@2:48 Those plastic rivets are part number 6500911 and the upper clips that you want to try not to break are 68172491AA. Make sure you remove the old foam washer before you put your new clip in.

Great video! Take your time with all of the tabs. Didn’t break anything and did it solo in about two hours. Definitely buy extra clips for the fender liners but I didn’t use an actual rivet I used the push in ones.
I have the 2014 Summit and it does not have the fender trim pieces and it has the front bumper radar sensors so I am wondering if the removal process is a little bit different? Guessing those sensors are plugged into something and since there is no fender trim to unsnap wondering how it comes loose on the summit? Thanks

I mean, it is just plastic. And I have pretty good spray painting skills. I haven't seen anyone say spray paint. Blasphemous maybe?

If all you are doing is swapping out the grill rings or the insert behind the grill rings (I changed my Altitude from silver grill and gloss rings to black grill and granite rings like the Trailhawk) you do not have to remove the entire bumper. It's a pain to get the first ring out from the top, but once you get one ring out you can then tilt the grill piece behind the ring out and get to the next ring. It's not easy but if you have the right tools / small hands you can save some hassle.
Thank for uploading this video I have a 2018 grand Cherokee Laredo and I removed the bumber but I also popped out the 5th click on the fender in your video you said you slid it back into position so do I just pull out the clip or is there a certain way without breaking it
If it's still in the fender, you have to reach behind the fender and pinch the clip to remove it. Then reinstall it on the trim and push it all into place, starting with the 5th one first. If its still attached to the trim, then it should just push back in if it's not broken. Hope that makes sense.
Great video would’ve loved to see ya actuall pull the bumper just kinda showed where all the clips and bolts are but didn’t show the actuall removal of the bumper vid picks back up and the bumpers off kinda let me down. Can you tell me what’s the bane of the metal piece behind the bumper I need that replaced as well as the bumper reinstalled
Thanks for watching! I needed my helper to remove the bumper with me so it didn't fall and forgot to film it, but it can be done with one person. A couple of pulls back and forth and it will come off. Not sure what metal piece you are referring to. Time stamp?

Hey bud awesome video. I just got a 2018 jeep grand cherokee. Now I want to install a light bar behind that lower honey comb grill. Between the fogs. Does it come off with out the bumper coming off ? Or do I still have to remove the whole bumper ? Again thank you for your video

Hi Justin, Not sure why it wont come off. After the above procedure, mine practically fell off. If you removed all the bolts and fasteners, a good yank may help. Let us know how you made out.

I would of slightly heated each trim piece with a hair dryer so they were more flexible and use those fancy trim removal tools to pry them apart while pushing the tabs.

If you mean the rivets, no. They are one use only. Any other clips can be reused.
If I'm not comfortable doing this myself, what's a good estimate on how much would it would cost?
