It will be 61 years in July 2022 since I first rode behind a Double Engine on the FR, I have been fascinated ever since. I have travelled on the railway countless times and still enthralled, hoping to go again in April! Did the WHR/FR round trip in 2011, sheer magic!

I've got my fingers crossed for the new build Fairlie coming out in something like a Ffestiniog variant of BR Express Passenger (lined) Blue. I think that'd look amazing. Has there ever been a blue Double Fairlie before?
A fascinating insight to the work required to keep those magnificent Garratts in service. We lesser mortals can only look on in awe!

Impressed with your onsite capabilities. I visited your railway in 2000 and look forward to visiting again from Australia soon.

Nice, will Garratt 143 have its SAR Chime it had for the previous 10 years of service? Same with Garratt 138?
