Girl, you continue to amaze me, and I admire you so much. You are so living the life I wish I had chosen more of. At my age, and with the commitments I feel I have, it would be extremely difficult to do so. Having said that, in small ways, I’m striving more for that lifestyle.
Hi Sage, I just found your account a few days ago and I'm enjoying watching your videos. I am a single female homesteader that works full time too. It's refreshing to see another single woman doing this and seeing that you struggle too! And I have a mountain property that's very hilly in Pennsylvania. I don't have any friends who live this lifestyle or if I do they're married with kids. Sometimes it's a lonely life because Noone else in my life understands me and my desires for homestead life. I love watching you evolve. I feel such excitement when I see you upload!! Such an inspiration. I’m still saving for my homestead, so my work in gardening is limited, but I can empathize with how much work you have done the last two years and how you feel compelled to incorporate more of what you ALSO love into your life. Finding balance can be a life long journey, but knowing we are worthy of finding that balance is vital! You’re my favorite TH-camr. Please don’t ever leave us!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
I'm not sure? The ticks were terrible when I first got here, but I've noticed that they're not really a problem anymore wherever I let the chickens free range.
I love finding and hiking new trails, which I've only done a couple times since I've been here even though I live right next to some amazing ones. I gave up my gym routine, which I honestly need to keep myself sane and miss very much. I also haven't had time for smaller projects like wine making, candle making, soap making, or even just cooking for fun instead of necessity. And I had so many beautiful flowers this year but never really got around to arranging them which is a shame.
@@terranovaacres I highly respect you for doing what you are doing! Taking care of animals puts me on edge being the only person in the family who's into it. I'm more of a garden person myself haha. Maybe try and set some small goals of going on a small hike one day soon in between chores? I hope you find a way to get back into things as that's important for our sanity! I have been looking at gym memberships myself but now that I'm full remote it seems odd to travel to town for a gym but I think I need to treat myself for the winter whenever possible and allow myself to get into a healthy routine. I wanted to turn some of my yard into a flower garden but I wondered if it would harbor ticks? They are awful where I am in Ohio.

talk to a bee keeper near you. Get bees in spring, not winter.
To get a package of bees, you typically preorder them in winter and they arrive in the spring.
