Wrong, it is horrible for the price since you can get saws like Makita for similar money, which don't require special tracks but ride on standard ones.
If you're looking for features and top-notch performance, there's no comparison, the Milwaukee is better. If you're a RIDGID fan and budget is an issue, then buy the RIDGID. Thanks for watching.
thanks for the news on the Milwaukee clamps working w/ridgid track. I'm not too fond of the little clamp that came with the ridgid and you need more than just the 1 clamp.
This is the OmniWall metal pegboard and we love it. th-cam.com/video/ot-YA1Q87X8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aONB5EBO9_M8Cshd th-cam.com/video/0fbM5Fs6Bfw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jGhgezgFGxHjbMWY
Drywall is never flat and drywall corners are never square. It’s helpful to be able to undercut an edge, either to have less material to sand when installing a countertop, or to make two panels meet properly at a corner. The latter is probably not particularly likely to come up often in residential construction, but is common in commercial work.
This appears to be a very well made saw, but I am thinking it might face fierce competition between the Milwaukee at the same price, and the Makita for a little more cash.
I don't think that would make a difference. It wasn't due to voltage drop. It was over-amping and overheated the battery, due to it having a hard time eating through the wood. Therefore, we think a better blade would make all things better.
You're right about the ah rating, but the 8ah battery has 21700 cells so it should be able to pull higher continuous amps before overheating. @@jacquesdespadas
I was impressed with it for the price / performance. Good value saw for sure.
It’s the small step down from its bigger brother Milwaukee track saw…lol! Did enjoy the reviews of them!
I watched your video. I very much agree with you that the RIDGID is so much better than the RYOBI.

Thx for all the details in your review it is the best review on this saw imo
My only hope was to see the 8ah 21700 cells battery on the hard wood vs another ridgid battery
Very good review, lots of details with this track saw. I’m in the fence whether to buy this one or Milwaukee track saw.

I like a lot how you organize all your tools on the back of the video. May you provide the link to buy those black panels ? Thanks in advance!!!

I like everything I see so far, with the exception of the Allan key Arbor, not a big deal but it could be an alan with a 5/8.
Great saw, u should be making 2 passes on 2 inch wood
Thanks for the video
When would anyone need to make a -1° cut? What is that feature good for?

@@jacquesdespadas As a diesel tech, didn't know. Thank you for that. 👍
Awesome detail video !! I just subscribed! What do you thing about the Dewalt Track Saw 60V MODEL: DCS520ST1 vs this new Ridgid 18V?
We have not reviewed the DeWalt 60V track saw yet.
Ohh Thanks for reply back !!

Milwaukee is almost double the price
What about the 8Ah ?
Wonder if the 8ah battery would breeze through the purple heart

The tool is only going to draw so much power. The battery’s Ah rating only changes the run time.

Was the cut in the purple heart square?
It was very square; however, that wouldn't have been a fair test anyway, because the top surface had not been flattened yet. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review...I confirm the stock Ridgid blades are not good
At $399 bare tool; that is the same cost as the Milwaukee track saw
you need to try and compare what you need the red has full power with higher rpm, it cuts faster and have cleaner cut
Also makita which doesn't need special track like this ridgid epic failure
HiKOKI/Metabo HPT is coming to the party too with a very interesting looking option too.
I got for $369 with a 6ah and 4ah special buy, a good deal imo
@@is5032 I have seen reviews, it is nothing special. Makita/Milwaukee are better
Definitely worth putting a diablo blade on there.
How is it on a budget you can get a Makita for the same price
