Filmed on 11-21-24 during a weekly Thursday night Karaoke event hosted by KJ Julian of B-Side Entertainment in the lobby of Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs, CA. I just learned this song less than a week ago, so I wanted to try it there because Julian provides amazing sound quality during his karaoke shows, which really helps boosts the performer's self-confidence!
"Après Toi" was the winning song for Vicky Leandros in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest in which she represented Luxembourg. The song was written by her father Leo Leandros, (a.k.a. Mario Panas) and German composer Klaus Munro, with French lyrics by Yves Dessca. It was originally written in German as "Dann kamst Du." Vicky has also recorded it in English as "Come What May" as well as in Italian and Spanish. Other artists have covered it in many other languages in different countries.
