Karla! I'm so excited for you! The message in this video is so incredibly important for nursing students! I think it's very easy for new grads to fall into the mentality of accepting any job that's offered to them due to the lack of experience, but this is an inspiring reminder to know our worth and not settle for less! Times are different now, and nurses are more valuable than ever! We're educated and hardworking individuals that deserve to be paid and respected! You killed it, girl! And that unit is lucky to have you! 👏🏽❤️💪🏽💃🏻

I agree with you that as a nurse, you honestly do have the luxury of being picky with what job you want, especially during todays times. and sometimes your first choice may not even be the best choice. I’m only a LPN right now, but i have gotten so many job offers. I quit a VERY good paying LPN job because the hours were just too long for me and their benefits sucked. Now i work somewhere with a little less pay, but FULL PAID BENEFITS, 8 hours a day, and it’s very chill. theres always opportunity for us and I honestly feel very proud and lucky to be a nurse.

I think under 30 it would be in the lower side, and I above 30 for a new grad is good. It all depends on the state also. And yea, must hospitals offer night shift/weekends differential, mine does!
