I've seen The Roy Rogers Show on Cable tv, what amazed me about Roy Rogers and Dale Evans is that they're stories were inspiring to kids and young cowfolks everywhere. Me and my grandpa loves Roy Rogers and Dale evans. Happy Trails to you, until we meet Again.
I met Roy Rogers when I managed a restaurant in Victorville, They were both great and the nicest people you could ever meet. He was my boyhood hero. May God bless them both. We need them today!
I was born in 1946. Roy, Dale and Trigger and Bullet were my hero's when I was a kid. They kept our whole family entertained on Saturday morning. In real life, they were awesome people RIP
I lived .6 miles away from Roy and Dale. I used to tell people...we're neighbors. Very quite people. Have a few wonderful stories of them. Two of the greatest people. The world needs more people like these two icons.
Took my mom to see Roy and,Dale's last appearance in 1995, with the Sons of the Pioneers in Tucson. They were AWESOME and it was the thrill of my life! They are sorely missed.
I was born in 1951, so I also grew up watching Roy Rogers and Dale Evans on my family's black and white TV. Like the lone Ranger and Zorro, Roy and Dale where our role models. Everybody knew that Roy's horse was called trigger, but I wonder how many people remember that Dale's horse was called Buttermilk. Every one of their shows ended with their theme song, Happy Trails. My entire family would join in and sing along. I'm now 71 years old and I still watch old episodes of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, the lone ranger, Zorro and so on and so on because magically I'm a kid once again, even if it's only for 30 minutes.
I grew up after their heyday in the 1960's, but watched everything I could find on TV. I loved Roy and Dale. How I wish there were still people like them in TV and movies today.
Yep...the 1950's were the best days...simplistic family oriented and family neighbor get togethers. Loved Roy and Dale. Their show and also Sky King... The Flintstones and Jetsons... HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN! +♡+
my all time favorite couple...they always blessed my life. To this day westerns are my favorite movie genre. Saddle up your horses, we got a trail to blaze, into the wild blue yonder with God's amazing grace. Let's follow our leader into the great unknown, life like no other...this is the great adventure!
Thank you for sharing this video. I met Roy at his museum when I was a very young boy, this would have been the early eighty's. I don't remember much of it other than my parents making an extremely big deal out of the occasion. It's great to see the history of these American originals.
I was born in 1934, and Roy Rogers was the love of my life. I simply adored him. I got goose-bumps every time I heard him sing. My 2nd cousin Jerry Amstrutz was just as much as fan as I was, and we loved getting together and sharing our newest 78 RPM records of Roy singing. I had more than one scrapbook filled with clippings and pictures of Roy Rogers and his family and movies
I used to watch Roy Rogers and Gene Autry on TV as a kid in the 50's. Believe both died the same year. A beautiful grave site....may they both rest in peace.
I was born in 1938. Roy &Trigger were very important to me and my sister. Our Dad took us to Indianapolis to see them in person. We never forgot it. His personna shaped many lives. Happy Trails to the King of the Cowboys.🤠❤❤
I loved Roy Rogers and Trigger growing up. Loved Dale Evan's too. Watched Roy Rogers TV show and movies. Son of Palehouse with Roy Rogers and Bob Hope was my favorite. Trigger done tricks and danced! Did you see Roy and Dale at The Indiana State Fair? Happy trails!
I once cleaned their carpet when I had s carpet cleaning co. I introduced them to my father. He was so happy. Roy was one of his favorite characters when he was a child. Rest In Peace my friend.
I have beautiful memories of Forest Home down the road from The Lodge at Mears Lake where Roy Rogers & Dale Evans used to preside over meetings, whatever it was they did I wasn't there but the vibe remained. She also spoke at our church, Hollywood First Presbyterian Church in Hollywood, California. I was a young girl and loved Forest Home and all this was tied up with my love of horses and the old west, shown to me by the movies they made. What a wonderful childhood gift they gave me. Rest in Peace, Roy & Dale. Blessings....
IN 1972, as a young Harris County Deputy Sheriff, I had the privilege and honor of riding with them in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade ~ HAPPY TRAILS ROY& DALE UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.......
I was born in 1944, spent my Saturdays glued to all the western. Johnny Mack Brown, Lash Larue. Roy and Gene. Those were they days. They always taught us to be upstanding citizens.
Roy Rogers' show on Saturday mornings was part and parcel of the Baby Boomers childhoods. Along with other Saturday morning fare (The Cisco Kid, Sky King, Tarzan, The Lone Ranger, etc.)), it was a pleasant interlude between school days and Sunday. I will never forgive myself for not visiting (they frequently met with visitors to their "museum") when I first moved to CA to tell them both how much that show meant at the time, singing "Happy Trails" at the end of each "and they all lived peacefully in law and order after" shows.
Here in Ireland in the fifties the highlight of the week was going to see a Roy Rogers movie. I have a collection of Roy and Dale on DVD and enjoy showing them to my grand kids. We so enjoyed the matinees back then, along with Roy there was Gene, Hoppy, Rex and many more. They just don't make them like that any more. John from Ireland.
Thank you for the respectful quietude as you visited the gravesites. I appreciate that. And thank you for the video. My wife and I have passed through Apple Valley numerous times on I-15, to and from the LA area. Somehow, never the chance to stop. Again thanks.
Always big Fans of them My Dad use to take me growing up to see their Rodeo every time Roy came to Madison Square Garden in NY May they RIP and are missed by all of their Fans etc.
Beautiful story about Roy and Dale their place is lovely. As a child I wanted to be Roy's and Dale's daughter like every other young girl growing up in the fifties. Thanks for sharing the video.
hi jack I avoid looking at the resting place of film /music stars but I could not ignore my childhood hero I' thank you sincerely for this great video. happy trails.
Steven Roland My uncle was a mason but not a Shriner or in the upper echelon . He was a baptist preacher and was for real. So I'm confused on the masons. What I've heard and what I've seen are two different things!
The Masons and Shriners are benevolent fraternal societies. All of the conspiracy theorists try to make them out to be something sinister. They are a group of men who got together for fellowship and do do good works.
They are one of a few little did they know helped me survive a very ugly abusive childhood wish I could of met them always wished they was my parents. Thank you for this video.
Dorothra I am so sorry you had an abusive childhood. I too suffered from some abuse as a kid. But I know others suffered a great deal more than I did. God Bless you.
My wife Birgie, and I, are praying for you. We relate to your pain of being abused. Having ideal, parental role models, is a powerful shaper of goodness. Happy trails to you Dorotha , until we meet again. Never give up!!!
What a sad story! Beautiful place too be laid too sleep he was wonderful at hiding his tears , I hope this place always continues to exist. Happy trails two of the most beautiful cow people rest easy .
I had a crush on. Roy. Rogers in fourth grade. His picture was on the cover of my tablet, also matinees on saturdays, oh the good good days of forties and fifties
I have also been to this site and it is very peaceful and quiet. It is a lovely place to just go and sit. Sadly, the Apple Valley, Hisperia area has "gone downhill" over the years since they first moved to the area. The Museum has also sadly been torn down and no longer exists.
If I wanted to be buried it would be there...I lived there....and met them...Happy Trails...The live horse is there for those who want a horse escort to their grave site...
The narration near the end about the house originally sitting on 67 acres is incorrect. The "67 acres" is a reference to Roy and Dale's ranch in Oro Grande, about a half-hour's drive north from the house. A lot of people confuse the two.
I once attended a religious service in which Dale Evans Rogers spoke. My wife and I sat no more than ten feet away from her. I wish I had gotten her autograph.
I know @Hope King but the family tried hard with the museum in Victorville & it just could not generate enough interest to make ends meet. Later, the family did a museum in Branson and it could not make it there either. The family hated to but eventually did an auction where much was able to be shared with all of Roy and Dale’s fans. We miss this God-fearing marvelous couple. 💕💕💕🌷🌷
Roy Roger back in the lates 80"s use to go to sunday breakfast at Jillys restraunt on highway 18 in apple valley I recall going with my grand father on sundays and would see roy arrive to eat there
Thank you for the video. Roy Rogers was very popular in México too, I used to read his comics every week in the 50´s and of course saw his movies. One question, why are there three crosses in each tumb ?
Nice video. What happened to the children? Nobody ever say anything about them. Dale had a daughter when she was a teenager. Where is she? Loved their movies even if they were singing. Lovely couple, so devoted to each other.
Who owns the property now, they ended up selling by auction everything in the Roy Rogers museum. I liked them and still watch some of their older movies before he was a star and just one of the singers in the Sun of the Pioneers. I even saw a movie were he was a bad guy.

I was born in ‘46. We didn’t have a TV until I was 11. So I began enjoying watching them on TV in ‘57…..here in Ontario Canada.
HAPPY TRAILS ROY AND DALE. thank you for showing a young boy how to be a decent human being.

I once attended a religious service in which Dale Evans Rogers spoke. My wife and I sat no more than ten feet away from her. I wish I had gotten her autograph.
Sad they developed all the land out. It would be awesome if they would have left it and made it all a museum.
Hope King That would be great!!! Wish it were so
