7 String Guitar Lesson: Evil Death Metal Riffs

- Do you want to get that evil death metal sound in your guitar riffs? I'm going to show you how in this 7 string guitar lesson.
You're going to learn 3 different death metal style riffs. And each riff has that evil twist to it. Each riff also comes complete with the 7 string guitar tabs in the video.
You'll also learn different 7 string guitar techniques with each riff. This is to help you expand your 7 string guitar playing and get better at playing metal rhythms.
Of course, you can practice these riffs on your 6 string guitar as well. Just use your E, A, and D strings instead of the B-E-A.
Make sure you stay till the end of the video after the lesson because I give you some more tips on how to branch out and become not only a better 7 string metal guitarist but better musician overall.

ThrasHeavy Rhythm Yeah dude, I was not too open to other genres in my younger years. If it wasn’t metal, I wasn’t interested (although I’ve always been an 80s fan, even some pop).
And believe it or not, I also played in churches way back in the day and growing up. It wasn’t my preferred style but learning different songs and playing on different keys (specifically songs that were written more for piano) really helped me learn the fretboard better.
So yeah, let’s make 2020 a year of expansion!
@@jasonstallworth I learned about my favourite band's influences, when they mentioned certain artists that at first seemed a surprise to me, I learned about punk rock as the raw aggression in extreme metal, blues helped me begin lead guitar, then individually certain bands mentioned artists that intrigued me, then there's 1970s prog rock, so the layers keep peeling back further and further.
Thanks for these videos mate, really helping me learn new techniques and improve my skills. I play these on my Jackson 8 string and loved playing the second riff, not sure what the hardest one is for me yet. If you ever get an 8 string guitar I’d love to see your lessons on that to. Cheers again 🤘

Question, your 7 string is the E2 horizon right? I can buy a second hand one for 1100, but is has no floyd, nor an evertune..such a shame
The Faceless Dude, I would almost trade mine in for a guitar that didn’t have a Floyd!! The EverTune is great to have though. But I still say go for it , especially at that price!!
Under the collar of branching out....check out this band ‘distant dream’, they have out 2 albums...i think the overall genre is called post rock....but man the playing and the songs just hit all the right spots..i like to call myself a guitarmusic lover with all kinds of metal as a strong favourite...
