I have a 12yr old boy who is fascinated by my stories of growing up in the 70's. He says he wishes he was born then. Soooooo his first concert will be an all ages in DETROIT at the Fillmore next month! He'll get an updated twist on 70's Stadium Rock!
This young kid's voice is AWESOME !! Never did I expect to hear anything like this again in my lifetime as far as vocalists go. As a self-confessed Zeppelin freak and Guitarist of 34 years myself...this band gives me some hope. I hope to hear them grow as writers and performers. I think they can really develop and mature over the next couple of albums and infuse their "own thing" even more in with the Zeppelin influence. Will be interesting to hear their music in the near future. Man, I hope these guys stick around for a while. Also, their management needs to protect this young kid's voice so he doesn't damage his larynx and lose his range. Gotta make sure he has some longevity.

All those knocking the Zep/Plant comparisons need to chill, there for worse influences and your right that in time they will establish their sound. With a set of pipes like that young kid has though, comparisons are always gonna be there. Bravo little dudes

I like these guys, I hope this inspires others to pick up instruments and again like the all or nothing days and start expressing themselves through music and songs.
BTW, as another "Old Guy" like me stated..."The Struts" are fantastic as well !! They've also given me some hope.. And a huge shout out to "Rival Sons"...kick ass Rock band !!
I was in Lawrence for college when they performed here but didn’t go because I had no clue who they were and now one year later I’m kicking myself because they’re one of my favorite bands now and I’ll never get the chance to see them in a small venue setting again
So far my fav GVF vid, I cant wait to see these guys live. Surely this band should influence kids to pick up an instrument and jam instead of playing a computer. Keep rocking GVF we've been waiting for you.

And to the guy who said that this band is not as good as Zeppelin was when they first came out....remember that Jimmy Page was 24 years old...going on 25...when they came out in late 1968. The Guitarist for Greta Van Fleet is only 21 years old. How much better of a player would he be if he had 4 more years of playing under his belt before coming out with his first album. And the Bass player is 18 years old...and he doubles on Keyboards as well. The 2 main players here...Guitar and Bass...are 3-4 years younger than Page & Jones when they came out. So maybe cut these guys some slack here. For being that much younger than the Zep players when they came out...I think their first album is pretty damn good !! As good as Zeppelin's first album...no...but look how much younger they are...
However close to Led Zep they sound, I think they are fantastic We will never see the real Led Zeppelin again, but this is damn near it, originals and all! Cannot get enough of this band!

The howl he gives at the start of the song hits me deep. Right at the funny bone that was tickled by Zep, Deep Purple, Cream, AC/DC. They don't imitate it. This is a particular discipline of music - blues rock - and they get it.
Made late in the 50ies, i like the 70ies music soooo much.. 80ies sucks, 90ies sucks, 00 sucks, and now?(Ok - Soundgarden was a shining star in these years, but otherwise? i don´t know....Now we have 2018 and i´ve been finally deep back in the 70ies. Thanks "Greta van Fleet", Thanks "The Weight", Thanks "De Wolff", "Blues Pills" and so on! THANKS THANKS THANKS! - I´am finally endless happy again! What a great life!
Robert Michael Oswald 80s and 90s were badass, early 2000s were ok. But Metallica, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and many more are great
so happy with these guys. Makes me feel young again. Let's just hope that they don't get bogged down with the trappings of their predicessors. Like drugs!
Great Band...Yes, potpourri of sounds. No one mentioned a touch of Frank Zappa every once in a while. There a young band and will be turning out lots of great music over the years to come.

Great band! I'd like to see their singer go his own way more than sounding so much like Plant. It's clear that his voice is so very similar.....It's just not gonna take them too far to purposely sound like Zeppelin.

Their sound is ripped from Zeppelin, but their musicianship is very poor in comparison. Just a cheap copy.
