Here I am... 2023... watching, again, the last video you made. Loved your videos, loved hearing your voice. Sausage, bacon, good times. Simple stuff. RIP good Sir.
Wow, just today i was wondering why I had not seen any new vids from him, That opening hit me "Hey everyone is the walker" and I came here only to find out he passed away almost a year ago. RIP Walker, loved your vids.
I still come here to watch him. He was one of the first people I started watching for back pack camping. Really miss him. I hope his family is doing okay. 😞😞
Hello to all. I am a friend of Kevin and just wanted to let the TH-cam followers of his know that Kevin(Megawoodswalker) passed away last night. Let all say a prayer for him and his family.
Kevin was the best! My heart's broken. He was certainly one ofna kind and I'm forever glad to have met him. Started chatting with him back in 2004 or so on the Kifaru forum. He regularly attended and made videos of our winter shindig in the Adirondacks. He will be missed greatly. RIP brother...I hope the bacon is good there. Until we meet again.
This hurts. I don't like to say it but with my battle with depression videos like Walker bring me to a place of escape he had a great outlook on life I'll miss him
Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.
I miss him so much he was my favorite TH-camr I loved his hot tent videos I had won his last giveaway and didn’t even know until he told me not many people would have done that. You are missed brother I know your in heaven now probably in a hot tent camping out rest easy brother

Still gutted Kevin is gone, 8th January today, I am rewatching many of Kevin’s videos today. Same day my dad died 8th of January. I miss my dad and I miss Kevin. Never fair this life so go out and smash it folks.
Just my take. Life lesson. You never know how your life will affect someone else's. Be truthful, be kind, be sincere. Live your life to the fullest in anyway you can. Take nothing for granted, give back what and when you can. For me this is what I found in Kevin's videos. It wasn't explicit or demonstrative it just was what it was. He provided an escape for himself and took his audience along. Not as watchers but as participants. He let you smell the smoke and bacon. Hear the rain. Feel the cold of the snow and heat of a fire. He shared his passion for nature and camping. To share your life, how ever small a sample, with people you never met is the most precious thing a person can do. You made a mark that will be forever cherished and appreciated. Thanks Kevin
Nicely put. Kevin makes it look so possible for the average viewer to try unlike a lot of camping channels. I have a fastfold ti stove now and a tipi but lockdown makes it illegal to use, may have to Steve Wallis it soon and stealth camp. I always start my stove at home with Kevin’s Vaseline and cotton wool, it always works. I miss him very much, a very original human being. You stay well.

Six months later I just found out about his death. So, it’s not obvious He was gone if you just watch the videos. It’s obvious he would die soon of a heart attack. I spotted it years earlier and said some nice things to him back then. I don’t know the culture he was surrounded by, so there was no way to effectively communicate the future to him, but he was seemingly having fun. I found it sad watching him get bigger, knowing what was going to happen. The vids are very good though. You could see that my comments had helped him get better at making life videos. We had a positive effect on his life.

You’re obviously not watching the videos closely enough cause it was obvious 3 years ago. You’ve got a lot of work to do on your personality if you’re going to help your own family in life.
I have got to say, I am shocked. I got on to Kevin's channel a little over a year ago and learned so much from the skills that he had. But along with his skills, one of the best part of his videos was his sense of humor with a pinch or sarcasm. One of my favorite lines you would hear occasionally "look, I batoned and I didn't die!" What a great guy. I will truly miss his once a week videos. I hope his family leaves up his videos as a tribute to him. Rest in Peace Kevn.
Just found out today that he passed on. Even though I didn’t know him personally I sort of feel like I did because of TH-cam and his channel. I always enjoyed his outings in the outdoors. And I’ve purchased many items based on his reviews. He was so young. At different points last year he discussed in some videos about getting back in shape. When I watched those videos I thought about that too for myself. I’ve had health issues in the past and with this pandemic we’re living thru it makes me ponder about what changes I need to make. I have an amazing wife and two great kids and I want to be there for them for a long time. Learning today of Kevin’s passing makes me realize that life is too short. R.I.P brother.
I was watching a hot tent video last night and it was nice but not comparable to MegaWoodswalker. None are comparable. God bless your friends and loved ones Amigo! Thank you for helping me through the early months of the pandemic!
Rest in pease MegaWoodswalker, I have only been watching your videos for a few weeks and I have really enjoyed every minute of the videos, you helped me change my view of Winter to a much more positive view since I live in Canada. R.I.H.....enjoy the great woods in the sky....gone but not forgotten...my respects and condolences
Very upsetting to learn of Kevin's passing. Peace to his family and condolences.... Like losing a friend. What a shock.
Snow is falling...... hot tenting season just started. But it will never be the same again without you sharing your hot tenting videos with us.
God I’m gonna miss his videos. Rest In Peace my friend. God bless you and your family
I was out for a trail run this afternoon and I passed a guy who reminded me of Kevin. Hope you're enjoying your walks wherever you are.
Praying for the family I have enjoyed this channel!!! Rip mega woods walker!!!
I am sorry to hear that you have passed away, Thank you for all the great content here on your channel. You will be missed.
Loved his videos they were very inspiring such a great loss godspeed brother
I have got to say, I am shocked. I got on to Kevin's channel a little over a year ago and learned so much from the skills that he had. But along with his skills, one of the best part of his videos was his sense of humor with a pinch or sarcasm. One of my favorite lines you would hear occasionally "look, I batoned and I didn't die!"
What a great guy.
It's hard to believe. So unreal. He seemed so alive and joyful.
Well, you weren’t paying attention.
Comments from a self centred person.
Rest In Peace Kevin. Hope all your subscribers have learned some skills that you have shown. ATB Mike
I learned more about humanity than i did the outdoors from Kev. He was a great guy, i really miss his presence...

Rest in pease MegaWoodswalker, I have only been watching your videos for a few weeks and I have really enjoyed every minute of the videos, you helped me change my view of Winter to a much more positive view since I live in Canada. Also learned a lot from you, you seemed like a very kind and peaceful person. God bless and Rest In Peace.
