Yes i truly agree with you. Even if he lose we still get some interesting shot from the match like when he lose to laksha sen during all england. His backhand smash is so on fire 🔥
LZJ gameplay always gives added value in badminton, it's an art and very exciting to watch. His attack is something else, scary for opponents but such a treat to badminton lovers like me
LZJ is tall but not clumsy. He has a slight hunch that lowers his centre of gravity. A great athlete with fast twitch muscles providing great reflexive responses and smashes. All these add well to his explosive attacking style. His size makes it very worrisome for his opponents (he is like always in your face) when they are returning his smashes as if it is not perfectly done, there will be a follow up that will certainly kill you off. Over the years, LZJ has also boosted his defensive skill and that really made it very tough to play against. His long reach means his opponents will have to get in perfect kill shots. His defensive game is 2nd to none even though he is not a defensive player. LZJ's weakness is his inconsistencies and I suspect some lack of self confidence panic attacks. If he overcomes this mental aspect, he will be very very tough to beat. He will need to be careful not to overbulk himself with muscles as that will be bad for long rallies. We have seen him losing many of those. Syabas on his latest ranking and we can expect to him right at the top soon.
@@pranjalsrivastava3343 only his defense are good ,the rest is nothing....Axelsen play him like he was nothing....Maybe he should pack some muscle or get improved his attacking if he wanted to be great thing....In badminton, you can't survive playing only defensive play....

oh my god, what a masterpiece! thank you for the edits! one of the reasons to not miss lzj’s match, his character, skills and its always interesting! :)
They both at their peak have outrageous skills and speed but they are very different players. LZJ hits harder (more 'easy power)', plays way more aggressive, tries a lot more deception, goes for a lot more winners from his backhand, and plays very pumped-up. LCW quite a bit faster, quite a bit more stable, much better defence, plays with calmly focused desire, both are damn good around the net. A match peak vs peak would be i think quite anticlimactic tho, with LCW working LZJ to death, and basically throwing back everything LZJ can hit. He would make LZJ look unfit and ragged technically. Because LCW is awesome. LZJ is maturing into a brilliant, generationally-great player, I think he can challenge Axelsen for the no.1 spot, on his good days he can beat everyone currently playing, its just consistency. I must say though, LZJ is one of the most fun to watch badminton players i've ever seen, and i've watched many generations of them! He has style and swagger. I really hope the Malaysian press can restrain themselves from getting on his back the moment he doesn't win 2 tournaments in a row. Oh who am i kidding? they love to build players up and knock them down...
It’s safe to say that there will never be a second LCW however, its not about mimicking a greatness from the past but to start your own legendary legacy and strive to be a better version of yourself. Every player should be looked upon and respected as a representative of their own unique play style. In my opinion, even though 99% of current players can never beat prime LCW or LD, players like LZJ are just as awesome and amazing as these legends.
People may see him as being arrogant on court, but I see him as a guy who is proud of the points he scored. It may seem as if he's taunting to some people, but it is very minor & acceptable
