I first heard Inspiration being used as theme song for a traditional Japanese drama. I don't know what sort of a genius would've thought to use flamenco music for an Edo period suspense, but many Japanese agree that there's something in it that weirdly resonates with our Japanese senses, even though the music itself is Spanish. Maybe it's the guitar tones? Who knows. But I love how music can totally travel through time and space, reach people's minds like nothing else can.

Nope I came here because my taste is so cool YT recommends me these great obscure instrumental gourmet folk tunes but I def clicked on it because of the tiny fancy accordion. OK I admit that.
I didnt know my ears could make me see waves and surf against high cliffs topped with wind-whipped grass, and white clouds swirling and dancing with the gentle spring sun in a perfect blue sky.

I'm playing an old antique concertina that we bought from someone who had it in a storage unit for god knows how long for a play at my high school, and I thought that I was becoming pretty good at it until I saw this video. 😅 The concertina work in this video is incredible, and I'd never be able to do it with my beat up Christina (that's what we call her). It's such a beautiful instrument, I can't wait to learn it more.

Sending hugs and platonic love your way. Try the Gipsy Kings -excellent guitars with a Spanish feel. Pavarotti can be quite uplifting too, but not everyone's cuppa I know. I found Jesus so I'm OK, but I'm not here to talk about religion. Enya is beautiful, but caution if emotionally low. Try the Turkish March by Lang Lang, it's very uplifting. Waltz's by Strauss are good. Anything Salsa, Spanish, Latino like that is always energising. Experiment. I hope you take the time to YT these suggestions as much as I have to write them. Be blessed.

THAT'S A CONCERTINA??!! Whenever they've shown up in novels I'm reading, I always pictured a small piano forte type thing, not a gorgeous tiny accordion. Ahhh, all the musicians are so talented.

This is a concertina, but to see shredding on an accordion you should look up Weird Al's accordion performances.
Go to the Balkans then and see the players there. Believe me I am Bosnian and we have some absolute shredders on the accordion who do Solos in Folk songs XD

I felt like it more represented being in an Irish pub as a foreigner, as things start out slow and then progressively get more fun the more hammered everyone gets while the game is broadcasted on the 15 inch at the head of the bar
To me, this song has always evoked the sense of exploring a city beside the sea, filled with ancient architecture, ripe with trade, friendly faces, and beautiful vistas over the ocean. It's part of the reason I use it in my D&D campaign whenever my players arrive in just such a city.

I love the sound of guitar and violin together. It’s such a beautiful combination, and adding concertina has such a natural feel to it in terms of the sound it makes and how they all play together. One of my favorite songs ever

This song speaks to me of grand memories we lived and loved. We recall those moments with fondness in our minds eye, some are Crystal clear in focus others in a haze we cant bring into true clarity but the feelings are still just as strong as the day we made those memories and truly lived.

juscelino filho ....This is an Anglo concertina, out notes and in notes. The English is different, more buttons, play the same note in and out. Also can get iPad apps.

I don't (although I know how to) play Anglo concertina but melodeons, they play the same but the top half is in your left hand, enhances the ability to play both octaves, you can play with 8 fingers instead of 4, play bass with the right hand, or not, as you choose. Sure I can play the iPad melodeons, can't feel the buttons, and I was advised from the beginning not to look, so takes a different mind-set, quite doable with work. You can set the notes to show on the buttons, but reading is not my way, it is down to hearing, also hearing when I run right off the tracks 'cause no feel on the screen.
When I saw and heard how you three played together, I was reminded of something I learned in choir. My teacher told us that in a good choir, you can pick out great individual voices but in a great choir every individual listens in order to blend their voices into the singular 'voice' of the choir. I listen to a lot of folk music but I've noticed that the three of you are so in synch at times I stop hearing individual instruments and only hear the sound of your trio as a whole.
It's kind of magical to see and unique to your group. So Thank you for sharing your voice, listening to you work off of one another is a joy.

I listened to this song for the first time while driving with friends through Arizona forests (yes, there are pines forests in Arizona) and this song totally fit the vibe. Unfortunately, I didn't take note of the song, but one of my friends helped me rediscover it after 2.5 years. Totally jamming out right now.
I love how you can see the music traveling through them, and how much they're into the process of creating it. The foot tapping, the occasional smiles and glances between them. This is the true spirit of collaborative music.

This is a five year old song so I doubt anyone's still reading these comments but. I recently found out that I was the "other woman" in a relationship (neither she nor I had any idea. She forgave him instantly somehow), and for some reason this song, long sitting in my Spotify likes, has been the only thing to bring me any comfort. I can't even say why. It just reminds me that the world actually still is beautiful even when it feels ugly.

I tried to write this comment three times but I couldn’t dare pausing the video. This was a true gem and everyone did so well. The talent and discipline really shows, I couldn’t believe how the violinist was so clear and smooth with her bow at that tempo. And don’t even get me started with the guy playing the jewlery box
Say what you want about the internet but the fact that i can just listen to music and instantly feel like i was 5 again and walking into my local pub remembering the old folks voices, the smell of cigars and cigarettes the smell of whisky and a carpet soaked in beer but being in awe that through all this came a unity in music and feeling and emotion that is still unmatched to this day.
I feel lucky enough to be 28 and having experienced all of that but being old enough to realise its almost a thing of the past given curfews on children, the smoking ban and all of the other odd bits thrown upon pub life.
Doesn't make me nostalgic, makes me feel proud of the moment I'm in now. I work harder to this song. You guys got it, Talisk.

Echo has amazing power and sophistication that's surprising from a 3 piece Celtic group.
This feels like the 1890s, but you're sprinting through a field trying to make it to your destination in time. You don't know if you'll even make it anymore, but you find yourself forgetting to care, just the thrill of it all is what keeps you running through the grass. Wind in your face, pollen puffs streaming past, stray twigs catching your petticoat, with the sun pushing on your back and at the very last second, when you're just about to give up... you make it.

It's funny, despite the good studio quality, I like hearing the "imperfect" clickety-clack noise of the accordion. It brings a bit of life to the music.

Concertina .. also known as a North Sea Organ from the days of sailing ships. Portable and easy to keep your balance on a heaving deck without heaving overboard🙃 it looks like a Wheatstone, the best of them all .. I have one made by Horner and very early learned how very difficult it is to play so booked a muso who could on recordings. Almost the national instrument of our Afrikaner culture here in South Africa .. probably from the “trekkers” who came from the Cape of Good Hope where they heard sailors playing conserving, and took the music with them on their trek north with their trains of ox wagons. Funnily enough this music has a similar feel to the Québécois group LaBottine Surriente. (sic) The Smiling Boot, but they use accordion. Can’t wait t9 f8nd out where this group is from.💫💫💫 Lovely ❤
