  • For this BMW 328xi we integrated a 10” AudioMobile subwoofer into the rear deck! This leaves all of the trunk space available while directing the bass frequencies right into the cabin, not trapping any of the sound in the trunk! The AudioMobile subwoofer is great for this application because the subwoofer is designed to work in infinite baffle applications! Great bass with no loss of space!

    Did you ever think of doing a sealed sub set up for the rear deck? I did it for a Lincoln MKS. Game changer!

      @@krapola248 That is always a good option as well. Although in this vehicle the enclosure would hang down more than the client would have wanted, which is why we chose to go with a free air subwoofer set up.

    Does this one sub hit hard in the car? clean install

      Thank you! Everyone’s definition of hard hitting is very very different. In our opinion, it has good clean bass, it is not something we would consider hard hitting. For us you definitely need more than one sub if you want hard hitting bass unless you have subwoofer that is 15” or larger.

    How is the output on this compared to stock?

    • @sorealsounds
      @sorealsounds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No comparison. Stock subwoofers do not play deep, this Audiomobile subwoofer plays low and deep bass. Plus the subwoofer is also driven by 300Watts of RMS power which is drastically more than a factory amplifier will give.

    How are these Audiomobile evo subs compare to JL or Rockfords top tier shallow subs?

    • @sorealsounds
      @sorealsounds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I think they outperform both JL Audio and Rockford. In my opinion the AudioMobile outperforms the Rockford in both quality / output. In regards to JL Audio I believed the AudioMobile plays deeper with a little more sound quality. If I were to rank them I would say AudioMobile as 1, JL Audio as 2, and Rockford as 3. We just did three EVO 10s in a 21’ Cadillac Escalade and it was insane! I am not knocking JL Audio or Rockford as both of those companies make great products, but I would highly recommend AudioMobile over them.

      @@sorealsounds I have both AudioMobile and JL shallow subs and the AudioMobile outperforms the JL. I have a 10” AudioMobile in my Mercedes SL and it sounds incredible with the top down. I have a 12” JL thin mount in my crew cab pick up and Im swapping it for another AudioMobile sub. Very happy customer

      Awesome! AudioMobile is amazing products! JL Audio does make fantastic products as well, I prefer the AudioMobile subwoofers over JL Audio ... can’t go wrong either way.

    how do these compare to the morel subs?

    • @sorealsounds
      @sorealsounds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, we have not used the Morel subwoofers. The AudioMobile subwoofers requires way less air space than other subwoofers, there is no vented pole piece so the magnet can sit up against the enclosure wall, they handle good power, and sound awesome! Because more vehicle have less space to work with or most of our clients goal is to consume less space in the vehicle we always go straight to AudioMobile. Everything Morel makes is great as well, but I have not used their subwoofers to be able to give you any comparison feedback.

      @@sorealsounds thanks I was just wondering. My installer just sold me the 12 inch audiomobile evo subwoofer and is going to build a custom box for my 2021 Silverado. I was looking for deep quality bass and not overbearing or boomy. I am pairing it with focal k2's in the front and focal flax's in the back and a rockford t1000x5ad. I have high expectations I hope this goes well as I mostly listed to rock music and a little country. He's installing November second so I guess I will see how it turns out. He sold me on the evo by telling me it does good with little air volume requirements.

      Your installed was right the EVOs kick ass. They are not deep, they do not need a lot of air space, and they sound great! All the equipment you have going in is good stuff. As long as it is installed properly, PLENTY of sound damping, you use a DSP, and everything is tuned correctly your expectations I’m sure will be met.

      @@sorealsounds the only thing I did not get is a dsp.

      100% invest in one. The two most important things for audio is proper sound damping. Sound Damping is important so it can create a better platform for speakers to be in and perform the way they are supposed. Cars are flimsy metal and plastic, not a well built strong enclosure. Sound Damping will help make your doors more of an enclosure, along with reducing rattles, and wave breakers to eliminate back wave cancellation in the speakers. Second is DSP, known as Digital Sound Processing or Digital Signal Processor. The DSP will allow you to correct the issues of the factory or aftermarket radio so the signal going into your amplifiers is the best it can be. Then the DSP will give all kinds of tuning capabilities to correct the issues that will arise from the speakers being the locations of the car. From there you can then tweak the sound to make it exactly what you want. The sound coming out of the speaker is not what will reach your ear, you have reflection of glass, absorption of carpet & seats, a steering wheel in the way on one side and not the other, etc. etc. all of these things will alter the sound before it hits your ear. The DSP will help correct that altered sound to the sound you are looking for. Your products are great products, but with out the DSP I would lower your expectations. With a DSP tuned properly your sound system will achieve that high expectation of sound quality you are looking for.
