Ben 10 is a really interesting series all about a 10 year old kid using a wristwatch to take the form of many aliens and take down some bad guys with a bunch of one liners. Since the show was really good, it ended up getting a game based off of it; Ben 10 Protector of Earth.

2 things I want to say:
1. Thank you people who informed me that the PS2 version has voice lines in the boss cutscene dialogue. I didn't know that was a difference between the PS2 and PSP versions. In future reviews I've done more research for these games than I already did and so far haven't encountered mistakes that are past this video. You can also stop mentioning that now. Lol.
2. Thank you guys for 1K views on this video. I am a little annoyed that it happened to be the video where I was sick when I recorded, but regardless, 1K views is 1K views. Again, thank you guys for the support.

I'm with you totally. If I was part of the character development team I would demand to have Diamondhead, Upgrade, Stinkfly & Benwolf as a DLC for the PS4 to be included. And each of them would have they're own advantage as you travel the levels.

I used to love this game; but honestly, the lack of 10 aliens really sapped a lot of enjoyment from it. The cool thing about Ben 10 is that his arsenal is huge. Butchering his arsenal butchers the fun.
That's very true. It's a big issue I think a lot of people have with this game. I played this game when I was younger as well but never really noticed how dumb it is that you can't play as most aliens in the show.
IKR they include Wildvine and not include Diamondhead? Like wtf?
Heatblast is cool but if there was Diamondhead...

Is anyone gonna mention how oddly dark the lines Ben says upon defeat? Like; “Grandpa… I’ve failed you” and “So cold”

8:22 Yeah, Cannonbolt is powerful if you upgrade him enough, but you know who is even more broken, Heatblast. Since he has so many combos that involve range attacks that does fire damage, Fire tornadoes that eat enemies' health, and a massive fire ball that does a ton of damage. His most powerful move you unlock later is called armegeddon, which involves Heatblast flying up from the screen, and rains fireballs from above, which is basically a screen nuke.
Note: Heatblast can even do a short glide to help with certain platforms.

Their are voice lines for the bosses for the PS2 and Wii version of the game. I think it’s just a bug with the PSP
Yeah. Other people have told me about that. Could be PSP limitations which even then is still weird, but it's whatever.
There are many cuts and omissions in psp version . In boss viewer you can't look behind the enemies in psp but you could in ps2 , In game Dialogues or one liners by Ben is omitted , Voice lines as mentioned above but even after all that you had a console Ps2 game in your hands all the time speaks for it and that was the time before smartphone were a thing . Also they srunk 4gb Ps2 game to 600mb psp one 😂 so things will lose in that process .

About the transformation part I personally like it yes I know they could have made it look 3D but then it would look (REALLY WEIRD)
That intro made me laugh WAY harder than I probably should have, if only because of the implications prior to the reveal.

I loved this game and still do but hopefully one day it could get a remaster, not only would it look good but add more to it, mostly it's missing stuff

Also I remember owning this on PS2 and Wii when I was younger, I did also own the DS Version in the Ben 10 Triple Pack Cartridge a couple years later, they were really fun from what I do remember of them. This really brought me back to my childhood, good video.
Edit: Also about your critsm for the story, I know what you mean. I think the story is better in the games Alien Force and Vilgax Attacks but I've only played the DS Versions of them and my Cousin owned the Wii version of Vilgax Attacks that I played very little of, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt if you must.

I owned the PSP version of this when I was younger. I remember playing it a lot. Was the only Ben 10 game I played before starting these reviews.
Haven't played Vilgax Attacks as of yet (but I will very soon) so for now, I don't have much of thought on the story at all.

Now, about the fact that there aren't as many aliens as there could be in the game. Besides Ghostfreak, Grey Matter and Ripjaws (which you mentioned) I'm pretty sure that Way Big and Eye Guy didn't make their debut yet. Arctiguana, Spitter and Buzzshock didn't get unlocked in the OS. Upchuck has just two moves (eat and vomit).
But they might have been able to add Wildmutt, Stinkfly, Diamondhead, Upgrade, Ditto, Benwolf, Snare-oh and Frankenstrike if they came up with special puzzles and moves for them.
Upchuck could actually be unlocked as a secret alien with a code in the DS version

About the game itself, I've only seen videos on TH-cam about it and it looks fun, but the graphics leave a bit to be desired, and it's a shame that you can only use 5 out of the twenty alien shapes that Ben once had and not at all Gwen and her magical powers.
It'd be nice if they did a remake of the game, with improved graphics, essentially rewritten story and more gameplay possibilities (as in the case of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened).

Ooo a ben 10 video game video. Nice review I loved playing this game on psp over and over again. I wish there were at least 10 aliens and I found that the game ended on a strange note which lead to me thinking maybe if I get collectibles there would be a secret level or alien. Might have been cause I was younger but I never really noticed that cannonbolt was overpowered although some moves are overpowered like the heatblast fire bomb thing he does in the air which you can spam.
Thank you. Yeah, the lack of aliens you can play as is annoying considering there were so many cool ones that were left out. The ending might be alluding to the another game after this, but that's a huge "might". I've never played the others so, that's up in the air right now.

Same here. As of right now it's my second favorite Ben 10 game after Vilgax Attacks. Still got plenty more Ben 10 games to review though so that opinion could easily change in the future.

You probobly played the ps2 version, the audio problem is only a PSP issue it looks like
This game is actually one of the first video games I play on the Wii. The game is good, but it seem to have content that are either cut out or changed, like certain enemies, and 6 unused alien forms. Also the voice lines you mention on 9:23 didn't work on the PS2, maybe an audio error? I mean Enoch doesn't have sound effects in his intro on the Wii.

Ben is still a ten year old kid. He may have gained coordination and some skills in his human form thanks to the aliens ... but it's not enough to take on ten-foot titans.
The reboot was actually wrose than the other rebooted show imo, tho. The artstyle and designs were nothing like the original unlike other reboots. The other were still better.

Think I had this on PSP, DS and Wii when I was younger.
Can't remember much of the DS one, and all I can remember with the Wii one is the last level with button prompts.
Tbf, I was probably half asleep and pretty young.
tbh be cool scooby doo is actually underrated it's meant to be a fun show a break from the last serious show which meant the show took a light direction

Great review. If I’m not mistaken this game was actually rushed I heard that files for diamond head and wildmutt were found. Which would make sense considering the extras content
Solar_Kirby221 Yes they did rush it, If they would've slowed down they could've have just said they needed more time to negotiate having Diamondhead, Wildmutt, Upgrade & Stinkfly added, then they wouldn't have got those complaints from the players. Can you tell me about how you found out about those files?

@@solar_kirby221 alright, cos you see I am doing multi research and revision study to find evidence that the game itself may have had some evidence of missing files the game team of high voltage software forgot to add to the game while they were rushing the game because they were practically excited about its release.

Reboot takes place in an alternate timeline......creators can continue after omniverse it they want its clearly written in ben 10 wiki they are just testing things out on reboot....
Agreed any new Ben 10 game needs to not limit is. Just like the Batman games let us be Batman. Let us be Ben! I wish he went over the endgame section where you have master control, unlimited Omnitrix energy, and you just fight boss after boss. So fun.
Hey, I know this video is old but I saw some comments regarding the voice lines on the psp and as a speed runner of this game and someone who has had a look at some of the code and assets, I’ve currently got a theory. Because, the voice files are actually in the game. They do exist in the game files. However, the code which calls the files to be played isn’t in the game, meaning the files can’t be played. Based on other things in the code and a bit of research, it appears development was troubled, and someone was brought in towards the end of development to try and fix some of the issues the development team was having. However, this was never fixed oddly enough. Of course, this is pure speculation and there may be some other issue
That is a good theory. We more than likely will never know the case 100%, but it's interesting knowing the files are in there, but there's just no code for it. BTW, I'll never mind a comment coming in years later. It can potentially bring insight with a game. Plus, I've made plenty of mistakes that people have pointed out too.

Now, keep in mind I haven’t played this game in years, but I’m 100% sure that the boss intros had audio in the console version. So I’m pretty sure that’s a psp problem.
I think this is the only good ben 10 game. The other ones either look bad or have very few moves for each alien. The move set in this game is incredible.

The series hasn't that bad for me. (I've only seen up to Ultimate Alien) And from what I've seen of the reboot, it's not too bad compared to other CN reboots *cough cough* Powerpuff Girls *cough cough*. Now, my opinion could easily change as I go through the rest of the series, but as of right now, Ben seems fine to me.

I actually bring the Upchuck stuff up in my Ben 10 review after this, which was Alien Force. I didn't know about the Gwen 10 stuff though.

upchuck is actually in the ds version but hes a shitty screen nuke that entirely drains all of your omnitrix power and doesnt work on all enemys you also have to do a dumb unresponsive code thats a pain in the ass the ds game is a clunky piece of crap with tedious length annoying game play bad graphics

I do. I don't exactly watch that much though. I'm trying to watch more though. Right now I've seen Part 1 of Naruto, Gurren Laggan, Steins Gate (and Steins Gate 0) and all of JoJo. I've seen bits and pieces of other anime like Soul Eater, Bleach, and One Piece.
Man those were the days! Playing this on the PS2 over and over again, neither of was knew a word of english, trying to piece together the story and gameplay was half the challenge. Most of time we had no idea what was going on..... good times.
