So happy to see Survivor go into the ground and I can’t wait to see her thrive there next season.

I really enjoy the calming and reassuring effect your videos have on my day. Always excited when I see you pop up on You Tube. I appreciate the normalcy of your shared material.

What a resilient hyndrangea tree, surviving! Name definitely fitting. Can’t wait to see Survivor comeback next year, please update us 😊

I use a layer or two of cardboard whenever I start a new garden bed and don’t want the hassle of digging of the existing grass and weeds. I put a layer of compost and/or wood mulch over the cardboard. It breaks down beautifully over 6+ months and leaves great soil with lots of earthworms. So I am a vote for using cardboard if you like!

I love your experiment for the cardboard/ wood mulch! I have used my own variation of the cardboard mulch this past summer and am thinking of doing it again, I did not kill all the grass but 90% of it and only a bit popped through and has been easy to pull out when it did, I did remove some of the cardboard when I planted areas. Never used any waxy cardboard’ looking forward to seeing this! Thanks for your videos, always learning something new!

This will be the first year I'm going to lay cardboard in my landscaping where I planted my new perennials. I've been gathering leaves and weed whipping them to a pulp for mulch in my garbage can and going to lay that on top of the cardboard. I'm hoping it all breaks down well and helps kill the huge amount of weeds I get there and enrich the dirt. I'm doing this the poor man's way because, well, I'm poor lol.

Someone recommended volleyball knee pads to me. The past 2 days has been a take down your fountains day for me. We have a cold front coming through in Zone 7A so I guess I've pushed the limit as far as I can. 😅 Still planting though!

Plain cardboard is better than landscaping fabric which is made of woven threads of plastic and has PFAS.
