It felt like a Scooby Doo episode pretty much a murder mystery just leveled up and final reveal with Hank Pym being the one responsible for killing each member due to the loss of his daughter Hope Van Dyne.
It's interesting that in every episode so far we have seen Cap's shield. The shield is also the thing that lets us know the episodes are not connected.
Well, episode 1 with 2 could be connected, with shield lost in space becouse the fight of cap with the octopus monster, and then the colectionist found it.
She sounded not even close to scarlet Johansson. I thought she did an awful impression of scar jo. Scar Jo has such a distinct voice and you could easily tell if someone is doing her impression but the woman who voiced here didn't even come close.
I actually really liked Loki in this episode. In the first Thor movie, before Loki figures out that Odin lied to him, there's no evidence that Loki hated Thor or wanted him to die. I think Loki was jealous of Thor, and wanted him to suffer consequences, but he definitely didn't want him dead (thinking of it, I don't think there's a single Marvel film where Loki genuinely wants Thor to die). So Loki coming down looking for vengeance isn't only a very Loki thing to do, it's a very Asgardian thing to do. The conquest at the end is a little bonus, lol (also, re: Odin - he was still in the Odinsleep during this time. Maybe with Thor gone, Odin never wakes up and Loki becomes king of Asgard).
This Episode reminded me of Marvel Ruins, where everything that can go wrong does go wrong with the hero’s and even some of the villains. It’s SUPER DARK 🥶

Hulk died a gruesome death. The original Avengers are wiped out except for Captain America who was still popsicled which basically saved him from Hanks' wrath.
@@asiyahasoui2965 Technically Scott can kill the Avengers in the same way Hank did in this episode if he has the tech. But like he said, Scott is a nice guy
@@scorpiongurlz89 Exactly. Scott can't imagine doing things like that, Scott's just too much of an innocent guy to think about expanding Hulk until he exploded
I really enjoyed this episode because I never would have guessed who the villain was, and finally a universe where Evil Loki wins! It's really cool to see how lethal this villain could be because they don't have that type of role in the movies.
The fact that they had Loki use the cast of ancient winters, as a callback to his lineage as a Frost giant is beautiful. Showing in this reality he not only had a great relationship with Thor. But, PERHAPS also was told about his adoption, thus resulting in him taking a different approach, using the cast of ancient winters. Getting all this while keeping still getting an overall evil Loki!? Chefs. Fucking. Kiss. So many Easter eggs from great moments in MCU & comic history. Just amazing! 😭❤😭
I don't know about Hope, but I think Janet still in Quantum Realm, meaning she's very much alive. From their conversation, I conclude this. Remember Janet got trapped after she and Hank try to stop a missile. I believe both of them working for Shield at that moment so that mission was under Shield. Hank hide the cause of Janet death (not death) from Hope, but Fury told her without Hank permission. Hope joined Shield without Hank permission and probably lost her life in a mission for Shield. And Hank blame Fury and Shield for that. But we never know how Hope die. If it's the same as Janet, that mean she's not dead just trapped but if there's a body, meaning she really dead. I guess the Nexus Event for this episode is Fury decided to told Hope about her mother's death... Maybe?
The one thing I enjoy about this show is getting to see characters interact who may never have been crossed paths before. But at the same time, it does suck that none of this really matters. Yes, it's cannon to the MCU. But it's in its own isolated bubble where nothing matters.
Hank also said in antman using the particle too much makes you unstable. That is why cross became so violent. since he never stopped using it he became more aggressive.
I think darren cross just using yellow jacket for one times when fighting scott lang in the first movie... how come using for once or two times makes the unstable effect? if you mean by Hank in this episode it was make sense...
@@Cwronaga216 yes... in the first film Hank already tell about it that the particle (pym version or cross version) can effect the user... (my bad) when cross was obsessive with the particles since he knew about the particle that makes him try to create his version of particle...
I actually thought Ghost was the one killing them off considering Shield/Hydra had her under their care... although maybe she was still young at this point in time... I dunno Hank probably loved killing Tony lol
I think this is the best plot of the series so far, the last time we seen Hank as Yellow Jacket was in the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Disney XD cartoon, also I see the logos on The Avengers caskets are from Avengers Assemble! cartoon as well.
@Aspen Formentera Nah. I have to disagree. Think he’s either going to court, leaving court. Coming back from the station or visiting his lawyer Matt Murdock.
We finally get the comic book yellow jacket, that was so fuckin cool, honestly I didn't expect them to actually do another version of the character, antman has been one of my favorite heroes for a long ass time and finally this episode acknowledges that he's pretty fuckin op especially when someone like Hank Pym is in the suit
Janet is dead because Hank says “she missed her mother”, insinuating Hope joined Shield because her mother did and losing her is what pushed Hank over the edge
This episode had me sitting there trying to be a sleuth like Nancy Drew for a full half hour, trying to figure out who done it haha. I was half convinced it was some kinda ghost at one point lol. This episode was a trippy ride and it made me appreciate the Avengers even more man cause like...One thing and they all coulda been gone. But like Hulk exploding...is gonna give me nightmares. All in all...great episode. Loving What if... so far. Marvel is Awesome as always.
It happened again finish a another episode what if on the train, went to the real rejects channel to check if they post their reaction and here it is, can’t wait to watch this on my lunch Break. PS- love the concept of this what if episode
I always appreciate your guys honest reactions and analyses. Especially around this show so far. I’m really enjoying the show a lot and liked this episode, but there has been something missing for me too. I actually couldn’t put my finger on it until you guys were talking about how the emotional weight we’re used to with Marvel is not landing. Thanks for the insight! That might be part of why episode two felt like the best so far, because of the magnetic presence of T’challa and of course our awareness of Chadwick Boseman’s tragic passing.
They still haven't toped the action/fight sequences of the first episode. That's the only reason why episode 1 continues to be my favorite. As an animator myself, I was so impressed by the animation during those sequences. The more I watch it the more I don't mind the pace of the story either. BUT I understand why it's everyone's least favorite.
But there is a difference between that theory and what really happened in this ep. They enlarge his heart to blow him instead of he getting large sized. I don't think blowing thanos would be that easy. Hulk got killed by his own hearts pumping of blood. I'm still confused how it actually happened ( science behind this scene). And thor was killed due because he was at the right place at right time. Otherwise killing thor was nearly impossible for hank pym. Capt marvel is also one who would be impossible to kill. Btw they all were taken out by suprise and they all were not even aware of any Danger what so ever
Tbh this could be my favorite ep yet. A big ol’ whodunit set within the glory (?) days of an alternate phase one with good pacing and unpredictable ending was just something I never thought I needed
In absolutely fairness, he took advantage of the fact that Tony wasn't fully armored, Thor was mortal, and Hulk was depowered. To see how he would do against a full power heavy hitter, watch him against Loki.

If someone had to maximum sabotage the Avengers Initiative this would be a good week to do it in.
They show Tony
Me: My day has been made!!
They kill tony a moments later
Me : oh man I cannot overcome this sorrow 😔
Tony is in a good place again
Not again
😔😝😝😆
Seeing Tony killed again is depressing. And this time he died for basically nothing.
I think this is the timeline where president Loki is from
Seriously, I thought Loki was going to say "we'll make Midgard great again": taking a obvious jab.
This is exactly what I wanted from. What if, the crazy, over the top and also dark was something I hoped this would do!
I did really enjoy this episode, thought the whole mystery element was really well done leaving an impactful reveal. Have to agree however that it felt slightly rushed at times, but still very entertaining!
Am I the only one who thought of the Ant Man and Thanos butt theory when Hulk started to explode...??😂😂😬😅..I immediately called it that it was Ant Man when that happened..although I didn't know it was Hank Pym..
Also I just noticed how they foreshadowed that it was Ant-Man when she asks, "nano-tech?" to Betty..
Also a meme that Ant-Man is there all the time but we just couldn't see him.
Hulk died a gruesome death. The original Avengers are wiped out except for Captain America who was still popsicled which basically saved him from Hanks' wrath.
@@mannylugz5872 Yeah...I saw the episode too..genius..🤡🙄
This Hank Pym would’ve beaten Thanos 😂
@@213byron nope. he would not penetrate skin to get to vein
Best episode by far. I loved the action and all the twists. I absolutely loved it
I love how this shows us ant man can take all the avengers but Scott's a nice guy
True, but Hank does have a lot more experience then Scott
@@asiyahasoui2965 Technically Scott can kill the Avengers in the same way Hank did in this episode if he has the tech. But like he said, Scott is a nice guy
@@MandoDin Hank must have a very twisted mind to think ways of killing and I doubt Scott can even imagine it.
@@scorpiongurlz89 Exactly. Scott can't imagine doing things like that, Scott's just too much of an innocent guy to think about expanding Hulk until he exploded
5:10 "The antidote didn't even make it out of the syringe!"
*Maao~!*
Kitty is shocked!
I really enjoyed this episode because I never would have guessed who the villain was, and finally a universe where Evil Loki wins!
It's really cool to see how lethal this villain could be because they don't have that type of role in the movies.
Evil Loki? Who says he is evil?
"What's with the goth kid?" Was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
The fact that they had Loki use the cast of ancient winters, as a callback to his lineage as a Frost giant is beautiful. Showing in this reality he not only had a great relationship with Thor. But, PERHAPS also was told about his adoption, thus resulting in him taking a different approach, using the cast of ancient winters. Getting all this while keeping still getting an overall evil Loki!? Chefs. Fucking. Kiss.
So many Easter eggs from great moments in MCU & comic history. Just amazing! 😭❤😭
I don't think that Loki is evil in this universe.
I lost my mind when I saw they were in manassas, Virginia, it’s where I live and I grew up going to that library
PLOT TWIST: Loki's plan all-along was to crack open the multiverse just so he could win in this timeline.
Janet and Hope are both dead. Hank mentioned how SHIELD did what the did to Janet to Hope as well and that SHIELD took everything from him.
Greg's face 8:08 I lost it 😂😂😂 and yes HULK-XPLOSION that was a good one.
Loki stole the spotlight in this episode.
Like he always did. 😉
@@Stephanie-es7wv Amen. Like he always does.
Hank also said in antman using the particle too much makes you unstable. That is why cross became so violent. since he never stopped using it he became more aggressive.
very good point
I think darren cross just using yellow jacket for one times when fighting scott lang in the first movie... how come using for once or two times makes the unstable effect? if you mean by Hank in this episode it was make sense...
@@indianajoned cross was testing the suit and using the particle constantly leading to this violence. They try to tell him this in the first ant-man.
@@Cwronaga216 yes... in the first film Hank already tell about it that the particle (pym version or cross version) can effect the user... (my bad) when cross was obsessive with the particles since he knew about the particle that makes him try to create his version of particle...
Man I really didn't hope of seeing all Avengers dying and Hank Pym being a bad guy😲
Hope huh?
😲😝😝😝😆
This episode broke my mind.
I actually thought Ghost was the one killing them off considering Shield/Hydra had her under their care... although maybe she was still young at this point in time... I dunno
Hank probably loved killing Tony lol
I too had that thought for a second
I thought it was Ghost too!
Honestly my favorite episode so far it changes the future of that universe forever!
Stream was amazing yesterday guys so happy for your success lately, much deserved
Thank you!!
This is definitely my favorite episode so far and holy s*** this got dark real.quick
I think this is the best plot of the series so far, the last time we seen Hank as Yellow Jacket was in the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Disney XD cartoon, also I see the logos on The Avengers caskets are from Avengers Assemble! cartoon as well.
Man of Action's Avengers
The fact that Ant-Man could just Batman every Avengers is REALLY SCARY
Loved it... Especially when Loki (as Fury) was kicking hank's arse like it was nothing.
Yesss I’m here. Did you notice Peter in his suit when he gets attacked. Tells me he gets attacked on his way to court.
@Aspen Formentera Nah. I have to disagree. Think he’s either going to court, leaving court. Coming back from the station or visiting his lawyer Matt Murdock.
Notice how Tom’s suit looks similar to the one Tobey was wearing when he was fighting Harry in the opening minutes of Spiderman 3
@@AqwDragulum it does doesn’t it. Don’t know if it’s coincidental or on purpose.
By Lizard for sure
@@Felix-yb5pd disagree think goblin just watched the Canada lad break down 0.25 seconds
Mark Ruffalo had even less enthusiasm in a booth I guess lol that was the most chill Hulk out ever
THE TEAM OF LOKI, FURY AND SHIELD WAS EPIC!!!👏👏🔥🔥😍😍
And the death of the hulk was the darkest I have seen .😭😭😱😱
The computer part was Hank logging in with Janet's account 3 days ago, that's how Natasha found out.
Michael Douglas knocks it out of the park in this one. The stand out to me for sure in the voice acting this week.

Still recovering from NWH trailer. Can't believe we finally got it.
Same
This was a cool episode. Dark, but really cool. I loved that Hank Pym was the killer and that he was in the Yellow Jacket suit. And Loki finally won.
It happened again finish a another episode what if on the train, went to the real rejects channel to check if they post their reaction and here it is, can’t wait to watch this on my lunch Break. PS- love the concept of this what if episode
so, events from Ironman 2, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk movies all happened in the same week. sweet!
Yellow jacket Man turned out to be a decent villain.
Loki is still an antihero.
Episode was sick AF.
Idk I feel like Loki falls under the Anti-Villain umbrella in this one
Considering he just took over the entire earth I'd still mark him a villain
I love that we get evil Hank Pym and wish we got Loki as more of an Omni-Man type.
My goodness, they pieced this episode together so well. My favorite one so far, I loved it!
Well this Episode really made me think at the Hulk Scene:
HULK SPLASH
Damnit! As a shield fan on y’all’s Patreon I was really hype to see Jon’s reaction to Coulson showing up 😭
I like how all the episodes are different because it make each one unique
love your videos, much love from Sweden to my favorite reacts channel. keep up the great work.
I don't know how to describe this episode. Love your reactions, tho!
All episodes so far are superb, I couldn't pick a least favorite. They are all my favorites
Mark Ruffalo's voice coming from a mix of Ruffalo and Norton's body in a Norton story/setting was so trippy
Hank Pym proves that Thanos could have been killed by Ant-Man as Hank did to the Hulk.
@@imtiazchoudhary3976 the third sentence 💀
Literally love this show more and more after every episode they release!
Somehow I guessed it pretty early on in my reaction so that felt good. I love mystery who-dun-it type episodes like this
Loki is gonna get wrecked severely with Both Captains popping out lol
Phil Coulson: There’s one name left, yours.
Nick Fury: I’m in, where’s my super suit.
I was impressed how long they managed to keep it a mystery
Just realized that killing Hulk and Iron man means no Ultron
Pym could still make it, like in the Comics
@@camiloordonez4906 Might be difficult since I'm sure he was executed in Asgard
The voice over of Natasha Romanov is really spot on... In some momments she sound really like Scarlett Johanson.
Tbh this could be my favorite ep yet. A big ol’ whodunit set within the glory (?) days of an alternate phase one with good pacing and unpredictable ending was just something I never thought I needed
How Hulk died here is what everybody thought how Thanos will be killed in Avengers Infinity War or Endgame
What If…
This Loki was President Loki from “Loki” series??
The title should have been "One bad week of Fury"
Nick Fury’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week
When the Hulk exploded, was like when the frog exploded in the first Hulk movie before mcu, sick! 🐸😜😎😂
This just goes to show the capabilities of Ant Man and the Wasp. They could really just destroy anyone, including a god.
In absolutely fairness, he took advantage of the fact that Tony wasn't fully armored, Thor was mortal, and Hulk was depowered. To see how he would do against a full power heavy hitter, watch him against Loki.
5:51 Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was actually the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in this The Incredible Hulk.
I’m surprised that they kept the hair of the Incredible Hulk instead of the Mark Ruffalo’s
15:15 I did not know about that last-minute casting change. But it makes sense. XD
A marvel :WHO DONE IT? Sweet!!..
Takeaway: Never piss off Ant man, he's definitely a high card.
Your expressions when Loki takes over are adorable!
A new group led by both Captains. Epic!!!
Coulson and Barton fawning over Thor's hair was my favourite 😂😂😂
Dear marvel,
in season 2, a Captain Marvel/Captain America team up taking down Loki episode please! Thank you!
