  • Ridgid has entered the track saw game. If you know anything about my work, you know I LOVE track saws. They are such great additions to anyone shop, no matter the skill level.
I'll dive into the saw, show off some of its features and how it performs right out of the box. Full tool review.
Ridgid has made a tool that can compete with the best of them. Check out how it performs in the key areas of straight cuts, square cuts and ease of use.

Great review! I'll have to pick mine up when it's available!

It’s a great saw. But! It has a proprietary guide. That’s fine and all but trying to find accessories like right angle squares or repeatable guides will be a long time coming.

It comes with 2 small tracks that equate to a full 49” so breaking down plywood is nice. And it comes with one clamp. So that’s also nice

My work just bought a rigid mitre saw and boy is it smooth.. not sure if it's a brushless motor? But good to see them doing a track saw. Let's go rigid

The blade is still on the right. Not good for right handed users.

Why is that? I do not see a problem. My Festool TS 55 is on the right, this is not a problem. In fact, it is probably ideal. Besides, it is a track saw. You are going to be walking beside it, I do not get the problem - what is it? Good looking saw, if I was still building out a ridgid collection, I would get it.

I don’t see an issue with that as a right handed user. Never even occurred to me

As a lefty I like having the blade on the right side lol us lefthanded people learn to adapt as most tools are made for righties, so learn to use your other hand. God gave you 2 not 1
