In Sweden there is an expression "It was better before". As for this song, I can only agree. No pyrotechnics, no hysterical dancers, just Vicky wearing a black dress singing her song. With such radiance and her amazing voice, it still touches me ( almost starts to cry) and I think it is still the best song ever sung in Eurovision

I am 58 years old (and English) and I think that this is my all-time favourite Eurovision song/singer. It was beautiful. I loved Abba of course, but Vicky was the perfect example of Eurovision perfection and professionalism which has disappeared now, sadly.
She looks gorgeous here, doesn't she? And she was proficient in 3 other lingos besides her native tongue, wasn't she? And last, but not least, she was a talented singer.
She's unique for her classy style and these hand moves are totally Vicky. I love her Greek tamperamento! For me she's the best winner ever and the best winning song! Quality in everything! p. s. I will never understand why the ESC organisation didn't invite her to sing it in a interval act all these years. She's still good looking lady and her voice very good live.

She won , here in Edinburgh Scotland. The limousine that took her from her hotel to the venue was driven by my father .. He told me she was singing this song in the back of the car and told her she would win.. I was 12years old. This and three years before a man walked on the moon, are vivid memories. I know - crazy: I have to live in this head....

You got the wrong song and definitely the wrong artist: as sweet as she is Vicky was a horrendous performer - "L'amour est bleu", one of the true gems of all time suffered greatly just because of her in 1967.

I'd rank Aprés Toi in Top 10 ESC winners of all time, arguably the best of the 70s too. Such a powerful, luxurious, forceful and timeless track, would still do very well in the contest today! Being a British colony in mid 70's, Hong Kong had chances to broadcast the Eurovision contest for few years. Although this song got huge success worldwide, it did not get much air-play through public broadcast channels here. Only few radio DJs and record sellers discovered this gem. Πολλά πράγματα πήγαν στραβά στην Ελλάδα, πολλά πράγματα πήγαν στραβά και σε άλλες χώρες της ΕΕ. Αυτό που μετράει είναι να προσπαθήσουμε να αποφύγουμε αυτά ακριβώς τα λάθη στο μέλλον και να ενωθούμε ξανά. Ποιο είναι το όφελος να μην ξεχνάμε ποτέ και να επανορθώνουμε τα λάθη μας; Τίποτα. Ελπίζω ότι κάποια στιγμή η ΕΕ θα ξαναβρεί το δρόμο της προς την ενότητα. Αυτό που βιώνουμε και έχουμε σήμερα δεν είναι ενότητα, αλλά ένα άγριο μάτσο ναρκισσιστικών κρατών που επιδιώκουν μόνο το δικό τους όφελος αντί να μείνουν ενωμένοι και να υπερασπιστούν τα συμφωνηθέντα. Αλλά απέχουμε ακόμη πολύ από αυτό. Ας ελπίσουμε ότι μια μέρα θα τα καταφέρουμε και πάλι. Ειρήνη σε σας και στην Ελλάδα! Συγγνώμη για τα ελληνικά μου. Δεν είναι το καλύτερο!
Maravillosa canción,lástima que los nervios la traicionaron un poco y no pudo demostrar todo lo que vale,le tembló un poco la voz y estaba un poco insegura.Pero a pesar de todo hizo una gran actuación.💖💖

She won , here in Edinburgh Scotland. The limousine that took her from her hotel to the venue was driven by my father .. He told me she was singing this song in the back of the car and told her she would win.. I was 12years old. This and three years before a man walked on the moon, are vivid memories. I know - crazy: I have to live in this head....

Toujours la même émotion lorsque pour la 1ére on regardait ce clip ensemble en mai 72. Ce moment de bonheur je le partage seul car après toi il n'y a eu personne. Je pense souvent à toi et je te retrouve trop brièvement à travers cette chanson...
Ich musste dieses Lied heute unbedingt anhören, um mir nach dem gestrigen erneuten ESC-Desaster vor Ohren zu führen, was der Wettbewerb einmal bedeutet hat.
PC-Haltung, buntes Outfit, Herumgehampel und Sendungsbewusstsein sind kein adäquater Ersatz für (auch landestypische) Authentizität, fachliches Können und eine gute Stimme.

half a century ago and still sounds as fresh as yesterday. They don't write them as meticulous and artfully as then nowadays. Heard Vicky in a German show just a few days ago, and her voice is exceptional still!

You got the wrong song and definitely the wrong artist: as sweet as she is Vicky was a horrendous performer - "L'amour est bleu", one of the true gems of all time suffered greatly just because of her in 1967.
I love Vicky. I found a video of her doing a rendition of this beautiful song in English, titled Come What May and couldn't stop crying. Come What May is the most beautiful love song ever written. If you're a girl, play this Come What May song for the one you love, and I guarantee, you'll end up making love like never before...whoever you're with, man or woman, will adore and love on every inch of you. Vicky Leandros was just unstoppable that year, she slayed big time and thoroughly deserved to win. One of Eurovision's most successful stars, she is a Greek goddess reincarnated as a human! I'd rank Aprés Toi in Top 10 ESC winners of all time, arguably the best of the 70s too. Such a powerful, luxurious, forceful and timeless track, would still do very well in the contest today! English version Come What May is brilliant too, got to #2 in UK... SHOULD'VE BEEN NUMBER 1!!!!
Nice song but really just more French melodrama - The New Seekers should have won IMHO.
ESC could have been canceled at that exact moment because there will never ever be a song that good again.

Being a British colony in mid 70's, Hong Kong had chances to broadcast the Eurovision contest for few years. Although this song got huge success worldwide, it did not get much air-play through public broadcast channels here. Only few radio DJs and record sellers discovered this gem. By the way, as it was a classic, we are still able to trace this song through different online channels, Thanks for the technology.
The best Eurovision winner ever. Absolutely wonderful. Full of emotion. Lovely tune. I was involved in the Eltham Well Hall Train crash in London that year - 1972. My parents let me watch the Eurovision Song Contest aged 6 years, and I have been a huge fan ever since of it, attending also. I love this song. Nothing has ever beaten the quality and masterpiece of this song and winner of Eurovision 1972. I Often play it.
