Clarence Seedorf won 4 champions leagues with 3 different teams. He is the epitome of the box-to-box midfielder. Lyes you know ball, im not surprised

But he himself choose modric over seedorf.

The worst mistake was putting zidane at the mezzala role.
He was number 10.
Carletto said there were only 2 players at Trequartista, wich were Zidane and Kaka.
He stated that Zidane had the quality, skill and ability.
But he picked Kaka because Kaka had the efficiency.
Ancelotti also had Baggio too and said that he regrets not being flexible enough to have properly accomodated him.
I would probably still go with Kaká too, but woyy, talk about good problems.

I just stumbled on this channel. I'm glad I did. I would have bounced Modric for Seedorf. He could do it all. And I would have picked Sheva as a 9, but you can never go wrong with this team. Also, Inzaghi was amazing in my eyes. It was like he was born to score goals, and he was blessed by the footballing gods.

I wouldn't call Pirlo a defensive midfielder lol. He's a regista, which is a specific position, and they don't do defensive work unless they have to. Gattuso was the guy doing that job for Milan and Italy, and then Vidal when he was at Juventus. A deep-lying playmaker is not a defensive midfielder.
Also, Costacurta was a centre-back for most of his career so I don't know what he's doing at full-back. Maldini also played more matches at left-back than CB.

plz do an episode on Del Piero!! Growing up I used to think he was the coolest player. The Fifa 04 intro, the sideburns idk if this is confirmed or not but I always thought Gavin Harris from the Goal movies was loosely based on Del Piero.

I agree with Nesta and Ramos being the CB duo but that’s also the position where Carlo used Maldini more often in which he wasn’t that convincing at. It’s why Carlo move to a Stam-Nesta partnership and moved Maldini back at LB where he wasn’t as dynamic as he was under Sacchi. LB should've gone to Marcelo imo
Zidane's absolute peak was also under Ancelotti, he has to be in the team even though he didn’t play at CM like Seedorf did. Have to note that Seedorf also did have his best individual years as a 10 under Ancelotti
Did you just say Maldini wasn't good while playing CB? Good god, he would make top 15, maybe even top 10 even as a CB alone. The only reason anyone would ever say that Maldini wasn't convincing as a CB would be that you'd be expecting him to be as good as he was at LB, which was mythical, absolutely never seen before stuff. Plus, maybe the greatest leader on the pitch, there aren't many players who could hold Gattuso by his collar and make him shut up.
Buffon became #1 at 18 under Don Carlo. Also became Italy international while playing for Don Carlo.

Lyes putting Pirlo in table got me rating his ball to a whole new level...Aside from Gerrard,no other midfielder had all the weapons like pirlo...His defensive ability not the greatest but he had it still..None of table one midfielders can pass like him xavi is a debate but his long range passing nowhere near pirlo...His set piece ability is elite ..Only xavi could control a football game better than him...All table one midfielders miss at least one quality but pirlo had it all

As a Ronaldo fan, Kaka broke my heart man. I still believe individually Ronaldo was the best player on the planet and deserved the bdor. But what Kaka did for Milan that season saw him win the bdor.
Such a shame, Ronaldo could have won the ucl and bdor if united were just a bit better. But indivudally, Ronaldo that season is one of my all time favorite Ronaldo's versions.
No way did Ronaldo deserve the Ballon d'Or in '07, are you mad? Kaka was unmatched that season.

Crazy that Gattuso was only mentioned by name. He’s one of favorite players to go back and watch. Warrior. Leader. He starts in AC Milan’s all time xi. Sure he has a temper, but I love the Italian hardness and passion he had

modric/lampard (for me if u actually go off ancelottis seasons I think those were weaker seasons for modric, I think Modric reached his peak after ancelotti and very very unpopular take but I think he was arguably almost as good at tottenham than he was at real madrid in those first years before the 3 ucls in a row, I think his peak was 2016-18 and he reached near those levels at points last season. Im not saying he wasnt world class but lampard was sooo good when ancelotti managed chelsea.)

Nah, get the Chelsea boys out of that lineup, they're not on that level. Drogba is never going ahead of Sheva, Lewa and Benz. Lampard is not getting in ahead of Modric, Seedorf or Kaka. Terry also isn't getting ahead of Stam, Thiago Silva and Ramos.

As for Lampard for me it was a toss up between him and Modric ... two different types of players but I chose Lampard to have different characteristics since there's already Zidane and Pirlo that have similar characteristics to Modric. I would choose Lampard over Seedorf and I already put Kaka in the line up so I didn't pick Lampard over him.

I always say that, that no one has managed a better array of players as a collection than Carlo. I mean, he managed Zidane at one point, that alone makes Carlo have a better midfielder than anyone Jose, Pep, Klopp etc have ever managed and probably will ever manage. From Carlo's players, you can literally make 2 or maybe even 3 absolutely legendary teams that would be on par with the absolute best XI of most managers. I mean, imagine that when people make his best XI, someone like Dinho or Frank Lampard deservedly doesn't make the cut, WTF.

Xavi was the one getting carried by his teammates. There's a reason why no one cared about Xavi prior to 2008. It's guys like Ronaldinho, Mesi, Iniesta, etc who made him look better than he was.
