  • A selection of the manually-activated male voice announcements that were used on the Jubilee Line, obsolete as of mid-2016. Voiced by Michael Meech (ex-BBC Radio announcer). Please see below for transcription. Journey between Canada Water and North Greenwich, and on approach to Southwark.

    2:41 "Please keep your personal belongings with you at all times."
    2:49 "Thank you for travelling on the Jubilee Line."
    3:03 "All change please. This train will now terminate here. All change please."
    3:47 "There is no lift service at the next station, and you may wish to alight here or beyond, and continue your journey at street level."

    When did you record? The announcement timing and Canary Wharf audio is old and the armrests are purple like original

    Why were the armrests purple?

    • @DaniThePancakeWarrior
      @DaniThePancakeWarrior 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure they used to be purple, before being changed blue.

      Before 2005 they were all purple. In 2005, the existing units were refurbished to blue, as well as having an extra carriage added, along with 4 extra trains. The new carriages and trains came with the old interior however, including both the old moquette and armrests. It wasn't until 2012 that the moquette was replaced and 2017 when they started to be refurbished fully that they were brought in line with the rest of the fleet
