I've been going back and watching the The Stranded series on MorningTide and maaan I wish you guys would get the crew together again and do another series like that. Those were legendary.
It doesnt necesarily need to be a big production with custom music. I loved the vibe of the old videos where they would just go out fishing with the boys, or talk about fishing gear. I could really identify with them because they had regular jobs just like me and shared their enthusiasm/dream of fishing for new species. Their travel vids were basically a holiday. I kinda miss that in the newer vids sadly. I feel like Briggsy/Cavy work VERY hard to produce entertaining content, but the key to succes isnt just hard work; its also having genuine fun.
That poor girl looked sooo bored. Now she knows how us men feel when we have to go the shoe store with them!
They should have turned to camera to her and see what she had to say- lol!

Recently visited Fish Head. I am a newbie to using lures and poppers. Duncan was very patient and helpful in selecting a new rod to suit my needs and selection of lures for an up coming trip to Swains Reef. . AAA service and a true professional! Happy customer 😁
Yeah this is awesome what a wonderful shop and to find the owner knows his stuff makes it a million times better. Most shops in the US will just try to hustle the most expensive gear in the shop.
I live in Hawaii and we don't have a shop like this. But thanks to this video and a conversation with Jackson from fish head, my Zenaq Tobizo 80-200 is in the mail on its way to me right now. Big Mahalo Briggsy for this vid and Duncan for his knowledge. You guys are legends! Aloha 🤙

Nice guy and very knowledgeable on the rods he sells. When you invest that kind of money in high end gear, it's nice to deal with someone with knowledge and a good deal if possible.
For sure was absolut worth it for come all the way from Germany 🤙! Special Place !

My wife has been there and done it, only a keeper will put up with a mans love of all things fishing.
Loved the vid Briggsy. Could spend hours and hours just taking in all that is a tackle shop and when the store owner or even staff are knowledgeable and friendly, what a pleasure.

Duncan is a legend, Sells me big fly gear to make pelagic and cod flies. If anything is out of stock calls me and sorts out an alternative as well as notices when im not buying hooks and split rings for sticks and pops and gives me advice on the best combos. I'm from SA so even on the phone hes good at sorting out what you need.

Fellow German here, it's actually borderline impossible to get most of the JDM high end tackle, pretty hard to get some stuff shipped in even.
Plus, service like what Duncan does, you don't see that, really. Lot of the dealers will just try to sell you the most expensive thing they have.
Man... I can't thank you enough for this information I live in the caribbean and I wish I can meet that attitude in a tackle shop.

I'm primarily a fly guy and I thought MY gear was expensive! Whew! Really interesting though. I wish I could find someone as knowledgeable as Duncan when I go for new stuff. Sometimes, even though you do your homework it can still be somewhat of a crapshoot unless you get to cast the rod and with the correct line. Great vis Briggs! And there's no way I could get my wife to go to a shop like that with me ha!

I knew he'd take the Zenaq on the GT set-up. Duncan is a knowledgeable fisherman but he's an ace salesman. Led him all the way to the Zenaq while making it seem like he was making the decision. And he did it again on the PE 3-4 set-up. And that's how you choose a rod mate. (Edit and right on que the Zenaq pro team legend shows up to seal the deal hahaha. Duncan just paid for his round-trip to Japan.) All joking aside I would have picked the Zenaq too if I had the coin.

I would love to a fishing trip to those waters you guys fish. The big fish we enjoy on the coast of texas. Are Bull redfish. Kingfish and tarpon. Quite a few species including big jacks

I work in one of the best fishing shops in Sydney (Bass Angler) and am still jealous of Duncan at FishHead. An awesome specialist shop that is the definition of quality.
The ZENAQ is a very good choice! they made also good jigging Rods in Travel Size :-)
I live on the texas coast.i WISH i could have a shop like this anywhere near me,that knows stuff like this shop owner.all we have here is retail kids getting paif minimum wage to help us that dont know ANYTHING

Just received the ASWB GT Tamer 8 from Duncan for jack crevalle and tarpon here in the US. Didn't know these rods existed until your Fish Head videos. Thanks for the great info. We can't find this kind of selection very easily here.

@@bennbo Good question. Most are just satisfied with Penn, St. Croix or Bass Pro Shops brands and the value they offer.
TheJACVids each to their own I guess. Personally I love use top end gear as I feel it makes a huge difference and is just so much nicer

Nice video, I already ordered quite a few rods from fish head, but the German is a fashion victim, he already had in mind to buy Zenaq because these guys are doing a lot of advertisement and in australia this is much cheaper than what we see in Europe. The grip when you fish with glothes sounds like a ridiculous argument. But again very good to promote physical shop versus on line.
