  • The process is fairly simple with the right tools on hand, and a little knowledge of cars 😁. Take your time, do it right the first time, and make sure to get those wheel wells cleaned along with the calipers!

You can avoid unscrewing the brake fluid valve on the caliper if you open the brake fluid reservoir. It's located under the hood in the right corner all the way near the windshield. You just need to unscrew the cup.

The only "benefit" of having the fluid come out of the caliper if you're getting rid of the worst of the worst of the brake fluid. The fluid that's in theory the dirtiest, and has gotten the hottest.

Excellent video! Thanks so much for posting. One request, please protect your hands better from the brake cleaners, those chemicals are toxic! Thank you again!

Hey brother, first off... Thanks! What a detailed video! Wow. Thanks.
Does the sensor needs to be replace with the pads? Can't i just change the pads and not the sensor?

On older cars the sensor comes with the new pads. I'm about to do this job and will try it w/o replacing the sensor. Can certainly be done later if needed.

I have a question, I notice the past two weeks when I release my brake panel I hear a loud clicking sound from the right side. Also the steering wheel moves lightly to the right. Do you think it might be the brake pads, rotor or something else? I have a 2015 BMW X1 xdrivei28. I need your help?

  • @adrianomaganini

I think the first challenge for me was to find the correct aftermarket parts, as buying original BMW parts was too expensive. Actually, I bought the wrong rotors/brake pads because the aftermarket manufacturer had the wrong information in their parts catalog. I could not return these parts and had to buy another rotor/brake pads, this time checking only the specification, as the parts catalog said that it was for a 335 and I have a E84 X1 2.8.

Look into oem bimmerparts online. They sale oem bmw parts at half the price. Highly recommend 😁👌🏾.
