- AfriCamps at Gowan Valley. We review this awesome property in the warm (but somewhat misty and rainy for our visit), heart of KZN (KwaZulu-Natal’s) Midlands Meander route. With only 5 tents, it's got a "special" feel about it, in an indisputably beautiful setting on the enchanting Gowan Valley Guest Farm, surrounded by rolling hills, forests, endless fields, and the swift flowing Mpofana River.
Owners Deanne, and Brett Bouwer farm Nguni Cattle and Golden Kiwis on the property with the five tents overlooking the farm. We were welcomed by the friendly and ever so helpful Tarryn, who warmly demonstrated the friendly hospitality for which the Midlands is so well known.
We stayed as guests of Africamps, with absolutely no strings attached. All transport, food, drink and excursions were at our own expense. So this video reflects my personal and unbiased opinion. #glamping #camping #pongola #whiteelephantlodge #africamps #videoreview

It rains quite a lot, and the tropical climate helps I guess.

air conditioner is a must-have, I guess, right?
It can get really humid, and winters care quite chilly, so yes it's pretty useful.

how old are these oak trees?
I don’t know but I think more than 100 years, maybe 2.
