  • This video shows the North Kansas City home where mob boss Nick Civella lived. His home is at the end of the brief video. I shot the video on my iPhone on Nov. 24, 2017.

Thanks for sharing. It's part of Kansas City history that many don't know. In The Godfather movie, Nick Civella was at the meeting of the mafia bosses. He's the one they referred to as coming from Kansas City.

My grandma used to drive me through this neighborhood and tell me these stories. Said all 3 houses on the corner and one behind were connected. Told me the had bowling alley and tunnels. Always wondered how she knew about it though. Now I know she was right

@freshflights, the homes do share backyards. We just bought one of these home and I was wondering why we had a connecting fence. I found out recently it was due to the Mafia.

Those homes in that neighborhood share backyards and have tunnels running from house to house.

@@JuniorB.KC41 either you know about them and are trying to cover up the fact that they exist(ed), or you have no idea what you're talking about. The KC family started using tunnels during prohibition. Capone had a massive network of tunnels in downtown KC. Those have been closed off, and perhaps they have closed off some or all of the tunnels in NKC, but they absolutely did or still do have them.

@@JuniorB.KC41 there are at least 4 homes directly neighboring this one that are owned and occupied by the Civellas, the Simones, and the Cammisanos. Why wouldn't they have underground tunnels?
