  • This channel documents my adventures travelling around Southern Africa in my caravan.
Two years ago I left the big city of Cape Town, towing my caravan and a speedboat with my lovely cat for company, never to return to the big city.
I'll be documenting my adventure and showing caravan parks that I spend time at in Southern Africa as well as some other subjects of interest to caravanners and adventurers in general.
This channel takes an in-depth look at smaller and off-grid living in Southern Africa.
The tiny house movement is small in Southern Africa, but is growing exponentially very quickly.
Southern Africa is vast and has areas of great beauty with weather that is unique and superb. These videos will interest adventurers of all ages. There are still ways to live in this world that allow one to wander the world, as John Wayne used to do in the old western movies.
As I get older I have the choice to sit in four walls, watch TV and get grumpy, or go off and have an adventure in my old age.
I've decided to choose the adventure and I'm surprised at what I've found. I'm seeing some great places and having some fantastic experiences.
Hopefully these videos will bring out your inner 'John Wayne'.
Please like and subscribe and don't forget to ring the little bell to be informed of new videos when they come out.
If you like the concept and the videos, please spread the word to grow this channel.

Hi Don. It is indeed a no fuss, no frills family orientated campsite that's worth a visit.

I believe the worms are tubifex worms and are not really a problem for humans. They are used as food for aquariums.

I'm surprised to get this response, is this from the owner?? Trying to dilute the seriousness of the matter?
IT'S NOT NICE to have hundreds of worms clinging to one's body, no matter how dangerous they are - or not.
Campers should be warned or at least informed that these worms are in the dam - where people are encouraged to swim.
Instead I got a "sure there's nothing dangerous in there, it's hot, have a dip" from the owners.
It's easy to put up a sign warning campers about the worms, there are plenty of signs up for all sorts of other things at Glennscheilling.
But I've found that many owners will do their best to hide anything that may cause them to lose business, from dead bodies to filthy water containing fecal matter (they'll just let you drink it) to worms in the swimming place and on and on.
This needs to be addressed in South Africa.
Owners that hide anything like that from campers are crooks in my book.
And there seem to be plenty of crooks around.
