Badminton got more popular in asia after the lockdowns. People went out more to exercise and strengthen the immune system. Not long, people needed to find a non-contact sport that was fun, accessible and at the same time physically demanding as an alternative to exercise, then they realized badminton is just that. And we need channels like TBE to advertise the sport even more.

Good interview. That's the problem with many Asian players is they're very reserved, probably a cultural thing but you don't often see their personalities come out, it's like you have to wrestle it out of them. Also the language barrier might be a problem, in Denmark many are fluent in English but not Asia, so you get these one word answers that kill the flow of the conversation. If the sport had bigger personalities the sport would attract more viewers like a Conor McGreggor, or John McEnroe, badminton needs a badboy champion to become more popular in the West.

    Dear Anders,
I feel like I also speak on behalf of everyone watching your TBE podcast and all the badminton fans in the world that you invite the current strongest men's singles player Viktor Axelsen to the podcast. We would love to see your chemistry. Please make that happen.
    Cheers,
    Calvin.

has it ever occurred to everyone that Viktor may not want to appear, you could also simply be very busy.
they would want every single big star to appear on here if they could so I doubt it's from the want of trying.

Feel like Zii Jia could've spoken more so it feels more like podcast. This feels like an interview instead.

Another great episode, Anders, Hans, Oliver and the TBE team! It helps us get to know the sport and the athletes better. Thanks again and best wishes to Anders, Hans, Zii Jia etc for the upcoming tournaments!
