I watched this being built in Ipswich last year. Just had to stop and stare every time I went past and the boatbuilders were always keen for a chat about their work.
It is absolutely fantastic to see how Spirit evolved and now delivers such amazing modern-classic sailing yachts!

A beautiful sailing yacht and I love how the accommodations are classically styled yet have all of the modern conveniences and technology. The indirect lighting behind the ribbing of the hull in the salon is a nice touch. While I love the wood decking, I am surprised that they did not integrate some solar panels to assist with the charging of the batteries. It would be interesting to know the rate at which the props charge the battery bank when she is under sail power. Great tour as usual. Merry Christmas and God bless us everyone!

I'm surprised at the price. A huge helping of quality yacht for 2.25 million. She has the feel of a bygone era, but with all the benefits of hi tech. The attention to detail and the level of crafted cabinet work smacks of passion & care. Thank you for yet another wonderful video.

I think it would be fair to say that I have watched pretty much every one of your Videos Nick but I have seldom seen you so excited about viewing a vessel and you can see why. She is stunning a pure piece of floating art, shame we couldn't see her under full sail, I bet she looks gorgeous.

I very much prefer a more modern look with a few classic bits, as opposed to this very classic look yacht with a few modern bits. But I must say that Nick's enthusiasm and admiration for this boat is almost infectious enough to get me on board with him. LOL And I am really fascinated by the configuration of the battery bank and charging systems. But as much as I like the fact that the batteries are charged by propellers that double as generator drives, I can't quite go all the way to really liking the whole boat due to the fact that the styling has prevented them from putting any solar panels on the boat. I appreciate the beauty of the lines, and there are a lot of details on it that appeal to my steampunk sensibilities...like the light switches and those lights above the bar area are SO cool...but I am just not enough of the way this yacht focuses so much on form in relation to function. Great boat, Nick, and thanks for the great tour...but I cannot quite get there with you on this one...even with a mirror wave. ✌💯😁

Hi Nick, You did it a super beautiful sail yacht this is this Spirit 65DH from 2021 a real WOW factor great everywhere that beautiful wood work from the out side or inside the nice windows great galley with gorgeous tableware 3 sleeping places 2 heads all super nice and then this sails or speed with a electricmotor welcome in the new century wow. What a beautiful yacht that truly uses the beauty of wood. Pure class and elegance. Nice use of the limited space and still sleeps six! I love the environmental design. We need to look after our planet, and this gives you luxury without burning fuels or costing a fortune. I could tell you love this as much as I do. Thanks for showing us this true beauty Nick 😊

Not wanting to be a fly in the ointment, but look up Lithium mining in South America……things aren’t ever what they seem.
@@spizzenergi2292 I agree that Lithium mining is not great, but we all are guilty. I bet all of us have lithium batteries powering phones, tablets, power tools, remotes, toys and watches. But we still buy them. It however is better than the use of oil based resources that are controlled by highly corrupt nations or companies, and has led to wars and greed. I do prefer cleanly produced liquid hydrogen fuel cell systems, but it is hard to produce and not widely available. I still prefer this for its wind power and propeller power generation. The only downside is the need for batteries. We have not yet achieved truly environmentally clean transportation but this is closer and has incredible elegance with it. 😊

Wonderful tour Nick and if I was younger, I would talk with Spirit Yachts to commission a one off 130' - 140' foot DS Ketch. Spirit Yachts are simply stunning and for those that love the classics.
I know Spirit has made some fancier boats but this one is currently my absolute favorite of all of these gorgeous boats

Great video, nice to see such wonderful craftsmanship, just a thought after seeing the Border Force boat in tha background, have you ever thought about doing some walkthroughs on some smaller commercial boats, Lifeboats, Tugs, and other such working boats??
We did contact the RNLI and offered to do a lifeboat tour and said we would donate all the proceeds of the video views to them, but they weren't interested.

It most certainly is a stunning boat. The saloon makes me want to settle in with a good whiskey and friends. Having said that, to me, this boat is simply about impressing people and not meant for long periods sailing. That's perfectly fine, seems worth the money for doing just that. Now, I think I will fantasize about that good whiskey on that boat. Thanks, Nick, for getting us on this beautiful boat.
