I feel the same way as you. When I was in my early 20s I very much wanted the hustle and bustle type lifestyle in NYC or Chicago. Now I’m 25 and dream of cottage core lifestyle with fields and ponds surrounding me 😌
If you think about it though, it’s kind of a good thing to spend the earlier years of your life in the environment
It exposes you to many new things and experiences, makes you a well versed and sociable person. You will just know about more from being there and interacting with people, ALOT more. You’ll know how the world works alot more since it’s a melting pot of the whole world. The things you pick up are priceless imo. Plus you can pretty much get into anything like that.

@@Sinstat I agree. I think balance is very important in life. I’ve always wanted to live somewhere remote surrounded by woods or fields but, close enough to a bigger city so I could have the best of both worlds 😅
Is this not also semi due to what is branded as a cool way of living? I feel like 6 years ago the hustle lifestyle was very glorified, while now the cottage core lifestyle is.

I just returned back to Canada from my first trip to NYC. After watching your NYC vlogs, I wrote down all the recommendations- I especially loved Boris and Horton with the great coffee, kind staff & sweet pups. Although we stayed just two full days, I was able to see a lot- I loved to people-watch and wonder at the possibility and excitement of the city. I turned 18 last week and am finishing high school in a small town. Visiting an exciting city was incredible and eye-opening, as it reminded me that the world is so much bigger than what I can find in my town and that life will get better beyond just high school and teenagehood. NYC is full of dreams, and I am so lucky to have met the city.

Even before you went to Paris, I said you and Nathaniel are so alike. I can totally see them being friends. And then was really excited to see the two of you in Paris and then again now. And then there is Damon and his book, The Strand, as well as Jack-this was just jam-packed with crossovers-I loved it. Yes, rest and calm are important-take care you! 😊
I just want to say I’m those moments when you feel blue. You are so awesome and inspirational. At your age I was not nearly as on top of stuff. You got this and I love watching you. I’ve been watching (and loving!) your videos for a while now and I have a few thoughts:
-you clearly have a lot of exciting things going on which is great!! You’re probably just (naturally) overwhelmed by it all and it’s OK
-I also feel like NYC isn’t your permanent home and idk why - some beach destination for sure possibly in Europe? I could definitely see you living abroad “am American in *said foreign country* Europe or other around the Mediterranean?! I’ve been in NYC almost a decade now, and I love it for what I’m doing (music) but idk I also wouldn’t want you to leave because your perspective is *chefs kiss* 🤌

completely relate to how you are feeling, i’m 25 and the things that are important to me (and not what’s important the rest of society/my peers etc) are starting to come more clearly into focus. i’m just trying to listen and not fight it, and incorporate more of those things into my life (slow time, walks, nature, reading, taking care of myself) as i phase out of partying and going out just cause ‘that’s what you do in your 20s’. i still like to go out but i don’t feel as much fomo when i choose to say no sometimes!

I definitely feel you are ready to leave NYC and explore something new! I am feeling similar emotions right now and putting some plans into monitions is really helping me motivate myself and trust in that I'm making the right decision! Also agree to the 'saying no' conversation - so difficult at the start but it truly is a matter of respecting yourself and serving your needs first! Only good things can come from that 🥰🙏

Love your videos :) That is insane about clinical studies - I did not know that either. Look up stats on the weight and variables that they use for car crash/seat belt/air bags for cars. It's VERY skewed towards a small percentage of smaller women and insane that even today better safety standards aren't used.
