Well the secret is out my house is not spotless! But why? Just a silly but true some of the good reasons behind a messy house!
Hi I am Mommabear2many many! Mom to 14 children 12 of my children still live here at home. We have a baby due in October! Join me in my day to day life as we prepare enough food to feed a small army! We will grow and harvest food on our homestead and do grocery hauls. Just our lives as a large family trying to live for the glory of God! Won’t you join us?

LOL- I have 4 cats and my house isn't perfect- I had 5 kids and my house wasn't perfect. I'm too old to care anymore what others think. If they don't like that there is dirty dishes in my sink, I would be more than happy to tell them where the soap and dish cloth is- :)

When you enter my daughter’s house there is a sign
“Pardon our mess my children are making memories” it’s ok just to be you no need to explain yourself you are doing what you need to do!! My parents and myself would get upset about anything out of order, not anymore!!! Live life have experiences . Your doing it fine❤

Absolutely agree! If you can just shower today then that’s an achievement if your children are happy warm fed and comfortable. NOTHING comes before them. They will grow up and the house maybe be tidy and organised again but you’ll be in a different season of life. Live each day to the max and enjoy it then sleep well knowing it’s been a good day, then when we wake up tomorrow we go through it all again. My house used to be messy with toys and crafts but now my babies aren’t babies and the house is tidy but to be honest I think I preferred the mess. My mum always used to say the more mess the kids are in by bath time the more fun they’ve had! I’ve had times the kids couldn’t stay awake any longer so they had their bath the next morning and went to bed mucky. That day though and those laughs will always be in my heart ♥️

it’s interesting how different people are because that type of life sounds awful to me but as long as you like it, that’s why choices are awesome
I remember close to 40 years ago my inlaws visiting and both of them commenting on my messy house. Not dirty, messy. I excused myself, gathered the 4 children and told them I was leaving to take them to the park and the mess will be there when I get home. Feel free to straighten up if you want, but my children and I have a play date. They never commented on my house again😊. Now, as I look around, my kitchen is out of sorts this week. I have two grandchildren for the week, I'm rendering down ALOT of pig fat for lard, picked and made blackberry jelly and made chunky peach butter, not to mention cooking and baking. I don't sweat it. I'm me. I can, forage, bake and cook. If the grandchildren walk into the cabin and kitchen is clean, they ask if they can help bake something so it can get messy😂 If they don't ask I offer it up, " who wants to help me mess up the kitchen"!!!

My house is a huge mess. Something happened just over four years ago and I fell into a deep depression that’s hard to get out of and then in November I lost my job and have had no luck finding another, I’m a single mother so it’s very hard to get by. That made my depression worse. My little ones don’t deserve to live in this filth and I want better for them I’m just finding it hard to get up and do it. Please send up prayers for us that I find a job and get my life together. I’m starting to lose my faith but haven’t lost it completely because I realize that I would have never made it this far without a job without God on my side.
Start one day at a time. Get outside everyday. I know it’s hard to pick yourself up. But we have to do it for our children. After my son died it was hard but I knew I had to do it for my kids.
Covid happened just over 4 years ago! I went through a depressive state that lasted for years when my kids were teens which affected my housekeeping directly. Indirectly, I was trying to keep the teenage kids all going, doing college fulltime myself and working for over 32 hours a week without ANY help from husband. All he did was criticize. Teen kids have busy social lives and helped where they could, but I insisted that school and grades were their number one jobs. Sometimes we suffer depression alone, and if this forum is the only place where you are voicing those feelings, please do look around you and see if there is a person in the flesh who could lend you an ear if not a hand even. 🙏 Maybe there is someone who could take the kids for you for just one day or a weekend to give yourself a self-pampering day. Sometimes taking a day to put ourselves first will rejuvenate our spirit. Or it would be nice to do a church retreat with just women to build some bonds and to set the world aside.
Hey mom of 2 here I have gone thru some similar stuff. God has gotten me thru too and I know he will take us further. I had to quit my job cause my daughters autistic ways were getting really hectic and my siblings just lost their mother after losing our dad. I am still on welfare I’m mentally disabled and just lost my stepdad last September and so I’ve been trying to get my life together to help my little brother heal from everything. I just want to say I am sooooo proud of you! You can do anything in this world because God will help you! I have thankfully never gone hungry , and we have nice family that let us live with them til we get our own place. It is HARD LIKE SUPER DEPRESSING I understand give yourself some grace ❤ you really are doing the best you can! I haven’t been cleaning like I should have after losing my dad I just struggle to take the trash out and want to clean their clothes. Even want to give myself a bath. But when my child’s daycare almost called CPS on me over a stain on her shirt I slowly been getting myself together. Our room still isn’t the cleanest at all but I do make sure my kids stay very clean. Baby steps everything will turn out great

Mom of 7! My little boys clothes always go missing because they don’t make it into the correct drawers. The 9 year old will come out wearing the 7 year old’s pants and does not see the problem, haha! The 7 year old does the same with the 4 year old’s clothes, or he ends up wearing the 9 year old’s shirts. They also lose their socks 🤣 I’m like, how does this even happen?!

all beauty fades with age,,,, your house looks great i raised 2 kids and worked and had a hell of a time keeping everything presentable, so you do terrific with a lot of people in your home.....its wonderful seeing all the kids pitch in you've got some hard-working, responsible kids for sure!!!
Aww so sweet. I remember a sermon one time where he was talking to young people. Told them go to a nursing home everyone’s outward beauty fades it’s what’s on the inside. I love that!
I also wonder where all my Tupperware bottoms go. I always said I think the missing socks come back as Tupperware lids because I can never find the bottoms to those lids. lol. Just a little chuckle for you today

Sometimes I need to remember to read it when I get comments about the help being dirty especially from those that think women have a role and men have a roll
Basically women supposed to do all the inside work clean cook garden tend kids laundry even work the field if they have time cater to the men. Men supposed to bring home the bacon so to speak if mine had a job I'd faint if he brought home the bacon I won't see it
But they men are supposed to mow the yard and take garbage out and bark orders at their women.

So true about socks and spoons..... only me and my husband and spoons walk away. Washer eats the socks but spoons walk away is all I can figure.

I wish I had the reasons you do! I have no kids and 1 dog! But I get better offers - read a book, go to lunch with a friend, take my pup for a walk or watch TH-cam! But I am 70 so I guess that’s my reason! I want to enjoy life!

Socks, spoons and glasses disappear. Then it is shampoo with large families some little ones squirt it in bathtubs and make huge bubbly baths.
We don’t have the soap issue as we don’t use shampoo but the other 3 yes!

I have but one reason, it is spring and the yard/garden calls my name! IF there was a second reason it would be that I just don't care given that I go out to meet peeps instead of bringing them home.

I watch you just for this, because you are real. I want the real. I have issues with the channels where everything is perfect. I have often seen that people that try to act like everything in their life is perfect, you find out that there are other issues going on, and it's far from that. I don't like people who put on a show. I've got packs of seeds sitting on my dining room table that have been there since Feb., there's some dust in my house, and quite honestly, my bathroom looks like one at a Chevron station. It will eventually get cleaned, but right now, my top priority is outside getting plants in the ground. I know an 85 year old lady, she's awesome. She says if someone has issues with your house, or a little chicken poop in the yard, they don't have to come over. She's very no nonsense. My house is not filthy, it could be better, but bummer. I don't care right now. It's not life or death.
By the way, your house is just fine.

I have 9 kids and a small suburban homestead.
We homeschool and cook from scratch and have starts and boxes of wool and sewing and crocheting items and much more.
One thing that I have learned along the way is that less is absolutely more. I have been decluttering and purging regularly for several years and it has made such a difference.
We rarely find that we don’t have what we need and when we do we purchase it. And yes the house does get messy but because the amount of stuff is so much less it doesn’t take long for things to get back into order.
Working homes are loved home and children filling the home with laughter and teamwork and learning is such an amazing way to live life! ❤❤

Great video and also don't forget that your growing a baby and fighting nausea while doing all the other things. I have a story about this very topic when I was pregnant with my first son I had a rough pregnancy with him and I was working full time until I hit 8 months and they put me on fulltime bed rest until I delivered my mom came after I had the baby and I was back at home with the baby i had a very rough delivery and a baby that came home jaundice and here is my mom crawling on my floor pulling cat here out of the cracks by the baseboards and her telling me this is my investment because we were renting her condo let me tell you I was not feeling well when she went off on me and I told her I have been on complete bed rest for 6 weeks I said Eds been waiting on me when he's not working and doing the best he can to clean and I just had a baby and I will not be down on those floors right now give me a couple of weeks and I will clean the floors guess what my mom now cares less how dirty my house is and tells me over and over I don't care how messy your house is. Sometimes life gives us messy houses and its okay! Take care and Happy Mother's day to a great mom!
