I have been trying to really understand this for decades. I’ve read many things including textbooks, websites, books, etc, I have watched many documentaries or shows or videos and no matter what I just couldn’t get the whole picture or any picture really. I watch this video with very little hope and I can’t believe it. I understand it perfectly. Why couldn’t anyone else make it this simple. You are the absolute best! You have no idea what this means to me. Thank you so much! It’s not complicated but yet nobody on Earth seems to be able to explain. Except you. You have made more than just my day. Thank you again.

Really finally get it now. You have the best understanding and explanation of all. Thank you for laying it out so simply. I can say that I have been exposed to years of people babbling on about various rocks, gone to look them up and just found things getting more difficult and mysterious. I knew what conglomerate was but breccia was a secret. I knew shale and slate, never heard of phyllite but often wondered what schist and gneiss were. Even if I had that chart I would not be able to connect it so clearly. Really I think this video is brilliant.

Thanks for sharing. Ben E. Clement Mineral Museum houses an outstanding collection of minerals, gemstones, carvings, period journals, photographs, mining tools and other items. The collection has been visited by various authorities on minerals and is believed to be one of the finest in existence. The Ben E. Clement Mineral Museum, Inc. was formed in June 1990 to make the attraction something that would generate outside interest in the mineral and mining heritage of West Kentucky.
