I picked up this watch for $95 Black Friday and love it! I’ve had it a few weeks and it’s only 10-12 seconds fast a day and wears great. I’m new to watches and didn’t even know what a JLC was until looking finding this brand. The lume is decent too.
Great review with the exception of your view of the The Day -Date complication, I respect your view however I believe a watch should have great aesthetics but most of all fit and function. I would agree that the watch could show a more creative way of displaying the Day-Date complication but for me a watch isn't complete if it doesn't encompass the complete essence of the day. I really enjoyed the closeup presentation of the video. Thank you
Thanks for a great review. A perfect summer beater watch which I'm certain I'll be asked about. Currently available on Amazon so I pulled the trigger and it arrives tomorrow.
Nice looking watch but apart from the day date rather than only date on the original it's a total carbon copy. ı don't tend to go for watches that don't have at least one very noticeable difference, but they just went for a complete clone job. It is a decent watch though for the many people who don't care either way! To be clear I'm not criticizing it at all just that it's not something I'd personally go for. Excellent review as always!
I bought this model on Berny's website, I do not recommend buying these watches. the guarantee that the buyer offers, if there is a problem, does not comply with it.
I honestly don't know if these Chinese "homage" brands are just plain stupid or too prideful. Brands like Berny, San Martin, Pagani Design and several others actually make great looking, impressively high quality "homage" watches for the price. For $60 USD or even lower, I've seen legit sapphire glass and that alone is amazing. Sure the movements are average, but they work well. The only problem is that they decide to use their entire brand name on the watch face. I know that Pagani has certain watches where it's just a logo, but for the most part, it's just embarassing to have a watch with these weird names on them. Just use a freaking logo for crying out loud. I am 100% certain that they will sell so many more watches if it wasn't for the stupid names ruining great looking watches.
@@Area_man115 It's not that it's a weird name, it's that the watch is made to look very similar to other brand name watches, so it's bad to have a random name on the watch face that no one is familiar with.

Chinese brands have sime nonsensicle tongue twister brand names? Sure. But then again, a Chinese watchmaker anglified its brand as Welly Merck, and Karens had kittens over that choice. They cried and moaned, and Welly Merck became WM. People should just get over themselves. Instead of yowling about the funny brand names of Chinese watch brand, how about being real, adult, principled human beings and express outrage over the poverty wages paid by Chinese watchmakes? Or pound the table over the rampant snd shameless theft of the intellectual property of Western watchmakers? No - if we in the west put on our big boy pants and took a moral stand against these thives paying slave wages, we might have to pay a humane price for our watches! We can’t do that! Instead, let’s assuage our guilt by indtead complaining that these criminal enterprises aren’t adequately camouflaging their true selves enough from us, because failure to anglicize makes us feel icky.! Don’t make us feel icky, criminals! But don’t get too cute about it with your Welly and your Berny. Pick brands that are vague. Maybe name your watches after trees, or fish, or rocks, or hand tools. Until you do that, we will continue to bitterly complain about that inconseqential nonsense. It’s s good distraction from the 800 pound gorilla. But if they ever, finally, get their branding right, what will we then contrive as the next distraction?

Such videos keep proving that big fancy watch names take their customers for a ride. Sure, finish is better but not thousands of dollars better. Oh well. And I genuinely think thst Berny is a better looking watch than its French whatever mouthful name watch counterpart.

Agree. Day-date complication is a must, especially when you have a mixed working week.

There’s nothing weird about the name Berny. It’s a popular name. Much more normal than Seiko, for example.

The bezel turns, so a lumed pip would mean you can measure elapsed time in the dark, like this, you can use the bezel only when you can see it
