The Red Bull Summer Edition we have here in the US is Caruba & Elderflower. Caruba was new to me and I guess is a tropical fruit of some kind. Decent flavor, though there isn’t a zero sugar option for it.
Yay - a konbini quest! I’d probably love the beef gyudon but with extra extra beef. Not sure about adding cheese to it like you said you get at Sukiya. Doesn’t the cheese sauce overpower the beef taste?
We don’t have that like Red Bull flavor in the US sadly. Sounded good. All of the food you tried sounded good! I think the curry pan would have been my favorite, with that gyu-don being a close second :)
I would also describe okonomiyaki as being more similar to an omelet than a pancake. The first time I tried it, it was not at all what I was expecting due to my expectation that it was going to be pancake like. Still delicious, though!
Having a home made okonomiyaki (sadly, no bonito flakes) for supper soon but curious to see what a hand held one is like. Beef curry, chicken curry? Choux cream ... haven't had one of those in ages. Filled with sweetened whipped cream is nice, but vanilla pastry cream is even better. ;)
Altogether it added up to quite a bit, I didn't need to eat again after that. Hope you can make some good okonomiyaki ---some restaurants let you cook it yourself at the table, but I prefer having the staff do it ;)
Love these videos. To be honest every single one of those thi gs sounded and looked great. Yum. Don't usually like any Red Bull but love naything lime flav so would give that a go too 👌👌👌
The 7-11s in the US are supposed to be changing their menu to be more Japanese. But I suspect the food won't be as fresh. Unfortunately, I no longer live near a 7-11. I love the Konbini Quests.
Yeah, it's gotta be because of the batter ---and also there is already an omelette dish that might cause confusion. I've even heard a pizza comparison... none are great
While curry and fried rice are never served with chopsticks, it's unreasonable and unacceptable that gyudon is always with them. I always get a spoon for gyudon
I usually grab the spork, but this was my first time using chopsticks ---it seemed to work fine though. Curry or fried rice would be more difficult I can imagine.
@CriticalEatsJapan I heard the company that owns 7Eleven Japan bought 7Eleven in the US, & their plan is to bring in more type of products sold in Japan.
Always love the Konbini Quests!
Thanks for watching!👍
I like the multi-shot intro! Gives me a taste of what's to come without revealing too much.
Thanks, I thought it would speed things up ;)
I love Okonomiyaki, it's one of my favorite Japanese dishes. The gyudon bowl and the custard cream puff looked good
The clip is from my road trip to Hiroshima in 2022 ---they have a multistorey building with several okonomiyaki restaurants on every floor👍
They all look tasty. The curry pan would definitely be one I'd try. The guydon looked very good too. All great choices👍😊
Really hit the spot that day👍

Yeah, this one may not seem very exceptional, but I really do like the lime flavour in a RedBull
That Red Bull edition is one my favorites for far
Love seeing what you pick up at the konbini. Always something interesting. Convenience stores here sell the most basic and boring food ever invented.
Sometimes it's hard to limit the number of things I choose ;)
that dessert was right up my alley, custard is usually a safe bet that it'll be decent.
It was a good one, nice and cool on a hot day👍
I wasnt able to sleep and suddenly your video showed up, perfect timing :D great Konbini Quest as always!
Thanks for watching!👍

They also give a packet of Tabasco that really goes well with the cheese and beef👍
I think I'd go for the cream puff, but I always like dessert first. I can see why those were all favorites.
I could have grabbed a few others but had to refrain ;)
That bread had a long shelf life from 2001 the noodles looked good too nice find
Solid👍
The beef Gyudon would be my choice too! Great review, hope you’re doing well! Have a great weekend!
Gyudon is always good. I had a similar ginger pork bowl again the other day ;)
Love konbini quests! Looks tasty!👋😎
Nice Sharing! I enjoy your video~
I love the warm nacho cheese and chili dispenser @ my 7-11.
Oh wow! Self serve cheese?
Yeees!! You know I love these!!! Let's goooo
Sometimes I have to cut myself off from grabbing too many items... ;)
I would try all of them, but I think the gyudon beef bowl and the cream puff would be the most enjoyable to me.
Both very good!👍
The curry pan looked tasty.
Yes, and not as greasy as some others I have tried too👍

Yeah, some flavours can be hit or miss ---just the basic lime flavour is a refreshing winner👍
I would also describe okonomiyaki as being more similar to an omelet than a pancake. The first time I tried it, it was not at all what I was expecting due to my expectation that it was going to be pancake like. Still delicious, though!
It is good, but I usually have to be in the mood for it ;)

A very top rank Ed konbini quest video. Was there more other options that were not available? Anything good in the hot section?
Yeah, a few days later I had a similar ginger pork bowl that was quite good. And a little cheaper too👍
Love these videos. To be honest every single one of those thi gs sounded and looked great. Yum. Don't usually like any Red Bull but love naything lime flav so would give that a go too 👌👌👌
I normally only drink RedBull to try the new seasonal flavours ---but only if they sound good. This was a good one👍

Oh yeah, I heard they were testing something out in Vancouver recently
I watched this before bfast, and guess what was then for bdast, Ramen noodles with scrambled eggs and teryaki sauce. Lol
Ramen for breakfast? ;)
Everything looked great. Well Im not a energy drink fan. 🤙
Some are definitely better than others
The cheese was toasted on the bun ;)
That could be it. I was expecting actual cheese inside like I've had in other curry pans... It was still good.
I want to try omioniyaki (sorry spelling) does it have cabbage in it?
Okonomiyaki usually does have cabbage in it, but there are many different toppings you can add
The amount of food you get for the price is amazing, at least when measured to EUR. The YEN is still very low eh?
Yes, very weak ---think of it more like an hour working at minimum wage. Though I'm sure that varies across Europe ;)
only of those things i can get at my local 711 is the green redbull...but its not lime flavored lol are you sure you can read japanese
Not lime? What would it be then?
Never understood the "Japanese pancake" only similarity is there is batter in it
Yeah, it's gotta be because of the batter ---and also there is already an omelette dish that might cause confusion. I've even heard a pizza comparison... none are great

I hate our 7-11's
I heard they might be trying to expand the Japan model elsewhere these days
@@CriticalEatsJapan That would be nice
Japan does know how to do the convenience store foods and vendo-land foods.
@CriticalEatsJapan I heard the company that owns 7Eleven Japan bought 7Eleven in the US, & their plan is to bring in more type of products sold in Japan.
👍
Something, to have 😋🥄🍽
