I love - LOVE - the bright primary colours of the old South West Trains. Makes me smile every time I see one near my parents' flat. The newer ones with the South Western Railway branding aren't nearly as nice, so I would hope SWR decides to bring back the colourful liveries in the future.
I like both. The bold blue livery is awesome but the new livery on the Desiros makes them look somewhat professional and I like that, it stands out against the 455 for example
As far as I'm aware this is not an intended procedure in Britain. In Germany it would be possible (although with a lot of paperwork) and supposedly there are countries where the driver would do this even completly on his own.
Jack Jack Productions The chances of being in the train with the exact number 450-001 is about one in 300. Maybe a class 450/455, but probably not 450-001.
Jack Jack Productions don't forget the Guildford to Alton, Waterloo to Weybridge (sometimes) Waterloo to Dorking/Guildford via Epsom, Waterloo to Basingstoke, Waterloo to Poole, and Waterloo to Woking.
Hectictea 42 Productions No, as the train would normally call there. Data is only temporarily stored in the train, and permanently stored only in that beacon for that station only.
I would assume that whenever you’re designing a system such as TMS, you’d provide the amount of memory that would cater for all the foreseeable features you’d have with the assumption that each feature (where possible/it makes sense) could use the maximum amount of memory possible at the same time, no?
RIP SWT and EMT, rip stagecoach trains

R.I.P. South west trains.
Rip south western railway lmao
1:45 ah yes I will the drive the train from the middle so I cant see where I am going
"Blackberry" Like it! But then this video is also very usefull.
oh boy the union will love the part about no longer being in a private cab
I feel the 2007 Nostalgia Resurfacing
Good of South West Trains for training of Class 450 since after same operator’s Class 455 video. Plus Class 442.
I ate a blackberry while watching this
lol
OK
Best thing I’ve heard today
Phone or fruit?
This guard LOVES his job.
Y
Humm aws in the seating areas lol 3:12
I think that was The First door
Why is the Class 458/5 black on the front?
I don't remember that on the SWT livery
I never start any journey without checking my Blackberry beforehand.
Automatic Selective Door Operation?
Yes.
Cool
I saw the watercress line in the background
The station was Alton
R.I.P South West Trains Welcome South Western Railway
karl4518 I like the name South West Train name better.
R.I.P. South west trains
How did you get this 😂
Just by saying "Blackberry", you can tell this videowas made over 10 years ago!
Xboxbro68 this video was actually likely made between 2004-2006 as the class 458/5 trains were built between 1998 and 2002.
No, ASDO was installed across the SWT network in the early 2010s. Blackberry's were eventually replaced by iPhones.
458/5s were made from the 458/0s. the 458/5s were converted in 2014
458/5's didn't exist in 2008, so this was probably made at least a few years ago.
I literally said that.
Do they still use Blackberry, or is it iPhone now
BlackBerry? What is this 2008?
Dean Glitherow I know. I was making a joke as blackberries are so old fashioned and outdated now. Do try to keep up!
'Check Your Blackberry' I think it i iPhone now. 😅
You should use your Blackberry. What is this September 2013
So if there's a station overrun, can the signaller not authorise the train to back up a bit?
As far as I'm aware this is not an intended procedure in Britain. In Germany it would be possible (although with a lot of paperwork) and supposedly there are countries where the driver would do this even completly on his own.
@@ssingfo Japan for example
I don’t really see the class 450 as much as I did now I see the class 458 and 707 units
2:30 rofl
I have been on 450001 and both type of trains that are ASDO capable (450 Desiro and 458 - 5 Juniper)

Lawrence Martin ok, what line was it on
Jack Jack Productions what line was what on?
Lawrence Martin the line between London Waterloo and Reading
Jack Jack Productions don't forget the Guildford to Alton, Waterloo to Weybridge (sometimes) Waterloo to Dorking/Guildford via Epsom, Waterloo to Basingstoke, Waterloo to Poole, and Waterloo to Woking.
Shame Paul isn't here!
Paul is for First Great Western, this was Stagecoach but now First owns SWR
@@dsto9644 he was in a video for SWT and did videos for Railtrack, network rail and other operators
But it's now South Western Railway (SWR)
But you can called it South West Train (SWT)
It was South West Trains at the time of this video.
disused channel Because it has SWT Livery
Just out of interest, is it not just wasting computing space if the train does not stop at the station?
Hectictea 42 Productions No, as the train would normally call there. Data is only temporarily stored in the train, and permanently stored only in that beacon for that station only.

reboot a train, swithc it off and on agian
0:20 is that Staines???
Tk builds HD I don’t know but I’ve got a joke:
What Station do you get skid marks at?
Staines
Will Warde-Norbury 🤣😂
Looks like Aldershot
It's Alershot I think
Sunnymeads?
Just ues a train that fits in any platform
That means running shorter trains and that means less capacity
yes because swr trains can never be overcrowded with too few carriages
What are the xxxxxxxxxxxs for
What do you mean?
Blackberry lol. Working with the driver. We always reboot the train. Platform overrun. Default condition. What happened to simplicity..
7:40 Why not simply reverse the train back onto the platform?
They can’t do it because they already ran the light I think so, I’m not 100% sure
@@aq_h09 Yes it did run the light but why not just call the signaller and ask for authority to do that?
@@marcuspotter5590 the line isn't reversable so the train can't move backwards
@@brycedalton4674 Just use The reverser(F/N/R)to go backwards
@@TheArkamedBat Reversing a train correctly is not as simple as reversing a car...
Who else watches this at an age lower than 14?
Whoever owns SWR and EMR Deserves to go into the garbage, they replaced this awesome brand
First owns part of the company, that alone should tell you enough
