In my personal opinion, the prototypes look more enjoyable because of their shear speed, intensity, compactness and pacing. The Jersey Devil model though has a good length and also has good pacing. My worry for it though is it won’t be as intense as the prototypes since they aren’t as compact. I’m somebody who loves intense and compact coasters like apocalypse at magic mountain. However I like long rides with good pacing like ghostrider so I think it will be good in its own ways. I’m excited that this model is coming to magic mountain for possibly the 2021 season with it possibly becoming the new longest single rail coaster. They may even go as far as making it slightly taller and steeper.
Jersey Devil is definitely a coaster that I will need to wait and see run before I can form much of an opinion on it. I could see JD being one of the better RMCs if the pacing is really strong and the mid-course doesn’t slow the ride much, however I could maybe also see it being one of the weaker ones if it disappoints.
So from what I can see, the hills shape looks to be designed to make the first drop more airtimey even if you are in front. You crest but there is kind of that bulge that eases you in and then steepens nicely. Orion has that and even in the front that drop is nothing short of fantastic. So while WW and RB have the extra whip (which will yank you out of the seat in the back...), this hill looks like it could be exciting to say the least. This almost looks like it could give twisted colossus a run for its money in some ways. Now the restraints? Yyyyea... I rode Wonder Woman twice in the back... I’m pretty sure the second time when I had the train to myself it actually knocked me out for a sec. I felt light headed and like I was slowly fading back in... hopefully this ride fixes that... but anyways, I actually noticed some pretty noticeable pain in my collarbone on both sides where those belts were. Those spots may have been bruised even... So yea that would be something to redesign...
It seems like the restraints are the biggest flaw with RMC Raptors. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon but I’m not really expecting that to happen anytime soon.
@@808CoasterLife yea too bad to because those rides are absolutely awesome! They may be short and those restraints are painful but it’s such an amazing ride. Hell, it’s a speed/airtime based coaster in that small package! Usually coasters that small are centrifugal force based... and I don’t like riding those... they make me dizzy and others sick... which I have a phobia of.
Yeah imo they don’t even need to change it to lap bars (and they’re not because the Raptors are said to be too whippy for lap bars). But they should just make the vests more comfortable.
As of recently, Six Flags has started making improvements in theming, like with the queue of Apocalypse and WCR at SFMM, so maybe, just maybe, JDC will have an impressive queue line. (For Six Flags standards at least)
JD looks incredible. RMC needs to work on their trains/restraints in general though. The ibox/topper trains have really bulky restraints that make it easy to get extremely stapled. I'm not worried about JDs midcourse because the midcourse on Steel Vengeance is barely felt at all and doesn't really effect the rest of the ride.
Agreed! They also need to work on their Raptor trains because they now have a new threat. The Intamin Hot Racer will be using Intamin’s over-the-head lap bars which are very comfortable. I’m also not too big of a fan of shin guards so I agree they should fix the ibox trains. Hopefully the midcourse will stay trimless!

I agree that it’s pretty hard to judge right now. No matter what, this ride would be a great fit for the park!

That thing is so weird looking in person lol, it looks great and all just the visual appear may make Gp go to nitro which admittedly looks way better
