Have to say thank you so much for this video, Thanks to your very detailed video I have successfully managed to replace both rear disks and pads on my x1, even managed to replace the calliper on the drivers side. The Disks were a real pain to dislodge. but thanks to perseverance I managed to work them off. Thank you 👍 😀
Excellente explication je vais me lancer a realiser moi meme les petites mecaniques de ma bmw x1. Merci pour ce partage dinformations. Excellent continuation
Awesome video, thank you. I just bought some new rotors for my BMW and i will change them tomorrow, due to wobble when breaking. I will see if the old rotors where not straight or if there might be something else. Where should is start look if the wobble don't go away after changing the rotors or if it come back soon after?
Hi Jim, oftentimes that can be related to: A sticky caliper/collapsing brake line, worn control arm bushings/tierods/ball joints. An inspection of your suspension components may be a good start. We have a DIY for E9x vehicles (same front end as this e84) where a control arm bushing was so worn the whole wheel was shifting under braking, along with puling to a side.
Love the clear information and the list of tools needed ON SCREEN so I can gather the right tools before I start! 😂…
Yup!! I 100% agree! Very thorough than any other vid!! Good lighting and steps!!

Excellent video, thank you for sharing.
Good video, but the description looks like it's wrong. This video is on the 4cyl car brakes.
any chance the headlights can be cleaned and if not can you post a video on how to replace the headlight assembly ?
Awesome video, thank you.

Check the hub with a runout gauge
Hello did the new rotor change anytime?
@@santatrarmv6865 yes, but only temporary. It were some rods with a lot och play in them that made the whole tire assembly to wobble.
Awesome thanks.
Is the liqui moly ceramic paste safe for the rubber on the guide pins?? 👍🏻👋🏻
Yes, it is!
is it normal for the rotor to be rusted on the inside top part of it?
Is this the same exact procedure for the xdrive 28i?
oil brake flushing on e84 please

Why does your FCP kit only come with one Brake Sensor Wire?
As described in the video, only the left side has the electrical harness to accommodate the sensor.
2016 x1 28i?
Just finished this job on the exact car, however it dips or slides to to the left under braking. Any suggestions to what could be the cause?

Thanks for the reply, great video by the way.
This is actually not applicable to the 35i version of the X1. The calipers are different.
So do they just look different or is removing them completely different?
Freaking brake sensor is driving me nuts!!! It won’t seat, I have a BMW F10.
