Cannibal Corpse "Staring through the eyes of the dead" from 1994 - its main riff is also built using this pattern (and it was the first song, where I've heard it used that much).
That’s crazy that I figured out the pattern without knowing that. Now you point it out I can hear it with the trills. Thank you for commenting and sharing valuable information 🤘🔥🤘
Thanks for the quick response. I will be honest: there is a certain aspect of the sound that doesn't appeal to me. Have you tried using some modern plugins already? There are at least a few that excel at smooth, organic high-gain sounds.
@MiroslawBlazek-Gdansk yes tried many plugins and have the Neural Soldano plugin. I also have Ampeg 140c preamp clones and solid state power amp, plus my tube heads and a variety of preamps, overdrives and distortions I have over 50 pedals. To me tone is subjective and everyone hears things differently, it’s totally fine if my tone isn’t for you as part of playing guitar is finding your own tone.
I realize now that my other comment was probably naive thinking it's just the amp, sorry!!! I'm extremely new and I got my first guitar yesterday but is this a pedal producing the bulk of that sound or is it just an amp and strings + down tuning? Thank you so much!!!
Oh man, what a glorious sound you got there... I was trying to make that punchy sound, but had to give up... Probably overkill for my cheap Jackson Minion and Zoom G1 Four, eh... :-(

@@JoshuaBlakstormOfficial Damn!!! that’s extensive list of methods and thought out approaches and applications of your knowledge. My approach it’s definitely more ear and I search for patterns that for whatever reason I like depending on my mood that day . I definitely practice my picking techniques more than theory but definitely haven’t finished learning and you’ve given me many cool ideas and tips to explore.
Great tutorial 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks!
This guitar is great! Is it the goatwhore signature? ESP LTD should really bring this shape in more!
Correct Sir, Sammy Duet/ Goatwhore signature 100% agree they should make more of this style and they would definitely sell
@@DUNN.. Yup!
With some EMG 81, or any active pickup.
Subscribed 💪🔥 Love to see more videos like this
Thank you for subscribing lots more death metal patterns to come 🤘🔥🤘
Video explaining your tone, please? Ola England would be proud!
I could make a video about my tone . Appreciate the compliment because Ola is one of my favourite TH-cam creators
Wow. Subscribed.
Thank you for Subscribing , Welcome to heavy Metal Guitar Family .
@@DUNN.. Glad I could help somewhat.
Btw. did you use some DAW plugin for distortion in this video or an amp?
@@MiroslawBlazek-Gdansk using my MI Audio Revelation Australian made tube head boosted with a KHDK PARANORMAL 2
Welcome to the guitarist club. Majority of the sound is a tube amp and the speakers with the amp being boosted.
Does bro have the ball end of the string, through the top?
Yes
@@DUNN.. brother how?
Oh man, what a glorious sound you got there... I was trying to make that punchy sound, but had to give up... Probably overkill for my cheap Jackson Minion and Zoom G1 Four, eh... :-(
Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment. I started with a practice amp and no pedals with a $150 strat copy. I’m 47 and sometimes I’ve had to save for 2 years in my factory job, never give up the dream and you will get the guitar you want 🤘🔥🤘
Just found this channel WOW had to subscribe.
Welcome to the Heavy Metal Guitar Family
Thanks!
Stringing the floyd with the ball end at the head is the proper way
That’s how I always do it
your guitar sounds exactly as i wanted my guitar to sound for the longest time! what are you using?
Australian made MI Audio Megalith GAMMA with matching 4x12 with Eminence Wizards boosted with an Ibanez TS9
