Great video as always Max! Keep going! 💪🏻🍻 Until what depth do you think Sonios can perform well with 100gr jigs, 80-100gr Inchikus (like hayabusa kick bottom), and with 70gr deep minnows?
Thanks Shore Jigging Albania, as mentioned I like to use the Sonios to fish shallow spots but if you like to push it I would say about +/- 30 m depth. Great Max, I have a Sonio 100M RG and an Accura 100HH k, what do you think about new Accura R 95H? can we suppose the characteristics are similar to the lenght reduction from 100 to 93 as you described in the video? (I use mainly jigs)
Hi Jonky, the 95 H is not comparable to the length reduction from Sonio 100M and 93 M. The Accura 95 H is a powerful jigging rod, the tip is close to Accura 100H Type R, the mid part is slightly stronger and the rear part is similar to the butt of Accura 100 HH. That's a rough description video of Accura 95 H will follow for sure! Tight lines Max
good morning max, I saw the video on TH-cam, I wanted to ask you which rod you recommend between the 93m and the 100m. I use both jig but also black-minnow. our seabed is around 30-35 meters and I fish mainly with 50-60g jigs for small tuna, amberjack and dolphin fish but also snapper and grouper with size 160 n.5 black-minnow
Hello Marco, I would go for the 100 M RG. The K Guide is a little bit "softer/slower" in the tip so if I had to choose one I would go for the 100 M RG guide version. Tight lines Max
Good evening Max, I fish in the mediterranean (Salento, Southern Italy) and I was wondering which of the two would be better to use with a 5000 reel and PE2 with 20-25 grams jerk baits (like a tide minnow 140), around 25-30 grams topwater lures and jigs from 30 grams upwards. I would like to get a Sonio to substitute my spinning rod which is roughly a maximum 60 grams one and these are the lightest lures I tend to use with it. I would like to maintain the capability to use them if necessary, while having a good backbone for unexpected big fish. I am looking for a versatile rock shore rod. On the heavier side I think I would use some heavier sinking pencils (like saira, 50-60 grams), black minnow in 120-140-160 sizes, jigs up to 80 grams and maybe some heavy minnows like gravity runner. I have not a really big preference between lures and jigs, I would like to use both of them. Thank you very much in advance!
Hello Francesco, the lures you describe above are classic spinning lures. I like to use them on lighter equipment like Plaisir Answer PA90, this is a perfect rod for delicate presentations and animation of this kind of lures. Although PA90 is a medium spinning rod it has a powerful backbone which allows to handle good sized fish. Anyway Sonio is a classic shore jigging / heavy spinning rod with a strong blank and a big grip, logically it's heavier and fine presentations require more technical skill with these light spinning lures. Regarding the lures mentioned below you can use both rods 100M and 93M. If it's more important for you to fish light jigs perfectly I would choose 100M. If you are more focused on pencils, topwater and heavy minnows I would go with the 93M. If you insist on using these light lures together with the heavy lures on one rod I suggest you a 100M K-Guide. Tight lines Max
@@maxdocken Thank you! So just to have an idea, what are the lightest lures you tend to use with the sonio? Both in terms of jigs and hard/soft baits. I would use it for spinning in pretty shallow (like 5-10 meters) places when the waves/wind are stronger and for a "normal" shore jigging. I don't have access to deep places, max 20-25 meters so I think it would be fine as you mentioned in the video.
