The guy who said he doesn't rate Xavi has never watched Xavi. It's actually sick to say that. And the fact that he named Busquets tells you he only watched Busquets from 2019 and onwards. The way Xavi and Busquets used to run games has never been seen. Scholes and his partners got slaughtered against them.
Busquets is the best CDM of all time, he isn`t even my favorite CDM of all time, but there is no denying that Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta is the most intelligent midfield of all time.
No one cared about Xavi before guys like Ronaldinho, Messi and Iniesta came along. He never even got onto the 30 man Ballon d'Or shortlist before the age of 29. Xavi had 4 years at the highest level, tops, and that was mainly because of the teams he was in. Individually, he is inferior to every great midfielder from that era.

No, he isn't. Iniesta can do everything Xavi can and more but not vice versa. I wouldn't even put Xavi above Scholes or Kroos, let alone Zizou, Pirlo or Modric. All the midfielders mentioned had more weapons than Xavi. Remember, no one even rated Xavi that highly before like 2008. He wasn't a dead-ball specialist like Pirlo, he wasn't a goalscorer, and he wasn't a dribbler like half of the players here (Iniesta, Modric, even Seedorf). Mate, even Kroos and Pirlo were much passers of the ball than Xavi, especially when it came to long balls.

@@daany8700 CR7 has done it most of his career without VAR too. The rules in football now make it somewhat easier. Have you actually seen any footage of George Best? He was one of the first British superstars. The best player to never play at a World Cup finals and through no fault of his own. If you are talking about pure talent, there's not even a debate, George Best is light years ahead of CR7. Going by pure talent, CR7 doesn't even make the top 20, maybe not even the top 50. He has got to where he is through hard work. Btw, I'm a Liverpool fan, so me saying George Best is not biased in any way, shape or form. There are some Liverpool players I could have mentioned, Luis Suarez being one of them, Kenny Dalglish being another, Ian Rush being yet another, but I chose not to. Football is a team game when all is said and done and CR7 is not a team player.
