Thanks so much for sharing! Loved that you showed your failures and successes... so often when im experimenting i always want to throw the towel and give up after numerous attemps, and channels never show that!! I really want to try this for silver jewerly but so afraid im going to burn something 😅 i think with sterling or fine silver might be way easier since melting point is lower.
@@KrakenCasting It’s called a Sestroretsk Ruble. It’s a huge 18th century Russian coin that only saw a few minted; the rest are replicas. I can send a pic but specs are 1,030.6 grams, 75.9 mm diameter & 26.8 mm thick
Awesome, was nice to see one of your "older vids" pop up on my subscriptions feed. Great job man! Those coins came out great!

Failure is part of the process! You don't get better without some stumbling. Just be careful with fire and you'll be fine. Glad you liked the video!
By chance do you have a video on making the original coins?
I don't, sorry. I'll have to put one together.
Can you reuse the casting sand? Or is it a once and done kind of deal after casting?
Some of it. The sand closest to the metal geta burned and isn't reusable without treating it, but 90% or so is reusable.
New to your channel. Recommend by Heinrichs Made.
Oh hey! I think I remember you from Heinrichs' live chat a couple months ago. Thanks fome coming over!
Congrats on your win,today.
Thanks! I'm doing a giveaway as well, if you want to be entered you can leave a comment on my latest video.
That is sand? Or Earth? Looks like earth

It's a sand called Petrobond, made specially for casting metal.
@@KrakenCasting Thank you for explaining
Do you take requests? I had a coin I wanted to caste. It’s copper though
