they have 3, but the first album is when they were under a different name called Gorgeous Frankenstein
*I met these guys back in the 90s. It was phenomenal. They are so incredibly humble. They got off the tour bus, my friends and I were at the back of the crowd outside, waiting to go inside. I turn around and BAM!! My friends and I and The Misfots ended up, lowkey, hanging out and chatting for a bit. Then we got photos with them. No one else in the crowd noticed. LoL!!!*

Buddy of mine plays guitar for his solo project, he and his friends grew up playing misfits songs. Some dreams do come true
He looks like such a down to earth guy. I love that when such inspirational people are down with the rest of us instead of being like Axl Rose or Sebastian Bach thinking they are the missing link
I saw him a few years back when I was working at a venue during an Arch Enemy show. Didn't even recognise him at first without the hair and makeup. I remember thinking who's that buff guy sitting over there with Alissa and then it hit me it was Doyle.

I've never seen an interview with Doyle before and I love his smile and sense of humor! Back in the mid 90s, I saw members of the misfits and the Ramones play together which was FUCKING AWESOME, and after the show, I spotted Doyle just hanging out watching another band play, and I ran up to him, threw my arms around him and said I LOVE YOU!!!! He was so freaking tall, I came up to about his chest and I'm pretty tall for a woman at 5 foot 8 inches. It was probably the most punk rock moment of my life!

Old thread but Doyle and Danzig regularly tour together and do a Misfits set. They've also done full reunion shows with the original line up a few times but they're rare and like two gigs one in NY one in LA or whatever.
